Reviews for Hotel Cavallino D'Oro
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Enjoyed the style and attention to detail of a great country inn, located within the village. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast offering and outstanding sauna/spa facility. Beautifully decorated in a traditional yet modern way, very elegant.
Review 3:Fantastic location and fantastic service. Great base for those wanting to explore the glorious Alpe di Siusi. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even printing off our train tickets for upcoming trips. Breakfast was amazing. Always greeted with a smile. Highly recommended!!
Review 4:The hotel is on the town square, so could be quite noisy and right next to a large church bell tower, so take your ear plugs!
Review 5:Very central location in the heart of the town, excellent staff and breakfast. Shame there was no where to sit out to have a drink in the evening.
Review 6:The facilities were impressive – from the various lounges on the first floor, to the free washer and dryer, to the sauna and massage areas, and the free garage parking. The staff too were extremely helpful. And the central location makes this the perfect place to stay.
Review 7:would have liked to have stayed another night.
Review 8:hotel staff was excellent, room was just great - lots of room, bathroom sparkling, fun balcony with great view, excellent breakfast.
Review 9:Nothing. Only to point out that you cannot sleep late here - the hotel is in the main square - right next to the clock tower. Vigorous ringing starts at 7. But - I liked it!
Review 10:The staff could not do enough for us. No need to go to tourist info office- they met us with a full package of schedules and maps, and they gave excellent advice on what to see and do. Also loved the breakfast
Review 11:Cavallino is a warm and lovely place to stay. Clean rooms full with though and care for the customer. The staff were extra kind and assisted with anything needed. We had a wonderful visit and we are looking forward to visit the Cavallino hotel again!
Review 12:Loved the friendliness of this charming hotel and the camaraderie they encourage amongst their guests by the free drink every night before dinner. The food was excellent and breakfasts lavish. We LOVED the washer and dryer they provided which allowed us to do wash--such a convenience for those of us who travel light. The hotel was well located in the heart of the city next to the church. The front desk provides lots of direction and supports for hikes , bus connections and activities.
Review 13:Wifi only worked well in the lounge
Review 14:Great location Hotel parking Convenient to the bus Terrific dinners for 15(!) euros Excellent breakfast Large comfortable public areas with bar Very helpful staff
Review 15:A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff that ensure a great stay. Very conveniently located in the exact center of Castelrotto. Our favorite hotel on the trip.

Review 17:Dinner was great w set menu and staff was extremely helpful. Decor was charming. Location was prime in center of village in the Dolomites
Review 18:Leaving.
Review 19:In our fourteen years of travelling to Europe, this is one of the most enjoyable experiences we have in any hotels. When we first arrived the desk clerk helped us unload our car and take it to the lift. The surroundings were clean and attractive. Our very spacious room was nicely decorated and had a canopy bed. Truly gourmet dinners were provided at a very inexpensive cost. The salad bar was the best anywhere. Breakfast was also very good. The staff was both professional and courteous all the time. Parking was nearby in an easily accessible garage. The hotel is in the middle of a pedestrian area which is common in Europe but the garage entrance is outside on a main street. Very scenic area, many natural sights to enjoy and picturesque small towns to visit. Kastellruth is a wonderful town to wander in and enjoy.
Review 20:Unfortunately, being in the center of town means that most rooms facing the square are very noisy--the bells start at 6:45 and continue at 7 and 7:15 and then again at 7:45, 8, 8:15, etc. The rooms on the opposite side of the building face the bus station and that got loud too (we have stayed on both sides of the building during our 2 stays there). No washcloths and a very hard mattress were also annoying. We did not enjoy the dinners this visit--mostly game and the pork roast was very fatty so we only ate one night at the hotel and ate elsewhere for dinner, though the price is very good for the dinners with the room.
Review 21:Location is very good, right in the center of town. Breakfast very good, plenty of selection of items. Staff very friendly and helpful. Washer and dryer handy if this stop is in the middle of a trip.
Review 22:The small comfortable feel of the hotel makes it very homey, but every amenity has been considered...the staff could not be friendlier or more thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and are anticipating our return.
