Review 1：Didn't seem to have any concierge or English brochures for local attractions. Room smallish for three people ( one adult and two teenagers) but value for money made up for it a bit.

Review 2：Close to the train station and plenty of facilities in the hotel except a gym. walking distance to shops and easy walk to Toyama castle.

Review 4：Location is near central to Toyama city. There are many restaurants within walking distance from Hotel Grand Terrace Toyama which the hotel staff kindly recommended. Breakfst area has nice view of the Japanese Alps on a clear day.

Review 5：The room was very dusty. We patted the comforter and curtains and we could see dust fly into the air. The carpet and chair upholstery were old and stained. The room temperature control was unresponsive, and we only had 5 TV channels.

Review 6：The hotel is a convenient ~5 minute walk from the Toyama train station and it is reasonably priced. The room was very spacious for Japanese standards and the breakfast buffet was great (+1000 yen). The room amenities were good (tea, fridge, toiletries, slippers). The hotel let us check in a little earlier and check out was quick.

Review 7：The room we stayed is not properly clean. First, we found some rubbish on the floor after check-in. At night, as something went under the bed, we found leftover sock and one bedroom slipper under the bed. The next day, when we are back in the evening. Pants left on the bed earlier was on the floor instead. I think the hotel needs to evaluate their housekeeping services as cleanliness is one of the most important factor for any short term stay.

Review 8：Staff was hospitable. Central heater was turned on so the rooms did not have air conditioning. They offered fans instead as a solution and we were fine with that. This is a stark contrast with my experience in Takayama with the same issue.

Review 9：Even though it's a non-smoking floor we can still detect cigarette smoke along the corridors of the rooms.

They just gave us the keys and didn't explain anything. The info provided in the room are all in Japanese. Need Wi-Fi in the room (only wired internet available in room).

Review 14：The location and the twin beds (size of the single is decent). The reception hall is very nice and has lots of seating areas for Wi-Fi users. Free bike use (but we didn't have enough time to try that out). Free coffee for hotel guests at the cafe on reception level.

Review 21：When you are at the lobby it feels like a 5 star hotel, is very comfortable to spend some time there at the sofas with the relaxing music, rooms are great, front desk personal even helped me with a call in Japanese to resolve a trouble with a booking at other city. Breakfast was excellent and included. Still can not believe I payed so little for all that quality.

Review 34：Complication at check-out when my spouse's previous night's room charge (for her employer's account) was added to my independent booking (to be charged to me for the two of us) although she had already settled her own account. However, it was finally resolved and understood by the Hotel.

Review 36：Please be informed that the hotel does not have english signboard, they put their hotel name in Japanese letters, it was really challenging for us to find the hotel. The hotel is old, and the facilities are old as well. Also we were put in non-smoking room, yet we could smell it strong enough. This hotel is definitely only for a short period of stay, or for transit purpose only before going to Alpine Route.

Review 37：Staff were really friendly, and even with their english limitation, they were really trying to accommodate our needs. Location is a 10 minutes walk to the stations, it is quite convenient to access downtown.

Review 38：It's always difficult traveling in a country that doesn't speak your language and you only know a few words in there's. I found toyama the most difficult city to navigate and ask for help in all of japan. Not many people can speak English and we're not very willing to help me out. The staff seemed to look down upon me. Maybe because I'm a 21 year old girl traveling by myself? All the more reason to help me.

Review 39：The air conditioning felt wonderful after spending 2 months in the humidity and heat. It was also nice that there was a mini fridge so I bought my breakfast from the nearby convini. It's small but it was enough save for me. Made my toyama trip a bit more comfortable.

Review 40：Mr. Araki Satoshi, the hotel staff, was very helpful in calling the sushi restaurant for the availability of the fish product before we trek to the restaurant. The next morning at 0700, Mr. Araki helped us to find an ATM near the hotel when most are not available.

Review 44：Nice locality nearer to the Dentetsu station. For JR and highway bus it is about 10 mins stroll. Amenities are nearby such shopping, entertainment, food etc within 5 to 10 mins radius. There are even two bikes for hotel guest usage.

Review 87：Nice cozy room, with the cleaniess to be expected from a hotel. Everything is neat. No wifi in the rooms but they provide you with a router if you ask. Strong network with it. They have bikes free to borrow as well! Not the closest but close enough to the JR and local train stations.

Review 90：Staff really not customer oriented, and spoke very little English. They really did not want to be bothered by foreigners. Airconditioning was not turned on because it was not the season to do so. They claimed they turned it on after I complained but the unit only blew air like a fan. Had to open the windows to cool the room, letting in the traffic noise, and noise from the trains, etc. Like any japanese hotel, only four clothes hangers in the room. The room slippers they supplied were old and very dirty and sticky to wear.
