Reviews for Hotel Clitunno
Review 1:awful coffee for breakfast! dirty bathroom
Review 2:close to the city centre kind staff we ordered twin beds but had possibility to change room to double bed (but in fact room had lower quality)
Review 3:The staff was not always present at the desk No computer facilities in the hall The bathroom door didn't work very well and wc brush not clean.
Review 4:The location was central but quiet, the little palace elegant and well kept
Review 5:The food in the restaurant was excellant and not expensive.I do recommend the restaurant. One of the sons of the owner is very polite and helpfull, but please you have a beautifull building but it needs to be UPGRADED.
Review 6:The clicker for the TV was nowhere to be found. The manager helped me look for it, and he even tried to find one that matched from another room, but could not find one.
Review 7:I liked this place a lot! The room decor is very tastefully designed. I had a balcony window which was super. The bathtub was excellent! Very comfortable place. Liked it as soon as I got there. Also a little refrigerator in the room. And best of all, there is a bird that sings so beautifully in morning and evening outside the hotel. This was a really nice place! Parking is easy and right beside the hotel.
Review 8:No one offered to park my car, which is important because Spoleto is a rabbit warren of narrow paint scraping alleys and the park was an unfamiliar ten minute walk back. My room had a shabby desk with blistered veneer. The bedside wall lights fall over if you touch them. Tea making facilities had no coffee and no milk. The minibar was totally empty and not switched on. The impressive flat screen TV had only one channel available!!! ...and that was a mad Italian shopping channel.I reached for a kleenex in the bathroom and discovered there was only one sheet in the box!... seriously one sheet!! I was sleeping so room service couldn't clean, but they never came back over my 2day stay. The breakfast service was sloppy and chaotic. They served orange squash instead of real juice! Bread was stale and the coffee was rank, (although you could order a latte if desired) No hot tray (bacon eggs etc) on the Sunday, not sure if this was a local custom or they just couldn't be bothered. I booked late and was glad just to get a room in time but this place looked tired and the staff disinterested.
Review 9:Location is handy although the parking is chaotic.
Review 10:Great location!
Review 11:Poor wifi reception in our rooms.
Review 12:Lovely outdoor bar but it was too cold to enjoy it!
Review 13:I did not like the dust on top of the canopy bed
Review 14:the proximity to the city center
Review 15:Beautiful room and fun atmosphere
Review 16:The restaurant is terrific, and the rooms are movie-set gorgeous.
Review 17:With very hot weather air conditioning did not work and there was not a fan made available.
Review 18:Location, staff, friendliness, lovely atmosphere.
Review 19:Location, Excellent; Restaurant, very good & good Wifi.
Review 20:Our friends internet did not work in their room- ours did!
Review 21:Airy room and good breakfast
Review 22:The people were very gentle and the service was very good.
Review 23:A very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Review 24:Staff did not speak much English Did not orient or inform about freebreakfast Food over priced Did not coordinate well with study abroadprgm with info on logistics Parking unavailable No formal businessoffice with easy computer access
Review 25:Proximity to village amenities Quiet rooms Rustic interior
Review 26:1) Dont waste your time at breakfast. The food is terrible and so is the service. Just ignore the fact it is included in your price, and consider that your hotel location is great, so just go out and enjoy breakfast (prosciutto or marmellatta croissant and cafe doppio) nearby. Definitely worth it.2) porter slept in - could not get out of the front door (locked) until he woke up...eventually at 0730. dumb, but maybe this was a one-off I hope.
Review 27:Location, location, location. Good check in process, swift and friendly, and the Room is compact but right for price, bed is comfortable, and allis clean. Also good remarks for wine lounge which was comfie and drinkswerre very reasonable.
Review 28:every small noise outside you can listen in your room like is closer to you. imagine if there are unpolite guests that screams , talk loud etc all the night and noone control that how you can sleep....
Review 29:The position and the general look of the hotel
Review 30:Breakfast was very poor and we are sure that we were given a standardroom even though we booked and paid for a superior. Shower heads shouldbe replaced, they are very old therefore they don't work at all well. The picture of the room which we booked looked nothing like it.
Review 31:It was in the old town, room was clean.
Review 32:We did not have a car and the location was very central, close to all the sights and good restaurants. It is clean, comfortable and modern. The hotel is run by a father and his two very capable sons with helpful staff. English is spoken. The restaurant is very good but a little on the slow side when busy. Be sure to try the antipasti, Trilogy of Tartufo nero. We enjoyed out 3 nights stay there. Excellent value.
Review 33:Relative simple breakfast, served in the basement without windows, room (not standard!!) rather dark, leadership (behind the desk) rather uninterested, greets only, if you are greeting first (the men, exception: a very friendly younger lady)
Review 34:central situated
Review 35:The Hotel Clitunno is one of the few hotels in the upper town in Spoleto. It is a nice hotel and the staff was efficient and helpful. Unfortunately our stay was towards the end of Itay's recent cold snap and the hotel's heating system was unable to keep up with the demand and our room never got above 64* F (17*C). There was adequate blankets and the bed was comfortable. It could be a little difficult to find without precise directions so I reccomend calling the day of arrival because there are several one-way streets in Spoleto to make navigating difficult. The breakfast was good.
Review 36:parking is awful
Review 37:location
Review 38:Not one complaint, everything excellent
Review 39:Very accommodating staff and very helpful
Review 40:Terrific staff---very helpful, friendly. Great location.Excellent value.
