Review 1：Travelling in mid-November, I was one out of two or three guests in a big, empty and dark building, that seems to be mainly used for spiritual/religious conferences. There was no place to eat near by, so I had to walk on a dark street to the next village to get a simple pizza. According to the receptionist it was not possible to call a taxi, so you are quite isolated and stuck if you do not have a car. Maybe this hotel is better during the season, but with these circumstances I did not feel comfortable and cannot recommend it.
Review 2：The publicity doesn't tell the whole story. This is a quiet religious and spiritual retreat rather than a hotel. Which is OK if that's what you want. Rooms are simple, with no TV (but they are equipped with a bible!). There is also no restaurant and no bar. It's not really a hotel - the Booking.com entry should be more honest about this.

Review 4：The rooms are stuffy in the summer and the beds/pillows aren't very comfortable. It would be great if there were screens on the window and a fan in the room.
Review 5：It's the most reasonably priced hotel in the area and very close to Lago Maggiore. If you want to travel around Northern Italy, this is a great home-base. The grounds are beautiful and perfect if you want to spend time in the mornings or afternoons enjoying a cappuccino outside.
