Reviews for Hotel Centrale

Review 1:L'Aquila old town where this hotel is located is currently a huge building site. It is only now that they have started rebuilding after the earthquake in 2009. The whole of the medieval walled town is pretty much desolate with only 1 or 2 buildings being used. It's supposed to be a 4 star hotel but is more equivalent to 2/3 stars in my experience.

Review 2:Not a lot really

Review 3:Location: difficult to judge. The hotel is straight into the heart of the city center, though the city is still empty and commercial activities still closed due to the earthquake the city suffered some years ago. The hotel is therefore pretty isolated from life. Breakfast was a bit poor. Only some cereals, croissant and cheap snacks. rooms are poorly decorated. WiFi is present but only in the lobby, not at the restaurant, bar and rooms, where internet is available through cable. Overpriced for the overall service

Review 4:- welcoming staff - good food

Review 5:Since the town was devastated by an earthquake in 2009 the area where the hotel is located can not be accessed by vehicles. One must walk 1/4 mile or more from parking areas into the hotel.

Review 6:Restaurant was great.

Review 7:Unable to get out of hotel early morning when we needed to meet other people. Had to ring chef to let us out which made us late for our meeting. Breakfast was at 7.00 am which was too late for us as our meetings in the mornings were before this so we had to leave at 6.30 am and did not get breakfast. Staff unable to understand or speak much English which added to the confusion.

Review 8:Cleanliness and comfort

Review 9:Bar with loud live music until 2am, impossible to sleep "Breakfast" is a joke

Review 10:Kind of cheap, definitely not 4 stars as they claim.

Review 11:I was really clean, ample bathroom.
