Reviews for B&B Le Camelie
Review 1:Instructions should be in English as owners did not speak any English at all. We had no idea of early breakfast time, we came for it at 9.00 am and got the impression from host that they did not like it. Payment was in cash which should have warning by mail.
Review 2:Garden. Location Excellent furniture and room.
Review 3:It's located a little out of town, but its an easy 15-20min walk
Review 4:Wonderful welcoming people, although there was a slight language barrier. Room, balcony and facilities were excellent. Good breakfast.
Review 5:The Italian mosquitos. The small shower cubical. The typical Italian breakfast.
Review 6:We had a nice cosy room in this lovely B&B. It had a big bathroom with a small shower cubical. The car park is behind a secured gate. They serve a small Italian breakfast.
Review 7:The property was a little further outside Domodossola than I thought (we walked) but signposted which made it really easy to find.
Review 8:A beautiful property in an absolutely gorgeous location on the edge of Domodossola. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night before travelling to Locarno, but would definitely return. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast outside with a view of the mountains was superb.
Review 9:For an independent traveler like myself not driving across Italy on arrival in the town the location was known by taxis and the tourist office so during my stay I always had a link to/from town. The location is a perfect distance from town however for those who come to be out in lovely fresh air in open space surroundings. The B&B itself has a lovely large private garden to relax in and my visit was timed for spring so there was an explosion of of colors and scents. The hosts and staff were most welcoming and helpful and gracious as I do not speak Italian but all were smiles and they helped with all the questions I had. Being just a bit from town gives a quiet, relaxed ambiance.
Review 10:Close to goods-train, not indicated if you are a light sleeper.
Review 11:The house is stunning, inculding the fantastic gardent surely a pleasure to visit in the summer. The staff/owner are welcoming and provide free shuttle service.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Everything- Felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We visited family in the area , this was an ideal location for us. Fantastic breakfast, very peaceful, didn't want to leave. Rooms perfect, lovely views of the mountains.
Review 14:Everything!! My Husband stayed for a few days prior to The Family arrival. They made him more than welcome, when the rest of us arrived we were made to feel party of the family. Nothing was to much, breakfast fantastic- very helpful and accommodating, we are sure to return next year. Towels changed daily, rooms Devine, spotless. Grounds beautiful, lovely place to relax and nice Restaurant in walking distance. Great xx
Review 15:The location was terrible. The B&B was set in a lovely garden adjacent to a railroad track that ran freight trains all night long. The main road was a stones throw away. When there was a lull in the noise between trains, the truck traffic took over.
Review 16:The Owners were very nice and helpful. Best shower in Italy and very clean.
Review 17:The shower was very small and the water flow slow. Be good to have a second chair in the room, perhaps even to chairs on the little balcony. A wastepaper basket would be good.
Review 18:Lovely house, great and beautifully kept garden. Rooms tastefully furnished! Nice ITALIAN breakfast!
Review 19:We have never stayed in property that has been so well maintained. The painting of the building was beautiful and the cleanliness was excellent. Very pretty for a stop off en route to Italy from Switzerland. Lovely couple ran it - very welcoming.
Review 20:My only regret is that I only stayed for one night!
Review 21:I arrived quite late, but was accepted with the friendly staff. Although they didn't speak English, we got by just fine. The place was extremely comfortable and clean, and the balcony had a lovely mountain view. Breakfast was also very good.
Review 22:Air conditioning didn't work and it was very hot
Review 23:Beautiful characterful house in lovely gardens
Review 24:the host, and all the rest
Review 25:no credit card accepted
Review 26:B&B for a full immersion in green and nature.
Review 27:Not a word of English spoken
Review 28:Location Cleaness Tasteful Great gardens and landscape Ample parking Breakfast Very quiet
Review 29:The staff had problems speaking English. Not a great breakfast . Hard to get through the gate
Review 30:Very nice room and grounds.
Review 31:Alcune volte il ritmo di giorno per me era un po differente que degli ospiti italiani.
Review 32:Very friendly owners. Lend even the little gadget so I could recharge my computer.
Review 33:It was near the train, but it didn't really bother us at all.
Review 34:The grounds were first class. The room was spacious enough. The owners were helpful recommending a local restaurant. They had very little English.
Review 35:A bit far from the train station but with a car its not a problem.
Review 36:Staff is very nice. Place is very calm, quite even if its near to a rail line. Room is very nice and tidy. Breakfast was very good, caffee is very fine.
Review 37:It was uncomfortably hot the day we stayed at La Camelie and the rooms have no A/C. At night we had to sleep with the windows open and the B&B is only 150 Meters from a railroad track which had heavy freight traffic all night long. It was almost impossible to sleep. Additionally, the shower in our room was so tiny that it was impossible to even bend over.
Review 38:Beautiful garden, a lovely house which is perfectly cared for and delightful owners. We would return but only in cooler weather.
Review 39:Wonderful villa type house, set in beautifully maintained gardens. Really warm Piedmont welcome, special place to park my motorbike as well. Lovely owners who were attentive but not intrusive. Spotlessly clean room and facilities. Simple but adequate breakfast. I was sorry to have to leave. Loved sitting on balcony watching trains go by on nearby railway line; others may not like it as much, but rooms are double glazed with airconditioning so not a problem!
Review 40:Shower was quite small. Distant from town, but if you have a car it's fine.
Review 41:Lovely property and management. Room had great windows and view. Cute breakfast room
Review 42:Staff speak very little other than Italian, only a small amount of English and an even a smaller amount of French. We managed to get checked in and such but couldn't communicate enough to talk about places to eat or things to do.
Review 43:Spotless room and breakfast area on beautifully landscaped grounds. Staff friendly.
Review 44:Incredible gardens, very beautiful and seemed like a place that is better than 3 stars!
Review 45:Beautiful property with magnificent gardens.
Review 46:very beautiful hotel with a large garden, the master is helpful although they can not say good english
Review 47:Very friendly, friendly, flexdible and helpful owners . Beautifully clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended
