Reviews for Hotel Capitol
Review 1:I expected a little more comfort. The heating in my room wasn't working properly. The breakfast was nice, but the ladies who are preparing it need to be much quicker when serving it or the hotel needs to put a bigger amount of food when having numerous guests.
Review 2:Very clean rooms. Good location near to termini and a lot of restaurants.
Review 3:The staff is not really helpfull. Simple breakfast. No internet in the room!! We had to play internet only in lobby area.
Review 4:It is really close to termini. The room is good
Review 5:The breakfast is poor and it becomes poorer everytime i stay .
Review 6:The hotel is close to Roma Termini and near all kind of transportation . The staff is friendly and helpful .
Review 7:Slightly shabby decor and not the most salubrious of areas. Beggars on the streets though they were not so much of a problem as the incessant pedlars. I do not need a selfie stick or an umbrella! Also when you are sitting at a restaurant a stream of "musicians" come along to serenade you and expect a tip.
Review 8:Conveniently placed for Rome Termini train/bus/metro station and all the sights in the centre of Rome. Loads of shops and cafes/restaurants. Staff were great and a continental breakfast was available, providing a reasonable selection: cereals, hot and cold drinks, yoghurt, cheese, meat, sweet cakes/pastries.
Review 9:Not so many varities in the breakfast, but it wast a big deal for us..
Review 10:- Great super friendly and helpful staff of the reception.. Specially Saif-Eldine ! - Great value of money - Great location , 3 min away from termini station by walk - loved the view of the room on the street - close from various bus stations and hop on/off bus stop - 20 min walk to the colloseum - would definitely refer it to friends and who ever is looking forward to stay in Rome.. - good restaurants around - supermarkets infront of it
Review 11:Sorry to say but the breakfast was a little too little. I really missed some fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Good coffee though.
Review 12:The friendly staff, fresh towels everyday, access to free WiFi in our room and of course the location. Our room had three separate beds, one quite big wardrobe and private bathroom and not much space over so you get what you pay for, but then again you are not visiting Rome to stay inside your hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 13:Nothing, everything is good
Review 14:Excellent breakfast, perfect location (3 mins walk to Rome Termini) very comfy and worth itz easy to find the hotel (with label)
Review 15:Very small room. The towels provided were not sufficient, they were more like table-cloth material. The walls were very thin so you could hear other people but thankfully wasn't too noisy when I was there.
Review 16:Good location, minutes from the Termini train station and Metro. A good base for exploring Rome. Close to some good restaurants. Reasonably priced but didn't try the breakfast as I left the hotel too early. Comfortable bed. Excellent air-con which was needed! Free wifi.
Review 17:I loved the hotel. My only suggestions to the owners are to provide better shower towles and to develop the back patio/yard into a sitting area.
Review 18:Great location. Very clean. Nice room. Typical Italian breakfast of cakes croissants coffee and yoghurt.decent bathrooms.
Review 19:The bed was not comfortable The bathroom is too narrow To much noise outside(Trains..etc)
Review 20:The Location is very close to Termini statin The Staff is very helpful and lovely
Review 21:Noisy environment/street. No fruit on the breakfast buffet. Wifi limited to lobby & public area.
Review 22:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean. Big rooms.
Review 23:Unfortunately, wifi is only available at the lobby. So if you want to use it you need to go down from your room instead of surfing the internet while you are at rest. Please improve on your wifi. I suggest to improve also on breakfast being served. But still i am recommending the hotel because its accesibility makes it comfy.
Review 24:I like th location of the hotel because it is very convenient from roma termini and bus which i think advantage for any travellers. They will not have hard time to find the hotel and the metro and buses are accesible going to tourist attractions. The hote is nearby to a lot of food resto.
Review 25:Pretty expensive (98 euros per night incl breakfast), but all the hotels in the area are pretty much the same. The area is a bit strange at night because of the variety of the foreigners.
Review 26:Good locstion if you travel early by plane. Just outside the central station and the metro and bus termini. About 15 minutes walking to the historical centre.
Review 27:The slowness of the wifi was difficult for me as I was writing a travel blog.
Review 28:I was very happy with our accommodations at The Capitol. The room was comfortable after the large bed was separated into two for my adult son and me. The room and prívate bathroom were very clean!
Review 29:There are an awful lot of poor and destitute people around and thelocation does feel a little bit seedy
Review 30:Well located next to transport hubs including both train and coaches tothe airports. Only four euro's by coach to either airport on cleancomfortable airport coaches
Review 31:1. Breakfast not good. 2. WIFI was pretty bad. 3. Power went out at the hotel for a few hours.
Review 32:Close to the train station Roma Termini. Room was comfortable and clean.
Review 33:Tiny rooms...smoke burns in bed covers...outdated dirty decor.....broken showerhead with very little water coming out.
Review 34:Location right in the centre of Rome across from the train station so great for sightseeing. Staff very friendly and helpful. As long as you are out most of the day.
Review 35:There was no hot water for bathing , for both the days that I stayed. Breakfast was just bread and butter. No eggs or no fresh fruits
Review 36:Very near Rome Termini station
Review 37:Only downfall is our room was on the first floor and in front so could hear all the noise coming from the street
Review 38:Great location and easy access to termini station and walking distance to all the historic sites.Good selection of continental breakfast. Friendly reception staff and clean hotel. Good value for money for a 2 star hotel was well impressed.
Review 39:We booked a triple room with air conditioning, the third bed wasn'tmade and the linen closet was locked, so we had to share a double bed inthree. The room was filthy, no one swept under the bed in months andfloors were super dirty throughout the room. Bathroom was clean butshower head was choked with limescale. Aircondioning was not working. The owner was not at all apologetic when we mentioned the cleaning andthe lack of sheets in the morning. Breakfast, which was included, wasquite poor. This hotel should be dropped from booking.com
Review 40:Nothing good to say. The receptionist was kind and tried to be helpfulbut could not provide what was needed. It was quiet.
Review 41:No wifi connection in the rooms. No english tv channels or subtitles. No drinking water for free and no fridge in the room that we had.
Review 42:Elevator was very helpful. Airconditioned room without an extra charge. Good breakfast; really liked the coffee vending machine for free during breakfast hours The location is excellent! Helpful and polite staff.

Review 89:all
Review 90:free wifi in lobby
Review 91:just ok for the money
Review 92:Thin walls; can be very loud; WiFi only in the lobby
Review 93:Very close to Termini; Nothing extravagant but everything was clean and tidy; friendly staff.
Review 94:No wifi in bedroom.. Noisy in lounge with everyone using wifi
Review 95:Location excellent
Review 96:no wifi in the rooms - some moist spots in the ceiling of the rooms - scratched furniture
Review 97:front office staff very welcoming and professional - beds are clean and tidy
Review 98:Shower curtain full of fungus. I ask to the recepcionist to change it. He said they will do it but they didn´t. No internet in the rooms, however I slept in the one above reception, thus I got some poor signal. Bad breadkfast.
Review 99:Location, however it feels unsafe around central station, thus I would try to avoid it for next time.
Review 100:Outdated room design. Pretty creepy. No internet access from the room. Internet access in the lobby has time limit. Very inconvenient dragging luggage through the stairs in order to get to the small elevator. Small shower cubicle. Disgusting breakfast served!
Review 101:The location is very close to Termini station...
Review 102:The beds were not comfortable for a hotel of this standard. Thin matresses on hard bases. Breakfast was basic but free.
Review 103:convenience to all transport and close proximately to all the historic icons of Roman buildings. Termini rail station is within 200 metres and hop on hop off bus starting point is only 100 metres from the hotel
Review 104:With serious consideration, and after interacting with several staff members, I regret to say that this is the nastiest staff I have ever dealt with in any hotel in any country. The hotel is not very nice, dingy, but the staff make no effort to help or remedy concerns. Because you just pay when you reserve, they seem to have a "take it or leave it attitude". I paid extra for a queen sized bed, but when I arrived for the first of 4 nights, I was told I needed to wait one day to move to a room with a bed other than a small single. The next day I was told there are no queen beds in the hotel. The staff agreed to eventually push two single beds together, but not to bind them with a fitted sheet or do anything to stop them from sliding apart. My room has no heat and the night time temperature was in the upper 40's. Daytime temps in the 50's. When I asked for heat I was told there was none and that I would need to make due with an extra blanket, yet to be provided. That may work at night, but it sure does not help when taking a shower in a cold bath.
Review 105:The area is convenient.
Review 106:Mould on the shower nozzle, we had to clean it out. Very moldy smell inroom. Room and corridor smelled of smoke and piss. Breakfast not worthhaving. The sheets looked worn out and not cleaned. The air conditionworked in our room but a very moldy smell came from it so we did notswitch it on. We had a room facing a busy road which quietens down whenyou close window but it got quite hot. We had 3 night stays in sixdifferent accommodations across Italy for our holiday. Hotel Capitol wasthe priciest and the most disappointing.
Review 107:Location to station termini
Review 108:No luxory but good for it's price. Excellent location: 3 minutes from Termini where you can reach the subway, the sightseeing buses, airport transfer. Friendly staff. Semmi luxus, de az arahoz kepest megfelelo. 3 percre van a palyaudvartol, ahonnan elerheto a metro, buszok, repteri csatlakozas.
Review 109:WiFi only worked in lobby. Street noise - I ignored and slept but would bother some. Elevator does not serve every level so handicapped beware.
Review 110:Very close Termini, metro and bus tours. Price good. Easy to find. Nice bathroom. Breakfast included, but only continental. Desk man very helpful.
Review 111:The elevator opens between the floors not exactly on each floor! So I had to drag my big luggage all the way from lobby to my room without any assistance from staffs there!
Review 112:the old and dirty furniture in the rooms. the elevator which stops in between the floors and oblige visitors to lift their bags up and down.
Review 113:the easy accessibility of the hotel.
Review 114:The building is on age but is acceptable.
Review 115:The room is big and tidy. Love that there is an elevator. Breakfast provided and reception staff are nice and willing to help.
Review 116:The hotel is terrible, very smelly and horrible hygiene problem, especially the toilet.there is a big moth in the room, really terrible.the breakfast nothing ,normally There is coffee machine with italian B&B,but hotel capital only have one coffee pot, really nothing to eat.
Review 117:Nothing
Review 118:Even though the hotel is right next to the busy termini station, you actually do not see the crowd in the hotel street. Hotel is in a excellent location & highly recomended for people who are first time travellers to ROME (since the termini, info points & metro station is just minutes away)
Review 119:Our room was supposed to be air-conditioned, however, the airconditioning was not working - not good in July. Would not have been aproblem if the owner and a couple of staff members would have moved usor fixed the issue. Instead, they argued with my husband stating the acshould be working ... never did they go to our room in order to verify. My in-laws were traveling with us, they had the same issue in their room- no ac. My in-laws were eventually moved to a new room. My husband andI were finally moved a day later, but to a room where the ac was againnon-functional. Ac was eventually fixed, unfortunately, the staff (otherthan one worker who was very helpful) and owner were not only rude, butargued with us as well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Breakfast was a complete joke ... Instant coffee, hard bread, roomtemperature milk - the vending machine provided better breakfast choicesthan the hotel!
Review 120:Conveniently located within walking distance of train station, restaurants, sight-seeing and Metro station.
Review 121:The wi fi is only available in the reception area. The room is small and the bathroom needs some upgrade. Breakfast is awful. The price is too expensive with all those disappointment.
Review 122:The location is decent. It is only two minutes walk from the train station (Roma Termini) so getting around Rome is easy. It is convenient to get to the airport.
Review 123:Since Rome has poorly marked streets and some of us are not accustomed to that, it would be great if part of the info given with the hotel is how to orient oneself from the station to the direction of the hotel. I recommend this for all hotels within walking distance of a transport station.
Review 124:Very near the train station.
Review 125:They blocked money, but in the conditions of the booking was the information that I should pay cash on the reception. What's more, they didn't make me a bill and only made a bill for whole amount for my friend. Despite on I paid forward for the hotel I asked 3 times about the bill, but at the end inly before departure got it with the name of my friend and not mine:(
Review 126:The location was great. Literally one block from Roma Termini. So, it's very convenient to get to and from the airport and you can take the privately run double Decker buses to tour the city or take public transit.
Review 127:Breakfast Timings were too short No flexibility for the late guests arriving for the breakfast. No Wifi in the rooms at all.
Review 128:Room atmosphere & ambience was good. Spacious rooms Balcony
Review 129:Wasnt impressed with the room. The bathroom had paint peeling from the walls and there was a hole in the shower door it was also very small. The breakfast was awful and I didnt find the breakfast room very clean
Review 130:- bathroom / toilet lid missing - breakfast / coffee undrinkable - too many stairs to carry the luggabe by ourselves
Review 131:excellent location for the purpose of this trip
Review 132:Rooms are very plain so not a place for atmosphere but great for a stop over.
Review 133:It was a minutes walk to the train station so fantastic location for travellers. Hop on hop off bus goes from the same station so getting around Rome is easy.
Review 134:Wifi is free but it is available only in the reception region
Review 135:Near the central Station, just 5-7 minutes walk. Each room has a toillet. Breakfast is ok.
