Reviews for Albergo Corona

Review 1:The hotel has a small garden with a pool and a small restaurant (8 tables). It is a nice spot for relaxing, having the pool and the lunch restaurant at the same spot. The restaurant serves really good Italian meals for lunch and dinner, to a reasonable price (10€ for starters and 15€ for main courses). The rooms are spacious and newly renovated and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Review 2:The Aircon didn't compensate for the soundproof/airtight windows. Italian plumbing/water pressure. Pleased we were only on the second floor!

Review 3:A central position between the bus station/station (walking holiday) and and the central plaza (relaxing). Spacious well equipped, clean and comfortable room.

Review 4:Paying for wifi.Breakfast was ok but ran out of food quickly & slow to replenish.

Review 5:Hotel was spotless & very comfortable. Cuisine was excellent & served around the pool. Very enjoyable. Parking was free & nearby. Breakfast was ok but ran out of food quickly & slow

Review 6:Breakfast was limited, need more choices and fresh fruit, fresh croissants (not pre-packaged)

Review 7:Swimming pool, location to historic area, mountain views out window, close to train station

Review 8:Staff not as friendly and welcoming as the rest of Italy- maybe becausewe were getting closer to Switzerland where they tend to be rather cool!Or maybe because we looked like backpackers and this hotel is quitesmart. Not really a complaint though.

Review 9:This hotel is right around the corner from the old centre of Dom so agood location. The room was quite small but had everything we neededincluding a fridge. There is a lovely garden with a swimming pool (wishI'd taken my cossie) and seating area so very nice to come back andhave a bottle of vino after a busy day (I asked for a cheapish white andit cost 25 euros). We went for a drink in a bar in the main old squareand they had a free buffet you could help yourself to. It was very goodand no limit to what you chose to eat.

Review 10:The room was a bit tired (bed covers, etc), but was very elegant and comfortable.

Review 11:Great breakfast, and very friendly staff. Great value for money.

Review 12:All the staff were professional, helpful and Rey pleasant

Review 13:Towels

Review 14:Location

Review 15:Wifi not for free and breakfast was very very minimal.

Review 16:Location, Staff

Review 17:Für WLAN wird 5 Euro verlangt, was wir für eine Nacht vor allem und im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels als zu teuer empfanden.

Review 18:Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Review 19:The room was very spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

Review 20:there is an old guy walking around not very friendly

Review 21:the location the pool and the room

Review 22:Breakfast was just okay

Review 23:Restaurant Swimming pool Dedicated staff

Review 24:the beds. So hard terrible.....

Review 25:location

Review 26:The pillows were old sofa cushions in pillow cases and were very hard and uncomfortable. Unfortunately we didn't discover the reason for this discomfort until we were leaving.

Review 27:This appears to be a family run hotel. The manager/receptionist, we think he is the son (unfortunately we didn't get his name) is excellent. Dinner in the garden room is fabulous, the old waiter is brilliant. We recommend the Chateaubriand. The pool is clean and good to use.

Review 28:Poor minibar (1 water, 1 coke). If you haven't made your choice of meal within a few minutes, the senior padrone may penalize your conduct by ignoring you for some time, so as to make his point. No worries: The haunted staff helps out and bridges.

Review 29:Everything looks rather recently refurbished/renovated, not worn out at all. Silent (well insulated windows / room doors) in spite of central location. Nice interior court with pool. Safe parking incl. lovely conversation opportunities with friendly elderly couple whose front door is at 1 yard from where you park your car. Fine and fresh bed. Restaurant: Excellent cuisine, dedicated and impeccable service. Very friendly, helpful and customer-oriented junior owner.

Review 30:Not at all what was advertised on booking.com. Asked for a twin room and got a double. Requested non smoking room and got a smoking room. No sofa in room as advertised for a superior room. When we asked about this we were moved to a room with an extra bed not a sofa. Also no sign of the advertised slippers and bathrobes.

Review 31:We were able to borrow bikes free of charge. Ample breakfast included. Close to good restaurants. Perfectly good hotel just not what was advertised on booking.com

Review 32:The check-in service was very unpolite (e.g. no welcome instead giving orders "passport!") and not respectful (throwing passports on the desk so that they were falling on the floor). Temperature in the room was very high and could not be changed (aircon was not workingand it is far too loud to sleep with an open window).

Review 33:Location next to the beautiful historical centre of the city with interesting nightlife. Rooms quite comfortable, well equipped and clean.

Review 34:Breakfast buffet limited; the smallest croissants we've ever seen, no hot food.

Review 35:An easy walk from the railway station and close to the old town. Room a fair size.

Review 36:Just great.

Review 37:Not really a city but The Hotel is within 200 hundred metres of Domodossola central market place with its old medieval buildings. Staff were SO helpful eg trying to help us find a walking route, giving us maps of the mountains etc.

Review 38:Hotel had very beautiful, spacious and clean rooms at perfect location. Male at reception (owner?) was very professional and helpful. Okay breakfast. No complains, we left very satisfied.

Review 39:Could only stay one night!

Review 40:Clean, food superb, helpful, respectful staff, location terrific only 2-3 short blocks to train station yet did not feel like a train station hotel, recently updated, excellent baths, great value for money, rooms surprisingly large. Seafood salad was sublilme.

Review 41:Our room had a shower but no bathtub. Wifi wasn't free.

Review 42:The staff was very professional and helpful. The room decor was fresh and clean. The hotel was perfectly placed for the train station and the old town. Air-conditioning was useful when the temperature was so hot.

Review 43:I agree with other reviewers that breakfast is poor compared to the category standards.

Review 44:Staff was very friendly. The room is not huge but comfortable, clean and quite.

Review 45:Very sorry I could not stay longer.

Review 46:Old world type hotel but in very good condition. Staff particularly friendly, helpful and attentive. Food second to none. Secure car parking across the road.

Review 47:Nothing

Review 48:helpful staff

Review 49:100% clean! The place to stay in in Domodossola!

Review 50:Small room, per-device purchase of poor wifi. Parking was in a strange lot across the street.

Review 51:Breakfast was nice, and the hotel was clean.

Review 52:Great pool and wonderful food

Review 53:Breakfast: the bread was nothing special. Coffee: so,so.

Review 54:The people behind the desk were very friendly.

Review 55:Wifi was not for free

Review 56:Close to center, nice breakfast, family run place.

Review 57:Room a little small, but only me for one night, so not much of a problem.

Review 58:Very friendly staff. Only 5 minutes walk from the railway station.
