Review 3：It's always difficult creating a hotel from an old building. It is a bit of a maze of rooms and we couldn't work out how to walk to the ground floor in case of fire, so potentially a safety issue. Our room only had a bath, not a shower. It was huge, which was great, however it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for a while!

Mickaele was anticipating our every need + gave us a tour of the magnificent historical house, advise of what to do & see locally as well as where to eat. They there so kind to us. We where also able to make the most of Turkish bath at convenient times for us. I highly recommend this hotel!

Review 17：We came to Antica Badia Ralais Hotel following a horrible hotel experience (Eremo Giubiliana). This hotel was just what the other wasn't: clean, spacious, well-situated, and staffed by professional hospitality people who enjoy what they do. We left wishing we had all of our time in the area at this Hotel. Michele and Margarita were wonderful. We look forward to returning when we are back in Sicily.

Minimalist it isn't. the Wifi never works in the rooms, although they claim it does you end up sitting in reception as the only place to get a signal. Annoying when you have to do some work.

The lighting is very dim, adding to the antique atmosphere but when the sun shone in our room it revealed a lot of dust under the bed and wardrobe!

We were there just for 1 night and were very impressed with the quality of service. The hotel was a antique house of upscale family from old times turned into a hotel. It is very charming and you can walk around the hotel and imagine how life used to be in the past in that house.

Review 58：It was more like a B&B in the sense that there was no bar open for a drink before heading out. Long walk to Ibla which was fine for us, but older people may struggle, especially on the return steps.

Review 62：The location of the Hotel was great - just 15min walk to Ibla and in thecenter of all other attractions of Ragusa, opposite to the cathedral.The Hotel it self is in one of the old palaces. The service was great,especially the receptionist Michele, who was at our disposal for anyquestions or recommendations. Also, we have forgot on little present inthe Ibla, and the Hotel made an extra step and went to the Ibla tosearch for it. We truly recommend this wonderful Hotel, and will visitagain if we come to Sicily.

Review 67：Although dinner is good, there is no atmosphere in the dining room as it seems very under-used. No free wi-fi facility in the rooms, only on the hotel PC in the lobby. We didn't mind walking up/down the 290 steps to Ragusa Ibla, but less able-bodied people might not like that. There is supposed to be a bus, but we didn't see it.

Review 71：The staff are very friendly, who recommend to us a good restaurant special for fish which is very nice. they even helped us to book the hotel in Siracusa and arranged a taxi for our tourist to Modica and Noto. My husband and I all very appreciate to them and enjoyed a very good time in Ragusa.

Review 72：Very poor breakfast, 17 different kinds of cake and 2 breads. Staff not looking after guests nor keeping display properly supplied. No sign of the much vaunted restaurant or menu`s and what passes for a bar has to be seen to be believed. Good job there were 2 decent restaurants within easy reach,which is more than can be said for Ibla,walking to it would be no easy undertaking as some 300 steps are involved and car parking there is the usual Italian nightmare. Ibla is probably the better place to stay although it looks mountainous the centre is relatively flat and has more restaurants and hotels than the main town.

We couldn't even smell the perfume on our body.The shower would suddenly get VERY hot and we would have to jump out or turn it off and start again with the mixer - room is FRESIA - please fix this!

Review 87：The old quality architecture. The new parts were not very well done,but adequate.Very well qualified staff, in particular Ignassio at reception and Paola at breakfast. Maria was very efficient. I returned 2 days later for my panama hat and they had it for me, and the receptionist at the time (I didn't get his name, with glasses) was very courteous. My husband had a full massage and exfoliation treatment and he was very happy with this. He was very dazed and relaxed after and we asked to stay a bit longer after check out time and we were told to relax and not worry. THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE SO WE REALLY DID RELAX - THANK YOU FOR THIS.

Review 88：Our room named "Magnolia" was large and the space could have been slightly better used for our tastes i.e. a better seating area and place for keeping the luggage could have set up. More practical my husband and I both felt the bed was too hard and the lack of water pressure was an issue for us. It is located about a 30 minute walk from the old city.

Rooms are spacious & very comfortable with good AC which is a must during summer time. It's a good base to visit the neighbouring towns. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.
