Review 1：Hotel La Rocca is up on the mountain, next to the Church of St. Ubaldo. The views are absolutely stunning! From there, you can take the cute cable car (funivia) down to Gubbio and back. The only disadvantage with that is that it stops running around 8pm, so if you want to have dinner in town, you probably need another way back. The hotel is family-run, and they are very nice and very helpful. It's clear that they take great pride in the hotel - everything is no neat and clean, with a beautiful breakfast setup. I should mention that, in Gubbio itself, there are loud bells in the Palazzo dei Consoli that ring every 15 minutes, all night long! They can be heard all over town. So if you're worried about getting sleep, Hotel La Rocca may be the place for you. My room was on the city side, and I could hardly hear anything. I'm sure there are even quieter rooms. And the price was very reasonable.
