Reviews for Agriturismo La Tensa
Review 1:Stunning location with a great view of the valley. We decided on the spot to explore the surrounding woods and the many typical villages instead of traveling further. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and made us you feel at home immediately.
Review 2:WiFi could be more stable.
Review 3:Great location, beautifully in the mountains. Great food in the Osteria that belongs to the Agriturismo, very friendly hosts. Great breakfast.
Review 4:We stopped here on route between Milan and Sierre. The owners were incredibly welcoming. The setting was stunning. The room was clean and very comfortable with view across the valley and a little terrace of our own. The restaurant on the property run by a different business was also excellent. The owners recommended a route for a short walk around a secluded lake the next day, which was stunning and a lovely half day trip. We would definitely come back and would thoroughly recommend anyone passing through the area to stay! The only downside was that we had to leave, we wished we could have stayed for longer than a night!
Review 5:Small spiders were all over the place (in bed, in the bathroom etc) and they stung us. Moreover, we found two scorpions underneath the fireplace. Although the venue is classified as agrotourism, we found this unacceptable.
Review 6:This place is up a remote hillside with a winding road and is a challenge to find though wirth it.my advice would be not in the dark dont rely on aat nav and ring!!
Review 7:Fantastic place fantastic food friendly staff first class accomadation.
Review 8:Stunning location, wonderful place to stay. Will definitely be back. Dinner was a beautiful meal, owners were delightful. Highly recommend to other travellers.
Review 9:The location is priceless. Relaxing and quite. Very friendly staff. Wonderful views. Unfortunately the day we were there the restaurant was closed, and haven't had the chance to try their food.
Review 10:Breakfast selection was poor, no tea/coffee maker in the room, no safe for valuables. Restaurant portions too small.
Review 11:The location and the wonderful view, amazing restaurant and staff. Room spacious, clean, comofortable. Peaceful and quiet.
Review 12:Lack of signs to find it! Restaurant is independently operated, you have to pay cash on the spot; this is not made clear on booking, if you do not have cash it is a long way to town! Breakfast is served in a different location by the room operators, rather lacking in quality and quantity.
Review 13:The location (when you find it!), the views, the rooms. Comfortable.
Review 14:missing tea in the rooms and being from Australia we love our tea!!
Review 15:The place was amazing, the staff were very very helpful and kind. We rented 2 houses as we went with my parents and our baby. The facilities were perfect, and the restaurant was one of the best meals we've had in ages....and my father is a cook! would highly recommend it.
Review 16:Wonderful place to travel with my 2 children, ages 5 and 7. The area is safe and the children were able to wander on their own. Close proximity to Domodossola and other day trips. Excellent restaurant on site for dinner. Friendly staff
Review 17:Nothing, just a little tricky getting up there. Better check Google maps first
Review 18:The Location is an awesome, hidden place. Very clean, very nice people and very, very good food. It's quiet, charming and romantic with a lovely view over the valley.
Review 19:The location was spectacular ! Well worth the drive up in our motorbike. Fabio our host was so welcoming and our room was perfect with everything we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant which was wonderful and very well priced. Service was first class. Breakfast was a marvellous feast of fruit yoghurt bread cheese and home make cakes. We will certainly try to book again in the future.

Review 37:Beautiful place - remote and peaceful. Apartments are amazing. Food in Osteria delicious and local. Staff very friendly and helpful. We loved it! Arrivederci.
Review 38:It was a bit hard to find the accommodation, but worth it. Maybe another sign at an intersection on the climb up would be helpful.
Review 39:Really love the location. We had a split level unit which suited my family just fine. The staff were excellent and really friendly.
Review 40:Booking.com's internet site about La Tensa lack's information about how to find the place. Please put co-ordinates OR/AND take the description from La Tensa own web site.
Review 41:Staff (Owners) very kind and helpfull. The whole idea about rebuild and ancient mountain village is fantastic. It's made very weel, with a good combination regards respect for the original and modern comfort! The place really has atmosphere!
Review 42:the last kilometre to get there is a bit challenging... but it is feasible
Review 43:nice spacious apartments, well maintained, great interior, calmness and nature around, good local kitchen, flexibility of the owners, gluten-free meals
Review 44:I didn't like having to leave it as we headed to Como.
Review 45:We stayed in 10 hotels during our trip and I am still talking about this one! It is up in the hills outside Milan so it is both cool and near. Breath taking location, fantastic buildings, fresh garden, wonderful people.
Review 46:Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, good kitchen (they use their own products only!). Will get back there. You can get there by car (if you travel with one), or get on foot (you need to follow the red touristic trail to Anzuno). A metered taxi should cost up to 20EUR. Beware of the taxi drivers who say "we won't use the meter - it's a mountain road and thus we charge more".
Review 47:Nothing... it was perfect.
Review 48:Fantastic location, incredible food made localy, very realistic prices. The staff is super-friendly. One of us said: "Heaven can wait" after staying there. The whole place is very relaxing and friendly. Incredible atmosphere. Already planning on returning.
Review 49:Hard to find. More detailled directions would be helpful.
Review 50:Great location above Domodossola. Simple but tastefully decorated rooms. Very quiet. Good food on wonderful terrace at very reasonable price. Friendly staff. Good starting point for hikes.
Review 51:This is just a bit of advice. Arrive when it's light out or you mayhave trouble locating it. Make sure you have a map of the area and watchfor Domo Bianca (ski area) signs and La Tensa signs once you start toclimb up out of the valley.
Review 52:Agriturismo La Tensa combines 18th century charm with 21st centurycomfort! The set up is just beautiful! The photos in the listing arevery accurate. We booked two apartments and each of them was unique indecor and design with lots of windows to capture the view. We will routefuture trips to nw Italy to include a stay at La Tensa.
Review 53:Nothing
Review 54:Staff where incredibly friendly, responsive and flexible; the restaurant has a great cook, great food and is good value for money; rooms were clean
Review 55:breakfast could be much better (more fresh, home made)
Review 56:wildlife (we saw a small dear right upon arrival), clean facilities, great dinner, very friendly and hospitable staff
Review 57:As the access road from Domodossola is sometimes steep and narrow, it is best to arrive during daylight hours.
Review 58:Cempletely rebuilt hamlet looks very authentic, but inside very recent. Rooms perfectly clean and comfortable, efficient heating, even too warm when we arrived on a cold damp naight. Staff changed, but were all very friendly and spoke french or english. Breakfast OK, dinner very good with lots of vegetables, for a reasonable price. Beautiful 180° view over Toce valley and Ossola mountains.
Review 59:Google map is not accurate - it is 350 m elevation up the mountain and20 minutes by taxi for Euro 20 (be sure you are not over-charged); thetrail time estimates are wrooong!!!! (If pushing a baby carriage downthe mountain).
Review 60:Hotel offered transportation to and from Domodossola; the chef decuisine; chef d'hotel; mini-woman with the big Jeep; stonearchitecture; Easter guests with children for the egg hunt;forest trails.
