Country House Relais Del Lago sells fast on our site. Surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, 5 miles from Lucca, Relais Del Lago is a 17th-century stone country house. Its large grounds feature a pool with jacuzzi corner.
Each room at Del Lago Relais features antique furniture, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a minibar with free soft drinks. Bathrooms come with a hairdryer and a courtesy set.
Restaurant Serendepico serves Italian cuisine along with Italian and local wines.
The whole property also has a lake for fishing and a small wood. Guests can rent bikes and visit the surrounding areas.

Review 10：Great stay at an authentic Tuscan villa. Amazing view and atmosphere at breakfast. Very helpful and friendly owners. Very conveniently located, great scenary, lots of space to run for kids, a lake for fishing, sunbathing area and swiming pool. Plenty of opportunities to explore the area and towns around, have meals outside, enjoy wine tasting and hiking and be back for a good rest watching the stars. Reasonable prices for the area. Good for couples of all ages and families. Would come back with kids.

Review 12：I really liked the "italian countryside" style of the place. The weather was bad but it felt confortable to be in front of the fire looking at art books. Nice room and there`s even a pool that looks very if you are there in summer time. Lucca is pretty close.

Review 17：We stayed in Relais del Lago for 8 nights during out honeymoon in Tuscany. We have booked the spa suite and have been very satisfied with it and the facilities of the hotel. The owners were very good hosts and have helped us find more information about the surroundings. They also serve a great quality of meals at the restaurant with a good selection of wines and have organized us lovely romantic dinners in the garden and at the lake. Thank you.

Review 48：This is a delightful family run inn located on a quiet hillside in Tuscany with and exceptional view. The setting is an old farm house that has been transformed into a cozy inviting inn. We loved it. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Many windows looked out onto the beautiful view. We could control temperature of the room. The shower was good. The refirgerator was stocked with free juice, water and snacks. The family was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of fruit, cheeses, meats, juice, pastry and of course an espresso machine. We appreciated that the inn was equiped with solar panels. We would defiintely return to this spot. This is an excellent value.

Review 49：We went for our honeymoon and it was a perfect location for us - friendly, relaxed, with excellent food and beautiful views. It's family run and everybody made us feel very welcome. The restaurant next door was also excellent. Our satnav made driving around the area and finding the local places of interest much easier, too

Review 52：The breakfast is rather lousy. The hotel could do a lot more giving guidance about their area eg. There is Wine maker 100 m. away - but we sadly didn't notice before the last day. The small osteteria up the road is worth visiting. Nice food and value for money compared to the to-expensive restaurant at the hotel. We didn't manage to order lunch at the hotel (as stated as a possibility)

Review 55：If you are looking for a relaxing holiday on the Italian countryside ina charming atmosphere, this is the place to be! It starts with a calmlybreakfast outside the hotel with fantastic views on the garden and thetypical Tuscan panorama. Senora Elisa and her gentile mother in law takecare for the good service and if needed provide you with tips to visitthe city Lucca or other tourist locations in the environment. Later youtake a jump in the swimming pool or have a walk around the lake. Duringthe evening, you can enjoy an excellent gourmet dinner in theirrestaurant where Alessandro can give you recommendations about the localItalian food and wines. The room was comfortable and clean and if youare lucky you can see in the morning the Tuscan sun shining above yourbed. Finally, we will never forget the way Elisa and Alessandro helpedus during the evening when we had a serious car problem in Lucca. Theytreated us like family and did the upmost to avoid that our holidaywould become a disaster. Italy we are back next year!

Review 57：An unusual combination of a B&B with a gourmet restaurant. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable rather than luxurious, dinner is on an all together different level both from a culinary and price perspective. Excellent local wines, just go with the owner's recommendation. We enjoyed our stay.

Review 64：The gorgeous restored farm house is owned by a most lovely couple. They were very friendly and so accommodating to us travelling with our little 4.5 month old baby. We stayed in the self-catering apartment & this was just perfect for us. We had breakfast at the establishment though & always sat outside enjoying the beautiful mornings. The gourmet restaurant that they also run is absolutely fabulous & the owner is a most gracious host. We wish now that we had eaten there every night - it would have been worth it because it was so amazing! This is a perfect base from where to explore Lucca & the surroundings by car.

Afterwards we regreted not booking more nights in Relaisdel Lago and spending less time near San Gimignano. We were travelingwith our little baby girl and the accomodation was superbe: Your ownentrance on the ground floor that goes directly out on the terrace,enough space in the appartment, daily cleaning of the lovely andfriendly cleaning lady, close distance to the pool. We could easilyclose our door, take the babyphone with us and enjoy the pool or abotlle of wine on the terrace while the baby was sleeping without havingto worry about not being able to see the entrance of our appartment ornot hearing her due to no reach with the babyphone. Ideal. The ownerswere also very nice and always happy to help you with any kind ofquestions you may have. Would definitely go back...

Review 70：Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful pool with good views. Comfortable sunloungers. It is more of a B&B than a hotel - I didn't grasp that at time of booking but it is marked as such on their own location sign. Breakfast started poorly but got better. Nice to have coffee and tea facilities available, and free, all day but the coffee is awful - a surprise in Italy. Really nice terrace on which to have breakfast and it is easy to have your own picnic lunch there - no sneaking about as you sometimes have to in proper hotels. Restaurant excellent; also a good trattoria just up the road.

Review 71：Nothing serious to say. Just a couple of details if one wants to be picky. For the price I'd expected a bathtub in the room. The coffee machine is somehow poor for the italian standard.

Review 76：We travelled through the industrial areas outside Florence and imagined the hotel next to a factory. Then we wound up into the hills and discovered this beautiful farmhouse with wide sweeping lawns, sparkling pool and beautiful traditional rooms. The owners were so helpful and, as their 5 star restaurant was fully booked, they recommended a trattoria 300 ms up the road - it was the best meal of homemade Tuscan food we have ever hard. We have a lovely walk around the Lake, a leisurely swim in the pool and wanted to stay much, much longer.

Collectively we had two accommodations: the large apartment and two person room. Both were lovely. Breakfasts were excellent and the grounds were relaxing. An excellent choice.
