Reviews for Villa Casagrande Resort e SPA
Review 1:Unhelpful staff, very poor breakfast, wifi could only be used in reception, no bar/ facilities to get a drink during the day.
Review 2:The building & grounds were beautiful
Review 3:We were there during very hot period, the air con in our deluxe room insufficient. Wine bar attached with great wine tasting but only open 2 hours per day.
Review 4:Access to a lovely outdoor pool but it was an uphill walk for 150 yards.
Review 5:Transparent glass front door without any warning sign or sticker on it!! Stairs without any non-slip stripe!! Decorative pool just beside the lift, again, with out any warning sign or non-slip stripe!! The room is very different from the photo. Witness 2 accident in 20 minutes...and very next day, nothing has been done on those facilities.
Review 6:Very nice Tuscany garden. Nice design but can be dangerous for family with kids or elders. Worst experience ever!
Review 7:Hotel staff not very friendly (that doesn't hold for the restaurant where they are very professional and friendly) Food (dinner) was a bit old fashioned
Review 8:Building is very nice with many old historic details. The swimming pool across the road was excellent.
Review 9:Staff not forthcoming in offering information. Site makes this seem more in the hills and it is very much in town. Pool outdoors distance from property and open to public
Review 10:Building is interesting and historic. City center small but nice
Review 11:Nothing!
Review 12:A stunning hotel. We particularly liked the use of modern architecture within the very old structure of the building. The rooms are very well appointed and the courtyard dining area was magical. The gardens were a haven from the busy outside and lovely place to meditate. Highly recommended.
Review 13:Poor breakfast buffet
Review 14:No bar!
Review 15:Magnificent building with wonderful grounds
Review 16:There was nowhere to purchase coffee or drinks apart breakfast The pool was across the road up a steep hill.
Review 17:Very clean and comfortable
Review 18:Very expensive and the room was very cold.
Review 19:Location and hotel was very clean
Review 20:Wi Fi unstable
Review 21:Is convenient and within short distance to the town where you can enjoy nice food and good wine as is located at wine region.
Review 22:The breakfast was disappointing
Review 23:The self-service buffet breakfast at €12 was overpriced for what was on offer with no hot option - except for some warm-ish hard boiled eggs. The coffee (machine) was very poor quality, like a vending machine. Cold milk was UHT. Staff largely absent. As this was a preview of what could come later we did not risk having dinner at the same venue.
Review 24:Location convenient for parking , walking to the centre square and 'Vinoteca', a great wine bar / eatery almost next door. Interior decor was hilarious mix of authentic historic and moderne kitsch tat mixed and matched with a shameless arrogance providing a kind of relentless visual schizophrenia.
Review 25:A little trouble catering for vegetarians in the restaurant, but it is understandable.
Review 26:The medieval atmosphere and theme of Tuscany and the rambling hallways with artefacts gave a great feeling. Staff were always very ready to help. Restaurant was in keeping with the Tuscan days.
Review 27:Room was two lift rides from reception in what is a rambling property, which might annoy some.
Review 28:My expectations were running low after I came off the autoroute and into the rather lacklustre town of Figline Valdano. But the hotel itself turned out to be delightful. I only stayed for one night, but I found it full of character, staff were friendly and facilities very good. The refurbishment has blended a fine Tuscan villa with good modern design. I was surprised that it only has a three-star rating. The room was small, but more than adequate, with a high-quality bathroom, and nicely lit. I didn't eat supper there but the restaurant, where breakfast is also served, is in a fine courtyard and one of the highlights Good value and far far better for an overnight stop than a chain hotel.
Review 29:City is small and not worth spending time in. Superior room was small and not worth the extra cost.
Review 30:Nice to stay at an old monestry. Nicely renovated buildings. Easy to get to Firenze by train.
Review 31:There wasn't enough room at the spa the second night and i was paying all that money to stay there for the spa i felt like the secondday i stayed there wasn't worth it.
Review 32:The spa was the best part i wish it was open earlier though. Also the breakfast was very good! Also the woman who works at the breakfast is so nice!
Review 33:Wifi did not reach to all the rooms, slow in supplementing breakfast buffet when anything was missing
Review 34:Fresh food at breakfast, very nice garden & facilities, easy acces to firenze
Review 35:Location and swimming pool I did feel nothing of the traditional Italianhospitality... Service was okay and correct but I didn't feelparticularly welcome or valued.
Review 36:Room cleanliness, comfortable bed, correct billing beautiful building
Review 37:Location - it was in the middle of no where. Figline is an industrial town, no vineyards or olive groves nearby. Hotel staff was courteous but did not offer any information to tourists - we did not even realise they had such good facilities until we took a stroll round the hotel. Breakfast was very disappointing - bad coffee, fruit from the can (no fresh fruit) - nothing rustic and natural which can usually be expected from a countryside hotel.
Review 38:Hotel was set in a very rustic farmhouse, very interesting but had added modern facilities - spa, swimming pools, nice gardens. Wonderful food for dinner at both the restaurants. The restaurant Acqua at the top of the hill offered stunning views besides serving great lobster pasta and wines!
Review 39:The restaurant has a different management = different quality, e.g. table clothes are dirty. The hotel could be much nicer with a little bit more careful service.
Review 40:Athmosphere is nice, the room was nice, big enough and peaceful. Location is good for visiting the Chianti region.
Review 41:Nothing really, except they could not find our reservation (did notreflect on price/room) and read emails not often - could not find ourrequest for cooking class reservation.
Review 42:Good place if you plan to travel to other places around region.
Review 43:Address on the booking website lead me to the other side of the hotel
Review 44:Very good location, good service, nice breakfast in the big hall ofthe castle.
Review 45:Amazing Place with good art work. It will give you the feeling of living in a medieval time Palace with all the new technologies
Review 46:Great location. Just a short walk to the center of town. Stop by the restaurant on site for a wonderful dinner. Juliana cooks the best food!!!
Review 47:fabulous hotel style! great food! I will come back again. my dad find a live spider in bathtube. it is not a big deal.
Review 48:Beautiful location and very good value for money. Excellent food in restaurant and very friendly staff
Review 49:An amazing villa in the heart of the city..
Review 50:It's so hard to take luggages here and there。 and could not get wifiin my room
Review 51:Castle,traditional,delicious
Review 52:nothing
Review 53:very serene and unchanged by time
Review 54:Fantastic stay! Impressin 1th century building with amazing garden. Superb rooms and location of hotel.
