Reviews for Florenza Residence

Review 1:In short: we really enjoyed our stay in Sperlonga and Florenza Residence, the good hotel amplified wonderful emotions! 1) the great location near the historical center of Sperlonga. I never forget those mysterious, narrow streets on the solid rock! 2) The hotel is near the sea, it has a private beach (comes in handy, really) and wonderful sea view from apartments. 3) The hotel is near Piazza Fontana, one of the main squares in Sperlonga. We enjoyed a cool firework and a music festival virtually near the staircase of our apartments. 4) The apartments is clean and a cleaning performed every day. 5) The owner senior Luigi is amazingly friendly, he provided all information we needed, about shops, restaurants, neighborhoods. I'm personally glad that WiFi was available on the reception only, because there you can have a talk with very interesting, polite and friendly people about Sperlonga and Italy:) 6) The hotel service in general was excellent, the staff is helpful and friendly. 7) The booking price looked a bit high for me initially. But senior Luigi proposed to change a booked "Studio with a balcony" to a two-rooms apartments with a terrace, a balcony and an isolated kitchen for the same price. It was a good surprise because we didn't ask him) So eventually the ratio "comfort/money" looks very attractive for me.

Review 2:Amazing location, great views, super clean, lovely decor, comfortable beds, great cooking facilities. The staff were outstanding and kind, too. They deserve the word excellent!

Review 3:Well, you cannot avoid a few stairs to get to the venue and even to the room. But, since climbing stairs are one of the pecularities of Sperlonga, whose houses were boldly built over the centuries along the steep walls of a huge rock in front of the Tower Truglia, that happens to be a good exercise to which you get used in a couple of days.

Review 4:One of the most beautiful panoramas of the coast. Clean rooms and very gentle and efficient staff. Charming and full of surprises like Positano (for the several boutiques along the streets climbing among the white walls of its old houses between which sudden belvederes offer amazing views, but also with beautiful beaches and a rocky untouched coast to explore by renting a boat.

Review 5:aircon wasn't really strong in the room (compare to the kitchen) and was quite loud so had a few sleepless nights

Review 6:the view and location were amazing. the staff very helpfull and friendly.

Review 7:The bedroom was too small and too low, I hit my head while getting into bed. The mattress was not good either. No wifi in the apartment, TV was too old and we couldn't see a final of our favor team there. The baranda from the loft room is too lose and need to be repair!!!

Review 8:Location and view excellent!!

Review 9:Very few Americans visit this gorgeous place which is dripping in bougainvillea and has exquisite views of the sea. The town is something out of a film and not for the fat or infirm ( a lot of walking up stairs) . It was my dream of pre-war Italy with all of the modern conveniences. The staff are saints.

Review 10:Nothing

Review 11:The staff were fabulous and made me feel welcome immediately, the location was excellent - in the centre of the old town and new town and close to beaches, the residence has access to a private beach at no extra cost and the accommodation is clean and comfortable with a kitchenette if you feel like staying in. Definitely a place to return to.

Review 12:Everything! Amazing view, the owner was super friendly and nice, and accommodating. Location was in a little tiny tucked away alley on the hill. Loved this place.

Review 13:Cramped bed space.small balcony with no room for outside dining.Expensive and not good value for money as compared to other experiences

Review 14:Location good.Staff helpful.Appartment clean and daily clean was good.

Review 15:very nice staff! comfortable place at a great location - sea view pays off!

Review 16:Could have used some paper towels for kitchen and perhaps basics like salt and pepper. Did not have wine glasses.

Review 17:The view was wonderful.

Review 18:Location and view

Review 19:Excellent all round

Review 20:they say on their billboard that all rooms have a balcony with a view, but we did not get a balcony or a view

Review 21:Location is great

Review 22:Beautiful village, excellent location and incredible landscape. Very romantic atmosphere even for married couples with older kids

Review 23:You had to clean the apartment at the end of your stay, which is pain.

Review 24:Location

Review 25:Beautiful view. Old worid feel with a friendly staff.worth the walk up and it is a walk!

Review 26:Balcony view and private beach Plus easy access to old town

Review 27:Charming place, terrace and sea view. Close to beach and part of old town centre.

Review 28:It was hard to find the place because taxis cannot reach it. We went by bus, however, and the streets are tiny and confusing to walk through. We made it asking local shop owners though. There were also no sheets in the room for the sofa beds.

Review 29:The view was fantastic. The beach is very close. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was small but all you need.

Review 30:Sperlonga is a beautiful place but if the weather changes unexpectedly a car rental service would be beneficial to visit other places. We were delighted to be able to travel public transport throughout Roma - Napoli region so the option of short term car rental would be beneficial.

Review 31:Charming ,authentic historical village atmosphere. Obvious effort by all the community to maintain the charm of the surroundings. Florenza served us well. It should be noted that the location is not good for mobility challenged guests as there are many steps to climb!

Review 32:I liked everything! Breathtaking view from the terrace, lovely people who works on the hotel and the private beach, nice decorated apartments with all needed kitchen stuff. And Luigi, thank you for a bottle of champagne at arrival. It was really beautifull gesture that made us feel welcome guests. The sea is warm and clean. WiFi on reception was enough for us (we was going to relax and not work). And of course the main advantage of Florenza Residence is its location. It's a part of old town but it's close to modern part with shops, restaurants. And stairs! I loved them! Guys, it's a kind of gym, really! Be optimistic and you return back well-shaped, sunburnt and rested. Try to feel medieval Italy, without TV/Internet-addiction! The noise of the sea, sunsets, stairs, food, people, flowers on the stone, a glass of vine on terrace, tiled roofs. Highly recommend but not for "couch potatos" J!

Review 33:Lovely apartment, clean and with a beautiful view over the bay. Staff is friendly and helpful. The residence is three minutes from the beach and sun chairs and umbrella are provided. The place has character.

Review 34:In appartments - no internet, no flat TV, no washer machine, poor electricity sockets.

Review 35:In appartments - air conditioning, kitchen stuff, view from window. Good cleaning and service. Very good and pleasure staff. Speak English very well.

Review 36:Uncomfortable beds (very thin mattresses); very steep incline to get from beach to apartment; no frills whatsoever (no breakfast, no wifi, no flat screen tv, no toiletries in bathroom, no essentials in kitchen); old and poor quality furnishings. Certainly not worth the price during high season.

Review 37:The location is good with wonderful scenic views over Sperlonga's north beach, and within the picturesque old town.

Review 38:- Wherever you go, (to the beach, to the old town, or back to the hotel) you have to climb a lot of stairs. Stairs, stairs, stairs everywhere...- Although location is great, price is quite high for what you get - No breakfast included - Parking is far away and requires extra 10 euro charge - Very noisy at night, especially in the weekends

Review 39:- Excellent position, midway between the beach and the upper old town.- Beautiful view from terraces - Beach access included in room charge

Review 40:Medieval house, in very good condition, flowers all around, Location inthe old town, close to the beach, fantastic view from the window, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 41:Beds were somewhat hard and also creaked when one moved during the night. There was no hot water during one day of our stay.

Review 42:Friendly, helpful staff, lovely balcony in the apartment facing the sea with fantastic sunset views, access to a larger terrace with your own appointed area, comfortably furnished apartment and well appointed kitchen with all the amenities needed for self-catering (although there are also plenty of nice and reasonably priced restaurants within a few minutes' walk). Access to the hotel's private beach with comfy beach beds and umbrellas is included in the price.

Review 43:A very clean and beautiful resort, easily accessible by train and bus. The Florenza Residence apartment is in the heart of the old town, a short walk from the restaurants and beaches - it has stunning views and all the facilities to self cater if desired. Highly recommended.

Review 44:I loved the location! Wonderful views along the coast and up to the mountains! Had a glass of wine on the balcony and felt in a real holiday mood! Terrific place and the room is well constructed so that you can cook a simple meal and enjoy the view. A kind of rustic place suited to people with simple pleasures! My friends loved the pics.

Review 45:Only Italian TV channels, Saturday night much loudness spreading from the street.

Review 46:Historic city, close to beach, helpful personal.

Review 47:Nothing to dislike.

Review 48:Nice clean apartment. Great views.

Review 49:Wi-Fi only at the recepcion. Old spring mattress in the rooms.

Review 50:The hotel is in the old city with amazing sea view.

Review 51:the apartment was very nice and clean, all windows overlooked the sea.
