Reviews for Hotel Claudiani

Review 1:Macerata is a lovely small town: here the historical part is secluded by a wall belt with beautiful buildings, squares and monuments everywhere. There is an ancient university and administration offices. In early August the town looked quiet and silent despite the Opera Festival, which has been magnificent. Unfortunately the hotel Claudiani, the only one rated four stars hotel in the whole town, looks very shabby and not well managed. The whole building is in need of urgent refurbishment as well as the staff needs training and better hotel experience. Arrival by car is a bit difficult because the hotel is located in a very narrow road and garage cannot be recommended already for medium size cars. The check in and check out were easy but with lack of information and courtesy, really just essential. At check out was poorly raining outside and when we requested to borrow an umbrella the sad receptionist told us they had no one. We had not help for luggage on arrival and on departure. Lift was efficient and silent but with a lot of scratches on leather interior decor. Our bedroom was small and with no view at all on both sides and please consider that we booked eight months in advance for five nights. Bathroom dates back to the '60 and was dark and not well cleaned with very poor linen and amenities. Our shower nozzle could not stand up because was broken or outdated, we complained at reception desk but they did not repair during all our stay. Airco was effective but too noisy. The real disappointment was breakfast where the offer is just minimal and service one of the worst you can imagine. Every morning we had to look by ourselves to find tea bags of English breakfast tea somewhere because the waitress or a young waiter never provided. Despite the hotel has many international guestseven the request of a boiled egg seems incredible to the staff, they simply do not provide neither at an extra cost. We have listened so many negative comments about.

Review 2:Outdated furniture/fixtures (we couldn't plug in electric devices), underpowered air conditioner, mediocre breakfast, crummy toiletries.

Review 3:Helpful staff; central location; well sized room

Review 4:I slept badly because the pillow was too flat. I didn't ask for anything better so , I can only fault myself for the bad night. However, it would be generally good to have a pillow in reserve in the room of a different constitution than the one on the bed.

Review 5:The staff was very nice and very helpful. They did their jobs effectively and with a smile on their faces.

Review 6:Dated feeling . facilities felt non updates since the 70s however that seemed to be the theme of the whole area

Review 18:I liked everything about the hotel. The staff were very helpful and recommended some very good restaurants in Macerata. I would stay here again when visiting Macerats.

Review 19:The room was a bit shabby and in need of new bedding and decoration. The air conditioning was feeble. Fortunately the temperature was a lot lower in Macerata than it had been when we were in Verona a week earlier. Otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast was deeply uninspiring.

Review 20:We went to Macerata for the opera festival. We liked the fact that the hotel is in the old walled part of the city and close to a lot of good restaurants. We had a very nice view overlooking the XIV century Casa Domizi Vico.

Review 21:Breakfast limited, one light bulb broken, two faucets dripping, lift in bad shape: obviously, the owner or manager does not have an eye for detail.

Review 22:The hotel is OK, but could be a lot better.

Review 23:The room had a great view, the staff is friendly, the structure is located in the centre of the city
