Reviews for Residenza di Rocca Romana
Review 1:Big problems with GSM network! In our room there was also no WiFi connection so please ask about it when you book or choose your room. Very, very basic breakfast.
Review 2:Very friendly owner, simple but clean rooms, nice atmosphere.
Review 3:Place was vast with only us in it: but nice location but out of town.they cooked us a meal, with set menu. ... it was simply outstanding! !! No other words and €25 each .
Review 4:Perhaps for long stayings I would recommend the staff to roughly clean the cottages at least once and provide new towels. They kindly did it, anyway upon our request.
Review 5:We were upgraded to a cottage at the same price for a double room that we actually booked and the owners welcomed us on the day of the check-in even if we arrived later than the official time.
Review 6:We arrived late with our bikes. It was Monday and then the restaurant is closed. They call the cook and he came special for us and has an excellent 4 course dinner made for us. We have delicious eaten for a tidy price.Excellent service !!!!
Review 7:Redidenzia Rocca Romana is probably the most idyllic place you will find. Perfect for romantic getaways, wedding and family holidays, it is the perfect place to accommodate all of your needs.Located a 15 minute drive from the nearest village of Treviano, it is not far from the station of Cesano either. Arriving at the Cesano station from the airport or Rome is stress-free as there is a lift available to the hotel, if you prearrange. This is also available for getting into Treviano, although I recommend the 45minute walk through the regional park down to the lake front. The hotel itself has the main building, a gorgeous grey stone house, built by hand 10 years ago. The rooms are both quaint and accommodating. The views over the surrounding hills, incredible. The rooms are perfect for couples or families and the beds... Well, the best sleep I've had in months. The pool is both spacious and safe. The water not overridden by the smell of chlorine, but rather the smell of the trees surrounding it.However, this place can be defined by three things. Firstly, the food. The breakfasts are filling and fresh, with the options varied and rich. Each evening, for the small sum of €25 each, you are served a 4-course meal, including wine and water. (a very good deal, considering the prices in town) The starter is usually light, the first course, a pasta, the second, a traditional italian regional dish, and the deserts, sweet. Both my partner and I agree that this is the best food we have ever eaten, incredibly filling and that you go to bed with the happy contented feeling of being both warmed and full, if a little giggly from the wine. The second defining feature is the location. Lago di Bracciano and its accompanying rich, forested hills, are arguably the eden on earth. Watching the sun set over the lake is like watching your red food dye dropped in water, the colour spreads across the sky, shadowing the hills and forestry, turning the lake the most glorious shade of gold.
Review 8:no bar service the whole time we were there (a quiet time for them maybe? End of June?) but we were told where the beer fridge was so we could help ourselves so not that bad. Staff hard to find at most times. I think there was a wedding going on that demanded their attendance so didn't like to presume otherwise. The long winding country lane can be a little precarious for some, I thought fun personally, and a means to get to such a secluded place.
Review 9:Very large pool, stunning location surrounded by countryside, Abundant wildlife (including wild boar...!). Seclusion and escape from hustle and bustle. Very peaceful. Loved the 2 dogs that arrived that week and adopted us.
Review 10:Bit of maintenance required on pool tiles. No information on surrounding area/what to do etc
Review 11:Lovely setting.
