Review 1：The staff were friendly enough, but I don't think they were really used to or wanting non-Italian guests (not really bothered about explaining how the hotel ran or making sure we were okay). The rooms were poor and poorly equipped, there wasn't really a functioning restaurant so you had to eat out for lunch and dinner. This is really a 3 star hotel, not 4 - but the location and outside facilities are great (which is what we went off).

Review 7：All great but the lack of comfort of the bed and pillows ruined the stay as we woke up with the worst back and neck aches. They need to invest in proper comfortable mattresses and pillows and then it would have been great. The only other issue was that a female either manager or owner of the hotel screamed at a staff member in front of us - very unprofessional.

Review 8：Although the hotel looks modern and well-maintained the rooms are a bit tired. In particular the shower cubicle in our bathroom was tiny and very difficult to use effectively.

Review 9：Sperlonga is a beautiful seaside resort far enough from the airports not to attract the foreign package trade. La Playa is well-located on the seafront with outdoor pool and private beach with facilities included. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good access to the old town.

Review 14：Very friendly and helpful staff, great pool for our kids (2&6) with a large shallow end, and fantastic beach, only a short walk from the charming town of Sperlonga and a stone's throw from a supermarket, shops and kiosk for postcards and bus tickets. Off-season visit in the first week of June meant there were some people around but never crowded, and the temperature did not get too high at noon, but the sea had warmed up enough for a refreshing swim. The local bus to and from Fondi train station worked a charm, and was well timed with both incoming and outbound trains to Rome.

Review 18：If I should pick something that was not really that good I would say that the beds were a bit too hard, as they usually are in the south of Europe. One other thing is that the balconies are quite small.

Review 19：When we searched for a hotel in Sperlonga this was the one that we liked the best and it also met our expectations. It is one of few hotels in Sperlonga that is located right on the beach and also has a swimming pool. It is also close to the old town of Sperlonga. You have a great view of the old town from the beach outside the hotel and not many minutes to walk there. The beach is very nice and the sunbeds are included in the price. It is possible to get a room with a nice seaview. The hotel is tidy and well kept. A really nice place to stay.

Review 21：The location of the hotel is excellent and access to the pool area and beach is easy, outside is kept well maintained. The inside and our room were clean but tired, typical of many coastal hotels. Parking and WiFi included.

Review 22：The staff didn't speak very much English. If you don't speak Italian, beware. We had a lot of confusion with the beach bed system before someone could explain it. All the signs are in Italan. The staff was not overly friendly, but that could just be discomfort with having to speak English. The ones answering the e-mails were great, so we e-mailed instead of going to the front desk. Problem solved!

Review 23：The beach was amazing. The hotel was perfecty located. The breakfast was good for being Italy. Close to Rome, so we stayed here after a weekend in Rome. Easy to take the train and bus, but the hotel also offers shuttle services. Again, love love love the beach!

Hotel wanted 30 euros per day fortwo friends to sit on the two sunbeds we already have paid for as partof the accomondation. And 50 euros per day if the friends wanted theirown two sun beds! We also witnessed managers being extremely rude to thestaff, like when a manager polished his glasses in the t-shirt of anemployee and send him off. We wanted to extends our days, but chose adifferent hotel after the poor service and high prices.

Review 59：Cramped bathroom, shower "compact", to say the least. Noisy - could hear people above - could even count how many coins they dropped on the floor - there seemed to be poor sound insulation. Very little information about the facilities, no attempt to entice us into restaurant - not even a menu displayed. Room was advertised with Sky TV, but it seems you had to pay - at least, as far as we could understand. Problems picking up the free wi-fi too, apart from very close to reception area.

Review 60：Excellent position right on the beach and within easy walking distance to the town. Beautiful swimming pool and plenty of room for guests on attractive terraces + direct access to beach. Hotel kept very clean too. Breakfast more than adequate.
