Reviews for Casa Etnea

Review 1:we liked this amazing place. house has great spirit. Giuseppe was wonderful host. highly recommend to all. we were only two nights and it's really not enought.I hope to come back on day:)))

Review 2:Wifi was intermittent. Apart from that we loved everything.

Review 3:A lovely vinyard cottage about a 10-minute drive from the village of Trecastagni. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and picturesque. Perfect if you want to relax in peace and quiet. Our host was incredible; he recommended restaurants and things to do in the village and some good walks to do, told us about the history of the property and the area, and also took us to see a lava cave! Easy to find using google maps; remember to contact the host with your arrival time so they can meet you there. We will recommend Casa Etnea to everyone we know and would love to stay there again.

Review 4:What an amazing gem of a place! The things that set it apart for us were the tranquility, the view, and our host, Guiseppe, whose love and passion for Etna is contagious. His knowledge of the mountain and the surrounding sites was so valuable and his advice on how to make the most of our two days resulted in a fascinating, rewarding and memorable experience! Highly recommended!

Review 5:If you want to self-cater, a little more kitchen equipment would be helpful

Review 6:If you are looking for a hideaway on Etna - this is it! Giuseppe, who owns Casa Etnea, is the best possible introduction to Sicily that anyone could ask for and he made our first 48hours on the island really memorable. Can't wait to go back!

Review 7:View is magnificent, location superb, very friendly and helpfull hosts will tell you about Etna and Sicilly and overall it is amazing to find such high quality restored autentic historical house with all modern quality facilities. It is remote and private and at the same time only 10 mins drive away from shops and food in very authentic village Trecastagni, 20 min from etna excursions starting point etna sud and half hour drive to the sea side. Stay at least 3 nights, 2 is not enough!

Review 8:Nothing with the place at all. As expected in a rural area, the WiFi may a be a bit slow at times indoors, but outdoors (internet key) it's very good. But after all, it's a place where you should go to relax and not work!. Just a word of warning - the road to get there is a bit rough, so be careful if you're travelling in a low sports car. That's it, nothing more.

Review 9:Marvellous, idyllic house for a very good price with an amazing view and surrounding lands. I wish I could buy the property! Giuseppe and his family were amazingly lovely to deal with. It's an amazing place to unwind in with beautiful walks to be had. The interior finishings are extremely good, and is very homely indeed.

Review 10:We enjoyed staying at casa Etnea very much. We had a warm welcome of a very passionate and enthousiastic owner. The house is in the middle of nowhere, ideal when you are looking for a peacefull holiday. We were lucky to see the eruption of the Etna, which made our stay even more special. Thank you Guiseppe!

Review 11:Although the property is lovely it is very hard to find, you need to go on semi made up roads that are not signposted or marked to find this hidden gem. Take a map to help as it feels very isolated which has both positives and negatives after the busy towns.

Review 12:Casa Etnea is one of the few places you can stay on Etna with amazing views of the volcano on one side and the panoramic views of the coastline on the other. It is peaceful, calm and isolated in a tranquil location. The owner has an extensive knowledge and love of Etna and is very happy to help you, passing on tips of where to go and what is best to do at that time. It was magical as we saw the explosions of Etna from the garden at night and could hear the regular boom.

Review 13:Just a very minor point: there is a great place at the back to sit outside. We like to read books and it would be nice if there where some more comfertable chairs for this purpose to sit outside. But this is ofcourse just a minor issue considering the great place Casa Etnea is.

Review 14:The Casa Etnea is a great place to stay. It is a comfortabel, very quiet and very beatifull place to stay. Especially if you like (mountain) walking and nature this is a excellent place. It is a bit remote and you will need your own car to get to the Casa, but on the other hand you can be eating in a restaurant in just about 20 minutes by car. There is also a place more close to the case where you can have excellent Italian lunch. Of course you could also cook your own meal or (in our case) enjoy a great meal prepared by the staff and eat together with the other guests. The owner and his wife are nice people and a real Etna-lover. The man will help you with planning your Etna trip. We had a great time there for 3 days while exploring Sicily for the first time. This is a place we will visit again for sure and enjoy the Casa and the beautiful Etna. You can walk right of the Casa onto the nearby mountain which gives you a beautiful sight of the nearby forest and villages.
