Reviews for Locanda Riviera

Review 1:Breakfast choices could be improved. Small bathroom and shower cubicle

Review 2:Good location - right on the lake and a ten minute drive to Orta San Guilio or the ferry stop is 300m up the road at the Hotel Giardinetto. Very nice staff. Lake view rooms have large balcony with lovely views.

Review 3:Our booking confirmation said the room had air-conditioning however the air conditioning was broken and the staff refused to give us any compensation or acknowledge that it was reasonable to expect air conditioning if it was specifically mentioned on the booking website. Breakfast was very basic Shower so small not enough room to shave legs Food at dinner very poor quality - probably out of a packet. Apparently 70's decor - looked more like jumble sale. Art work in room appeared to have been produced by children.

Review 4:Direct access to the lake - wonderful to swim in Lovely garden to relax in Easy to find and good parking It's such a shame this place isn't being run by people who know what they're doing - it could be so much nicer.

Review 5:extremly friendly family-run hotel with a large territory, a good restaurant, with huge isolated balconies and stunning views of the lake. Beautiful design of the rooms and halls, a lot of different art, designer furniture. For any weather there is a lot of board games, a terraces and panoramic windows. Very nice place. Thanks!

Review 6:Hotel was shut and no staff present when we arrived. Pillows awful.

Review 7:Wonderful lake view from balcony, free parking, hotel on lake with private swimming area

Review 8:not recommended for street side room, too much noise. not many beach chairs on the beach, without matresses.

Review 9:the hotel is right on the beach. enough parking directly at the hotel.

Review 10:Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Good value for the price.

Review 11:WiFi only available in the lounge. Tiny bathroom. Ordinary breakfast and service.

Review 12:Great position on the lake, easy to find and park.

Review 13:a very friendly and welcoming place.

Review 14:Location. Room had a good view of lake. Car parking available. Friendly staff.

Review 15:Soemthing just did not seem quite right - can't be specific!

Review 16:Trip advisor entry We booked this hotel because it offered a lakeside room with balcony at a reasonable price. Knowing that if we wanted to stay in the tourist trap of San Giulio, about 4km away we would have had to drag our baggage down to the town. It t urned out to be quiet, which we liked, in a beautiful setting, smallish rooms with balcony and a basic but adequate breakfast. It has a restaurant, but nobody seemed to be using it; neither did we.

Review 17:The price was a bit steep, but I'm a college student on a budget. For someone with a regular income, it's probably an alright price.

Review 18:Private balcony! The beach is also very close, and the whole town is small enough to walk, so if you want to explore the other beaches you can do that too :)

Review 19:The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't the worst we have slept in either. The town is tiny, which is both charming and limiting.

Review 20:The hotel is fantastic, the staff is excellent, the private beach is perfect and the breakfasts are outstanding!

Review 21:Good chef, attentive staff, English spoken

Review 22:The food was to expensive 38 euro for menu of the day

Review 23:Any problem was addressed quickly Food was good
