Reviews for Dalfruin B&B
Review 1:It was great to have the use of a beautiful shady garden, with personal mozzy spray thoughtfully supplied by owner. Also enjoyed the interesting decor, cute kitchenette, very comfy bed.
Review 2:Nothing, this B&B is just amazing. Maybe only as a suggestion: it'd be great if the coffee pads would be re-filled for the 2nd day (we are coffee addicts ;))
Review 3:Super cosy and comfortable room and garden, decorated with love, spacious bathroom, breakfast is set up in the room which gives good flexibility and an opprtunity to sleep in, easy to find parking, lovely hosts
Review 4:Facilities fantastic but disappointed that when the toilet seat was lifted It was soiled obviously by previous visitors. I am sure this was just a mishap as everything else was just beautiful.
Review 5:The facilities were just beautiful. The ambience just perfect. Gardens, house furniture, took us back to the classiness of this b&b. Cannot beat the heritage of older style housing & furniture.
Review 6:nothing!
Review 7:Spacious clean & comfortable room with everything you might need provided. Friendly welcoming hosts. Pretty garden & quiet location but near to river walk and town centre
Review 8:loved it all !!!!
Review 9:Fantastic hosts , private entrance to your upstairs room overlooking an amazing garden . a wonderful array of breakfast goodies AND even port and chocolates !!!
Review 10:Location, midway point for us going to the Sapphire Coast from Geelong. Quiet Best eclairs!! Relaxing garden setup and room was well presented. Private Breakfast already provided in room on arrival, so you can enjoy it at your leisure the next morning.
Review 11:We loved the heritage decor and the beautiful garden. The hosts went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Their suggestions for meals and excursions suited us perfectly and they were very generous in lending and giving us tourist memorabilia and information. Highly recommended!
Review 12:We liked the courtesy, friendliness & discrete professionalism of the owners, as well as their helpfulness; excellent facilities; comfort & cleanliness; quietness, yet closeness to rural city; beautiful garden; value for money.
Review 13:Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - hosts were welcoming and not intrusive and our room was very well appointed with all the creature comforts of home! Breakfast was also more than adequate. Congratulations to the owners!
Review 14:Small shower - plenty of room available for larger cubicle. Parking on road - parking provided for only one vehicle and there are three rooms on premises.
Review 15:Comfortable bed, warm spacious room, ample continental breakfast provisions.
Review 16:Andrea and Keith were willing to help with everything. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. Non intrusive. Everything was beautiful, clean and warm. Cant wait to go back.
Review 17:Shower was a bit small, and the self catering was very basic (for cooking, only a kettle and microwave yet well equipped with knives etc)
Review 18:Beautiful apartment, very spacious and comfortable. Great as a base to explore the area. The owners were friendly and considerate.
Review 19:The fact that we only stayed for one night! Next time will stay longer ...
Review 20:Friendly hosts, great location and establishment, and loved reading the history of Dalfruin.
Review 21:Andrea & Keith were thoughtful hosts. We were late back on a very cold night and they had taken the trouble to put on our air-conditioner and an access light. Highly recommend this accommodation. We would certainly return.
Review 22:Only stayed 1 night, wished it was longer
Review 23:Our room was beautiful! The Hosts were very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed the little touches like the port & chocolates. Also, loved the idea of being able to make our own breakfast in the morning.
Review 24:The homeowner Keith was very welcoming and the room was complete luxury. The en-suite with freestanding bath and seperate shower was lovely and the breakfast much appreciated.
Review 25:No bad experience at all.
Review 26:The beautiful property with every attention paid to the finest details. This is a wonderfully run business which stands out by far for the level of care offered to us.
Review 27:The bats in the trees along the river, but one doesn't have to walk along there.... we went the wrong way, but soon "about turned" and had a lovely walk.
Review 28:The greeting upon arrival made one feel so important. The absolute cleanliness of the facility. The peacefulness of the garden. The comfy bed. The breakfast was adequate.
Review 29:Having to leave!
Review 30:Our hosts were lovely people who thought only of the comfort of their guests. We were welcomed as friends and left as good friends, nothing is too much trouble , I can't rate Dalfruin highly enough! Each of the individual accommodations was lovely, the gardens perfect.
Review 31:The noise from the road in the morning woke us - as we live in a rural village we are not used to it!
Review 32:The owners Keith and Andrea were very welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable apartment with everything provided including unique little extras.
Review 33:Bella vista apartment was very pleasing.Bright colours.Surrounds were kept in excellent condition.Close to all the town's facilities.Operators friendly and helpful. Will stay the next time we are in the area.
Review 34:None so far as are concerned.
Review 35:Our 1 night stay was a wonderful experience. Keith and Andrea are perfect hosts. The property generally and the room were perfectly presented. A-C was put on before we arrived, the bed was the best we had in 3 and half weeks of a road holiday and the star treats of port and chocolates shows the attention to detail and comfort.
Review 36:Our room was large, very well supplied with all facilities and a more than substantial breakfast. We hope to use it again as a half way stop to Merimbula.
Review 37:Our stay was absolutely wonderful and just what the doctor ordered after a long cycle journey. Our hosts were incredibly generous - even offering luggage transport at an unsociable 5:45am morning start. They have thought of every comfort in the room - including such niceties as umbrellas and a small shopping bag to use during our stay. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the room.
Review 38:The wifi router is placed to far away from the room, we had to sit at the bottom of the stairs to pick up the signal.
Review 39:The room and the garden and the hosts.
Review 40:Non smoking property. You can't smoke any where in this place, didn't bother me a lot but worth mentioning it.
Review 41:Good location, staff are lovely, rooms are big, beautifuly designed and well equipped.
Review 42:We stayed two nights in the Garden Apartment, which is like your own apartment with huge combined living room and bed room included your private kitchen area. The breakfast selection was huge - plenty of different items. The couple who runs the B&B was also very warm and nice people - thanks to them running the nice and cosy place.
Review 43:The only comment is that the wifi was not always reliable but this was not essential to me.
Review 44:I was in the garden flat which meant I had my own entrance with good view over the garden. The flat had everything I could need for my stay and extra. Thoughtful touches such as chocolates that were well supplied. Andrea and Keith were discrete but gracious hosts in their lovely historic home. It was very clean and comfortable and the best accommodation I had had during my visit. I would highly recommend it. It was close enough to walk into town and near to a walk by the river. I would recommend it for travellers who want good access to the local area whilst being in a town location.
Review 45:That we only had one night there.
Review 46:The owners very kindly offered to collect our bags from the train enabling us to walk around the town unencumbered. They also dropped them back at the station so we could walk along the riverside. The room was spacious and well appointed.
Review 47:Nothing! I enjoyed every moment I was there!
Review 48:The whole place was just fantastic for what I was hoping to find when looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay. The owners were very caring and I appreciated the lengths they went to to make the whole experience just wonderful! Great location too!
Review 49:Wi Fi to week from my room otherwise I have no complaints what's so ever.
Review 50:I had my own space away from the main house. Sunrise through the window was magical.
Review 51:The wifi needs revisiting with some help from someone who knows how to set it up properly. In this day and age, it is an assert not to be overlooked. We survived without it but many would consider it a major draw card. Perhaps renew the toilet seat for people who maybe a little disabled. These two suggestions do not detract from the warmth of the owners who have done a wonderful job setting up this business.
Review 52:A lot of attention went into creating a warm and lovely unit. The bed was very comfortable. Nothing was overlooked to make for a cosy stay. There was a cane table and chairs setting, a lounge chair, coffee table, coffee machine, and many other items to add to comfort and homeliness. The shower was hot and a good flow of water. The garden unit is private and there was noise at all from the street. It was very quiet. Compared to a motel unit, it was filled with atmosphere and loving detail.
Review 53:From the moment we were greeted at the door we knew it was a going to be a great stay. Very helpful an full of helpful tips not just for our stay but for our trip as well. Great garden area which we will return for in the warmer months.
Review 54:Kitchen sink was way too high for comfort
Review 55:Nice "feel"; dish of chocolates; great coffee; selection of magazines; quirky decor; warm and cosy room; friendly and helpful hosts.
Review 56:Liked the décor prior to the bright colours.
Review 57:Outside the main house with its own entrance. Very spacious for a B & B. Chocolates and port provided. The apartment was well heated. Lots of extras in the kitchenette.
Review 58:Most comfy bed ever. Port and chocolates a lovely touch. Personal meet and assistance with luggage so helpful. Enough breaky for the hungriest traveller. So private, quiet, restful, and beautiful what more could you ask for?
Review 59:One thing only, and this is only because I am very fussy - I drink green tea and there was none, a great choice of teas and coffees but no green tea. As I said a very very small point.
