Reviews for Agriturismo Pian Di Meta Vecchia
Review 1:We stayed here for the first 2 nights of a 2-week honeymoon in Italy, and this was the most memorable, lovely part of our trip. The accommodations are rustic, romantic and stylish (with comfortable bed and amazing shower), the setting is beautiful and serene, and the meals prepared by Elena and Andrea are among the best of my life. They also produce their own delicious red wine, which we enjoyed by the fireplace on the cool evenings. We loved every minute and hope to return. Thank you, Elena and Andrea, for your perfect hospitality :)
Review 2:The location is a bit far. Do not the option get to the direction in booking as it takes to the other side of the river.
Review 3:Andrea's hospitality and cooking skill The comfort of the bed The valley and deers, rabbits, etc. Everything is homemade with TLC and Bio!!!
Review 4:Most of all I liked from all places where I was. This wonderful place is located in the valley between the mountains. Like nature itself has created a place for those people who are tired of the hustle and bustle, phone calls, conversations. This is a place for those who want to forget about everything and connect with nature. I live in the village, there is good air, but the mountain air in this place can not be compared to anything else. Green plains, deers are walking near, and if in the morning you look out on the window - you can see them very close! Excellent home-made food, which no one will give you a restaurant in the city, and I especially liked the pumpkin soup! Homemade wine, candles, fireplace, in general the whole situation just amazing. The phone does not work there, but you don't need it, believe me! I regret only one thing that we did not stayed there for a week. I advise everyone. Thanks owners. You - just super! Yulia, Russia
Review 5:Everything! Elena and Andrea who run the Agricultura, the warmth, the fantastic landscape just outside our door, the delicious and plentiful food. The house and rooms were tasteful and clean. A good spot for exploring Toscana. We enjoyed the quietness and are sure to come back.
Review 6:The agriturismo is perfectly located in the middle of the beautiful Val d'Orcia. It is run by a very nice couple Elena and Andrea who make sure that your stay there is one to remember. The appartment had everything we needed and the food prepared by Elena and Andrea surpassed all our expectations. Highly recommendable!
Review 7:Though a bit of the paved road, a perfect stop for trying some fine local cusine and some of the best "Brunello di Montalcino" labels (that we had during our trip) that the house serves. Adorable couple running the premise which is a special thing on its own. Rustic, minimal, clean design. Really worth a stop for our one night stay! The grappas were another special thing as well.
Review 8:Amazing place, tranquil, quiet and with high levels of comfort Elena and her husband made amazing, super-tasty food and made us feel at home. We will definitely return!
Review 9:The only thing we disliked was that we hadn´t booked the dinner they offer. Judging by the breakfast and the facilities (indoor/outdoor as you wish), the dinner would have been an experience in itself. We also hated to leave. The place is in the heart of the wine county and one could do day trips, hikes in the area and not mention relaxing.
Review 10:I cannot recommend this place enough. After a long, adventurous drive through thickets and darkness, we arrived on an open plain to a single house surrounded by complete silence disturbed only by crickets. We were four people sharing the suite, which was spacious, airy and comfortable. The bathroom had an amazing herbal smell that turned out to come from the complimentary soap. Breakfast was served at the time we wanted, and we came to a beautifully set table that was not a full hotel buffet, but tasty, home made and perfectly satisfying. Andrea with his kind eyes and white beard was serving fresh coffee and making us feel like we could sit there forever, chatting and eating in the morning sunshine. We wished we could stay on for several days. We arrived easily in a rented Ford Focus without any damage to the car. The drive down the dirt road is a little challenging, but the road is in good condition and you just need to take it slow and be a bit brave. We didn´t feel worried, because Elena had said that if we didn´t manage they would come pick us up.
Review 11:The road is long and gravel... not for everyone.
Review 12:Way off the beaten path, rustic, and the food is splendid.
Review 13:Owner Location is 7 km bad bad road and not possible for car (mini)
Review 14:Road to the place was terrible 4miles of really bad road!
Review 15:Everything, but getting there.
Review 16:You can buy a new car so bad to get there. Dinner is very expensive ..
Review 17:Complete peace of mind, far from everything. You have a beautiful home and landscape.
Review 18:Simply amazing place in a beautiful and secluded location (it's 7 km drive on a dirt road, so it's really off the beaten track), great simple design, but very modern. Excellent for hikes or for relaxed time out. The dinner was home made and served with excellent wine, for a good price.
Review 19:Although the place is very beautiful, it is very hard to reach as you need 6km of dirt road, which becomes very rough at some points.
Review 20:The agriturismo is really beautiful and the rooms are nice, simplistic and elegant. The location is also very nice. But the best thing about it is the dinner prepared by the owners. It's great both in quality and quantity.
Review 21:The only thing we could fault is the road leading up to the farm. We had a hire car and because the front of the car was quite low we struggled a little on the road/track as it is quite uneven. If you have a 4 x 4 you will be absolutely fine and most cars for that matter but it is just something to be aware of.
Review 22:Excellent Agriturismo with lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely shower and stunning views from our window. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! We would recommend having dinner their in the evening.
Review 23:This is a jewel hidden in romantic wilderness - do not miss it. The hosts Elena and Andrea welcomed us in their preciously restored ancient farmhouse with unsurpassable hospitality, affection, delicious Tuscan cuisine and plenty of sightseeing suggestions. The rooms dispose over a high degree of privacy and are comfortable, quiet, very well equipped with unexceptionable views into the vineyards. We have much enjoyed the calm and picturesque authenticity of the place and will certainly come back soon.
Review 24:In the web you don't have any advise of the track status to arrive at the Pian di Meta Vecchia. You need to drive more than 6 km over a poor sand and rocks track to arrive.
Review 25:1) La cucina vegetariana (su richiesta) ... squisita !!!! 2) La pace del luogo #################### 1) The vegetarian cooking (on demand) ... excellent !!! 2) The peaceful place
Review 26:Nothing! I want to come back when they will finetune their own wine...
Review 27:Location is excelent for run away from stress and chaos. You will be completly covered by nature. Staff is excelent: the right trade off beetween kindness and privacy respect. High food quality: both meat and fish menù! Remind that this place is 6km far from the main road ( by a stone based road )
Review 28:The road to this agriturismo is very bad. It is a country/mountainroad of 7 km long!!!!! With bad weather you need a 4x4 car. This is not mentioned on the site.
Review 29:The owners are very friendly. The old farmhouse is renovated very beautifully. The diner was very nice.
Review 30:An old farm in the core of a wonderful Tuscan valley, far from any other habitation, perfectly renovated. Pure design with traditional material and very comfortable amenities. Excellent diner and breakfast, entirely home-made. Friendly welcome.
Review 31:euh...?!
Review 32:view is amazing food was delicious service was really good the lady of the house knows how to threat here guests
Review 33:Very nice location, beautiful simple house with splendid countryside view
