Reviews for Agriturismo Grossola

Review 1:Nothing it was wonderful.

Review 2:Beautiful location and we had a lovely seperate guest house which was very pretty. Silvia our host was incredibly helpful, as we arrived needing transport to a wedding, which she quickly organised, and then took us herself to pick up our car the next day. When I asked for a hairdryer, Silvia brought straighteners too, which has never happened even in the most high end hotels we have stayed in!

Review 3:The premise is located on the top of the hill in a fantastic place. The views are absolutely fascinating. I will always be dreaming about coming back. The host is very welcoming and nice. And you can find lots of cosy towns in the area to visit and enjoy history.

Review 4:One lovely room with undortunately without air conditioning - considering it was over 40 degrees, it would have helped to get better sleep.

Review 5:The lady of the house, Silvia, was absolutely wonderful and kind. I would really recommend staying in this lovely agriturismo.

Review 6:Only downer is that wifi connection in not stable/good, most probably due to the location itself and network signal being too low. But in a place like this you wouldn't need wifi!

Review 7:Apartment quite big and comfortable. Swimming pool close by. Dinner set up "old style" with home made food. Landscape around is beautiful and peaceful

Review 8:The neighbors cats were too numerous and too present. Also, the property did not have an address for the GPS. This made it difficult to find theplace in the dark.

Review 9:We were very much looking forward to our visit to the Tuscany area. Alot of research went into selecting the right place. We were very pleased with the Agriturismo Grossola. Because of travel plans we arrived very late at night. It was dark and the roads were twisty and difficult to see. Even though we arrived late, Silvia was there with a smile and very welcoming. The room was comfortable and large, with high ceilings. The view from our open windows looked over the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our room was situated in a building with a "community kitchen." One evening we brought back pizzas and wine and had a wonderful evening sitting around the table in this Tuscan-decorated kitchen. The pool was open and clean. We swam and enjoyed the poolside chairs during the sunset over the picturesque Tuscan countryside. Silvia and her mother provided a hearty breakfast each morning. All was very good. Try the juice, you'll go back for seconds. We recommend this property and will return to Tuscany one day.

Review 10:The property is old and doesn't Have much. Not very conducive to taking walks or venturing too far from the house. Breakfast was nearly nothing. I don't understand why they don't offer any fresh fruit or vegetable in a place in the country side. It can't be that expensive.

Review 11:Nice quiet peaceful place. Very nice and pleasant owner.. She cooked a true home made italian dinner (for a cost of course). I would recommend it as a very affordable option to stop late in afternoon, have a home-made meal, sleep, get up in morning and leave.

Review 12:Bed comfort, distance to nearby places

Review 13:Breakfast, view, swimming pool

Review 14:Awesome place for chill-out, super quiet, great view and friendly couple running it

Review 15:poor breakfast for tourist from north country

Review 16:charming owner super pool

Review 17:view from the window

Review 18:The good service and attentive staff. Good value for money.

Review 19:No complaints whatsoever.

Review 20:Views were awesome. Room was clean, nice and comfortable. Service was excellent and friendly. Tasty dinners.

Review 21:Dinner wasn't overly adventurous. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade.

Review 22:Great view, very spacious, tranquil.

Review 23:Excellent view from our room and thanks for the excellent service from Silvia. Her smile made us very welcomed to Italy!! Thanks!!

Review 24:Peaceful comfortable. Amazing family. Helped us when we were lost and tired. Home cooking was awesome.

Review 25:Brilliant view on the wine yards of montalcino and suroundings!

Review 26:Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Very warm welcome. Beautifully, sympathetically converted buildings. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic, homecooked food and cakes. Emphasis on local specialities. Lovely wine from own vines.

Review 27:We have no concomplaints. There is nothing we didn't like.

Review 28:Everything. The location is beautiful and gives a heartwarming view of Tuscany. The air is fresh, the food was homemade and made with care. The owner is hospitable, kind, and very welcoming. We loved the intimate environment that made us feel like home.

Review 29:Right in the midle of Tuscany's countryside, this establishment offers beautiful views. The rooms are adequate and breakfast is OK. It is a bit difficult to find but can be used as a good base to explore the region. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Review 30:Very difficult to find without Silvia's instructions. We were surprised there was no fridge to keep food or water in as its 20 mins to nearest place to buy anything.. The room had a small sink unit with plates and glasses but no cutlery or corkscrew but I'm sure Silvia's would have lent us one... Breakfast was a bit bland. Everything set before you arrived. Two large pieces of cake to fill you up, no fresh bread only packet toast, no meats or cheese. Although home made yogurt and jam were good. Needs a few more beds by the pool as people were having to sit on the ground.

Review 31:The room was big with great views. The pool was good for a dip after a hot day touring. Silvia was very helpful. Extra instructions were sent to help find the hotel as Booking's map location was wrong.

Review 32:Small refrigerator in the room will be great advantege, altrought you can buy drinks out the fridge from owners at decent price.

Review 33:Fantastic view to the tuscan hils. Very nice room and other facilities in rustic style. Nice and friendly owners.

Review 34:The announced "restaurant" is not really a restaurant as it opens only once a day for a pre-defined set menu. So for us who was only there 2 days, we would have liked that we could have gotten something to eat during the day. If you stay longer however, there is a kitchen so you can buy and make your own meals. We were disappointed to find out that the breakfast consisted of 2 big pieces of cake and a dry supermarket biscuit with some jam. We had booked an agriturismo hoping for a rich buffet with local specialties. Nothing seemed to take place at the farm, so it felt most like a bed to sleep in and nothing else. And for that the price seemed a bit high.

Review 35:Very nice owners. The location is perfect for exploring the Tuscan countryside. For the cat lovers there are many cats on the farm, and they're very friendly with people. The home cooked Tuscan food served every evening was amazing and reasonably priced. You have to have a good appetite though, for it is Italian style with both first and second course.

Review 36:The food could be improved by offering some choices - as opposed to a set menu where everyone has to eat the same thing. We stayed in a small apartment with a lovely little covered terrace. However, the bathrooms were not so great - no excuse for not having a lid on the toilet! Also, the mattresses were not so comfortable.

Review 37:The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The surroundings are panoramic, with beautiful views, and there is a lovely pool. We had a very enjoyable stay. It is a great option for travellers on a tight budget.

Review 38:Enjoyed our stay. The location is great for getting around the wine country. The dinners were excellent and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing. Would have liked to stay longer.

Review 39:Italian Agritourismo's are a great thing. For anyone who likes wine staying at an active vineyard is heaven. We liked all of the cats that were about. The food was excellent.

Review 40:Rooms very simple and dark. ( no windows besides a small window on the doors. ) Breakfast was ok but a bit simple. In general I had expected more value for the money, based on previous reviews.

Review 41:The location was very nice with a beautiful view , Rooms clean and friendly staff

Review 42:A gps will be useful to help find it...and asking around

Review 43:Silvia and her family were a delight. So welcoming. Keeping in mind thiswas an old property and an agriturismo, one could imagine being in thisplace centuries ago making the olive oil and wine that continues to thisday. Very clean, each room different. A very different experience thanthe "boxed" hotel concept.

Review 44:friendly stuff , nice beds and amazing views

Review 45:The owner was lovely and very helpful. Lovely to have a pool.
