Reviews for Hotel Villa Margherita
Review 1:Brown water coming out of tap, never having loo roll in the toilet and no towels in the room when we first arrived
Review 2:The pool was nice and probably the best part of the hotel
Review 3:The toilet decided to not flush on many occasions, then an hour later it would. The water stopped working in the shower and the taps - when it returned, the water was brown. The shower temperature was only lukewarm. Shower was very dirty. The cold tap on the sink didn't really go cold. The decor in the room could do with updating - lots of scuffs, dents and dirt on the walls.
Review 4:Wide choice of delicious foods for breakfast. The Spa at the hotel was lovely and only 15 euros for 3 days use. I became ill during our stay and the receptionist was very kind and helpful towards me. Very comfortable beds and the air con in the room was great. The pool area at the hotel was great and wasn't too busy whilst we were there.
Review 5:That my bathroom hadn't been cleaned, that my bed collapsed - even though it was just folding legs collapsing...still!
Review 6:I liked the quirky, old, tired, once was amazing feeling to the place. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would go back.
Review 7:Ideal location for first night stopover from airport. Friendly staff, clean room and generous breakfast. Hotel is undergoing some updates and improvements. Lovely town with restaurants etc. Will return!
Review 8:Service in the restaurant was very slow due to there being only one waitress to serve 12 tables.
Review 9:I stayed at the Hotel Villa Margherita whilst on a business trip to nearby Peccioli. The hotel offered a very relaxing & comfortable base at a very good price. The rooms are in need of some TLC as are a bit tired & dated, but this is easily outweighed by the experience of waking from a great night's sleep followed by a swim in the delightful outdoor pool & enjoying a filling breakfast before heading off to work! The reception staff are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning.
Review 10:The wifi connections were bad.
Review 11:Refreshing pool!
Review 12:The room
Review 13:The bar
Review 14:No much to do, very basic hotel
Review 15:Surrounding were lovely for a short stay
Review 16:No-one on reception for 30 minutes after their morning opening time.
Review 17:Very simple rooms and the AC system was hardly what to expect from a four star hotel and for this price
Review 18:Hotel ice machine breaking down in the middle of a heat wave
Review 19:Very good location for visiting Pisa, Lucca, San Giminiano, Volterra and the coast and cities like Florence and Sienna are 90 min driving. The hotel has a beautiful pool to cool off after a long day and the town piazza with great restaurants is only minutes away. Maria at the reception was very helpful and the most accommodating person for our entire stay, nothing was too much to ask she even offered to bring ice from nearby Spa when hotel's ice machine broke down, excellent service.
Review 20:Very noisy - cleaners started hoovering and chatting at 7 am and therewas a lot of noise through the night from wedding party guests. Hotelvery shabby - restaurant was closed. You gave it a four star ratingwhich it is not. Overall disappointing and on your website it ismisleading.
Review 21:Receptionist helpful
Review 22:Big, comfortable room. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Secure parking. Nice little spa town of Casciana Terme in the Chianti region with great wineries to explore.
Review 23:The mattress in the bed is too soft. The restauarant offer only two menus to choose from at dinner.
Review 24:The hotel is really nice like an old villa. The swimming pool is clean, the garden is beautiful. The location is close to the city center.
Review 25:Wifi is very limited in the rooms.
Review 26:In the heart of Casciana Terme, this hotel is ideally located to explore the western Tuscany region. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast and dinner. The hotel has its own spa and there is a large one across the street - worth a visit. Many vintners in the region for excellent wines and olive oil.
Review 27:There is an extra charge of 10 euro per person for access to the spa. This was not mentioned anywhere on the site. The spa was quite small. Not as nice as on the very professional pictures. Breakfast was mediocreand service not great
Review 28:Outside pool very nice: clean and good size with many sunbeds around Oldhotel, but with character Staff at reception friendly, but not veryprofessional
Review 29:- there was a loud party in the park opposite the Villa Margherita on the first night
Review 30:+ nice building and sourroundings + clean, spacious rooms + very good breakfast buffet + free parking
Review 31:The annex rooms are extremely basic (as reflected in the very cheap price) but we quickly relaxed into our stay and din't mind at all.
Review 32:Villa Margherita is in a quiet street with no traffic noise. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. The staff are very friendly and highly professional. Room service is first class with beautifully fresh sheets and well-made beds, plus clean towels every day. The outdoor pool is large and very clean.
Review 33:Nothing we will be back !!
Review 34:The Hotel is ideally situated not far from Pisa, the Facilities available are excellent and the staff are extremely helpful.
Review 35:More improvements not dislike. They could provide lunch/snacks such as a nice salad, panni, fries, crisps. Did provide peanuts. Taxi is expensive from airport. Either book with hotel as much cheaper or travel to hotel via train. One stop to Pisca Central, change platform go to Pondetera and from there get a bus to Casciana Terme. Cost is about 7 euros each
Review 36:Lovely large light and airy rooms, which were very clean. The staff were very helpful, especially the general manager Antonio, who could not do enough for us. He was very informative with regards to travel information and bus times etc. I was a part of a large wedding party and they catered for all children, young and mature. Breakfast was lovely. The price for soft drinks in the mini bar was very reasonable compared to what you paid outside of the hotel. I liked the small market they had on either Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Casciana Terme is a beautiful little quaint friendly village/town. The spa facilities was very good. Would definitely go back as a family.
Review 37:Not enough deck chairs; towels for the pool costs 2Euro; service at thepool is unsufficient
Review 38:Spacious rooms and bath rooms, even so the classic rooms are a bitsimple; very beautiful main building; villa has a nice park, theswimming pool and the pool area is clean and in good conditions; minibarpricelist is very guest-friendly; city center with restaurants and cafesis within walking distance; private car parking; during breakfast youget all coffee-variations at the bar for free; new wellness center(treatments are not cheap)
Review 39:Nothing really - apart from the air conditioning in the room could dowith a boost. We went in August and the weather was very hot. Theredidn't appear to be any evening meals available at the hotel duringour stay, although the hotel information sheet suggested that theyprovided meals.
Review 40:This old Tuscan Villa hotel has lots of charm and has plenty of spafacilities. The receptionists were friendly and spoke good English.Rooms were good but most didn't have a balcony. The pool area waslovely. The hotel is central in the town and there are plenty ofrestaurants within walking distance and a lovely park right opposite. Wespent a few nice quiet relaxing days in Casciana Terme.
Review 41:Nothing, all was spot on for my family and I.
Review 42:I liked that nothing was any trouble at all. I felt catered for at all times. Extre Extremely friendly staff who made you feel welcome at all times. Very comfortable and clean hotel. 10/10 for me.
Review 43:It was in a lovely spot, the staff would do anything for you. We were a large group, staying for a weddding. The staff were so helpful and really try to make things good for you. Antonio the general Manager was great. We were a large group with children and sure we were quite a shock to the system, but they made us all feel so welcome. Old and young. It is in the most lovely little village/town. I could go on and on. It was a lovely older Hotel, that felt small, but is actually quite big. Breakfast was great - It was a lovely place to stay.
Review 44:Hotel should give you a choice of meals, I was told by a member of staffthat they wouldn't be able to provide meals as there was something wrongwith the kitchen.
Review 45:Villa Margherita Hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly andhelpful. Hotel was very central also. I would stay there again andreccomend to family friends. Hotel needs to sort out there kitchen sothey can provide meals in the evenings for thier guest. (Breakfast wasvery good).
Review 46:Everything, in particular the manager Antonio and his staff. They werenothing short of excellent, nothing was too much trouble and there wereno language barriers. The hotel was light and airy with wonderfulfacilities. The Spa was excellent. Nice pool and good continentalbreakfast, which included bacon and eggs! Better than other hotels inthe vicinity according to patrons staying in those hotels. I heartilyrecommend this hotel to anyone visiting Casciana de Terme
Review 47:There should have been the standard items in the rooms eg. kettle & tea/coffee facilities.Irons & iron boards. These were not available in the rooms.A room was set up for the only iron & board to be place.
Review 48:Excellent managment, very accommodating, because we were a very big group the staff were patience, helpful and polite. The spa treatment that I done was excellent-great facillitates.
Review 49:The only downside for me was the distance to the hotel from the airportby taxi cost €76.00
Review 50:The staff at this hotel were were very helpful and friendly.
Review 51:Got charged 20 Euros extra a night for my 11 year old granddaughter.
Review 52:Lovely, huge pool! Good breakfast. Antonio- hotel manager/owner, wasvery helpful. Nothing was too much for him.
Review 53:We enjoyed our stay at Villa Margherita. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to reach La Jatico to attend Andrea Bocelli Concert.
Review 54:Very minor mildew up high above bathtub in corner ceiling--with the heatand humidity, I'm sure it's a challenge for any hotel in town. Bathtubitself, toilet and floor surface areas were spotlessly clean..not anissue for us, but maybe for someone else. We will gladly stay again.
Review 55:Excellent staff go out of their way to be helpful. Appreciate the betterthan average-for-Italy breakfast and concerted effort to make breakfastselections vary each day. Private parking at no extra cost. Large poolis immaculately maintained. Central to everything. Air-conditioningindividually controlled and works well. If you need total silence, askfor a garden-side room, as front (street) side rooms can get musicdrifting over from the terme until about midnight...we actually like it,but others might prefer the quiet of a back room overlooking the backgarden/pool.
Review 56:Nothing.
Review 57:Everything.
Review 58:Having to leave!
Review 59:Great quiet location. Terrific value rooms.
Review 60:Staff organised a party during our stay, which meant we couldn't sleep and we were not warned about it.
Review 61:Pool area and AC
Review 62:Bit remote, town has limited restaurants, shops.
