Reviews for Hotel Rivè - Complesso Turistico Campo Smith

Review 1:The staff was unpolite. The gym has a lot of potential to become a great one, but the guy who runs it, is awful. Also, you have to pay for the spa facilities which is not indicated when you book the hotel. Such a nice hotel, but horrible staff.

Review 2:The location. Restaurant staff very helpful and polite.

Review 3:Phone was broken SPA is not included and the level of it is pretty bad (cold swimming pool and hamman not working) Light coming into the room through the curtains Bed as hard as wood Decor pretty old fashioned But most of all the staff was pretty useless: - They forgot to give us back the documents (despite the fact that we asked them), so we had to drive back for some time in order to get them back! - Wifi codes was meant to work for 4 devices and worked for 2

Review 4:The location

Review 5:The dining room should have been on the upper floors with a view!! Also there was some noise during the nights by young people staying in the apartments opposite.

Review 6:Very close to lifts. Very good service and staff. Excellent food. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Review 7:SPA is expensive (15EU per person not including towels, head caps etc), they say it is only for adults (12 or above) but the truth was that it was packet with children very young that it looked like a country club pool more than a spa...

Review 8:perfect location, good facilities, we had only breakfast there and it was pretty good.

Review 9:The hotel was not acceptable, but not so cosy. There was not enough of nice places to sit and enjoy in the evenings. All places were full of englishmen looking at sports on TV. To many rooms without windows, including the restaurant. Very uncomfartable beds - and still very expensive. 300 Euro a night - I want more for that price

Review 10:The location just Close to the lifts

Review 11:The position

Review 12:The position is excelent. Do not accept the room if u don't like it. They try to gave us a small room at the 1st floor with no balcony. All the romms from the front face of the hotel has no balcony. All rooms from the back face has balcony. The breakfast is poor and all the same all days. They served aperitives in the lobby in ghe evening for free . It is nice.. The confort of the bad ,for me it was not good. A very hard matress.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Amazingly helpful staff especially the maitre d' and the front desk people. Access to lots of day walks around the area all of which offer incredible views and history

Review 15:Very nice

Review 16:Excellent staff, very helpful and they go out of their way to help.

Review 17:Receptionist poco interessata efficente

Review 18:Camera

Review 19:It's not a ski in ski out... And there are stairs to and from ski room

Review 20:The food

Review 21:no wifi on the 4th floor and its very slow

Review 22:The staff at the hotel were generally helpful, but they kept recommending us dinning places in town instead of pointing out to great coffees just behind the hotel by the slopes. We thought it was very thoughtless as we traveled with an infant and pets. Leisure center was closed and we were not informed about it prior to arrival.

Review 23:Superb location even during the summer. Great outdoor facilities for all ages. Big balcony with fantastic views to the mountains. Ideal if you are looking for a very quite retreat with a family. Lots of hiking places literally on your door step.

Review 24:The location is fantastic if you have small children and the food is very good plenty of choice for breakfast , service in the restaurant very friendly staff.Surely will return in this hotel :))

Review 25:Internet connection was not good enough. Had to find another WIFI to work properly

Review 26:The staff are very helpful. Not everything worked as expected but they were always trying their best to find solutions sometimes very creative.

Review 27:We didn't know in advance that we had to pay extra to use the pool facilities. The hotel should make this clear on their website, as this was one of the features that attracted us. The room telephone did not work and very little effort was made to remedy the situation. It was not possible to control the temperature in the room. The shower screen was totally inadequate. We also sometimes felt like second class guests at breakfast compared to others who had booked their holiday with a large tour company.

Review 28:The hotel was close to the Campo Smith chair lift, and the locker room was in a good location and perfectly adequate. The room was large and the bed comfortable.

Review 29:Rooms were a little to warm at times. Could hear people outside of the door in the hall.

Review 30:Superb location Good choice for breakfast Good size rooms Clean and well kept Lovely Staff Everything yoou need for a good ski hotel, everything is on your doorstep!!

Review 31:The design of the hotel is a little odd slightly impersonal feel to it with no character

Review 32:Near the motorway and easy to find, a good stop off when travelling through. Good breakfast. The village is lovely and we eat there at night, had a lovely meal in a little pizzeria

Review 33:Unfortunatly the rooms were not well insulated, so it is easy to hearthe load Italians! (No offense meant to Italians)

Review 34:Basic and clean, right next to the slopes.

Review 35:- Reception provided no information about facilities upon check in. It was like they wanted to get rid of us the second we arrived. Quite rude. In general the senior male receptionist needs to work on his manners. The more senior girl working there is much more helpfull. - They tried to charge us for using the Spa without telling us it was not included. I refused to pay. It should be included in the price. - They gave us an out of date Bardonecchia card. Luckily the ski station accepted it and gave us the discount.

Review 36:- Hotel is in a great location beside the lift. - Lots of places to eat and drink. - Near enough to town to walk. - Near enough to train station. - Buses stop outside hotel.

Review 37:Breakfast - in a 2 stars hotel you get more. The quality was horrible and even the quantity was not sufficient

Review 38:The staff was very friendly

Review 39:Staff are very helpful and friendly

Review 40:Staff extremely clean and helpfull food very good

Review 41:at 130e/night, I was not expecting to pay extra to access spa and parking...

Review 42:The position is great, near the ski lift...

Review 43:Arrangements for breakfast could have been better.

Review 44:Oldish, dirty. Won't come back again and won't recommend to anyone.

Review 45:Near Frejus.
