Reviews for Murray Gardens Cottages & Motel

Review 1:The driveways are a bit rough.

Review 2:The facilities were a little bit dated, but everything which was required was on hand. I did not require anything more from my accommodation, The staff member I met was kind and friendly.

Review 3:This is being picky as I honestly couldn't fault anything at this establishment how ever I did find the 6am wake up call on my first morning a bit much when your neighbours used the bathroom or shower when there was a loud banging from a water hammer (Pipes vibrating) and there toilet filling up... This was the most annoying thing I could have to endure in my short stay but the Sunday morning was much better. Then voices echoing as they were in your room speaking but they were next door. Guest should be mindful of how loud they speak so there voices dont carry. A fan would have been nice in the room as I did find the room a little stuffy at night. Found the shower inconsistent but once managed how to adjust the water it was adequate.

Review 4:Excellent facilities- Laundry, Jumping pillow, swimming pool, and many other out door activities. BBQ areas My room was very clean and the Queen Size bed was so comfy. Had a good size TV but up too high to watch comfortable Kitchen was great- Microwave, Fridge, toaster + kettle and cutlery.. Plenty of tea, coffee and sugar Good size wardrobe with draws. Dinning table but the dinning chairs were not comfy at all but a cushion helped with that. Large size bathroom Very quiet Air Con Nice large window looking over the gardens Very quiet majority of the time, peaceful. Even came with a iron and iron board Hair dryer in bathroom Over all I was very happy with the room but if Tammy the owner can find a way to curve the bathroom noises this would make the stay so much more comfortable as through the day it was fantastic... Gym Facility Pet Friendly which is great to know-$50 Bond and they have two enclosed runs.

Review 5:Spacious grounds, homely cottages with lovely warm beds and, cosy fireplace. Resident dog added a homely touch. Thought that the find the snail game was fun and a great idea for the big kids as well.

Review 6:Judith, cottage 1, had a disgusting smell that even plugs couldn't disguise one night of our 2 night stay. It is over a septic tank.

Review 7:Had 6 cottages within a circle..easy access for big family time.

Review 8:Hard pillows!! Maybe they should have 2 soft and 2 hard but that's only my opinion.

Review 9:Oh the bed.. Lovely and hard great for someone with a bad back.

Review 10:No dishcloth or tea towel.

Review 11:It was a great, comfortable and very practical style of accommodation, with fabulous additional amenities available to all..Plus the childrens activities were a big winner for younger and older children.

Review 12:Out fire wasn't lit as promised, we were not told of electric blankets and slept bad due to be freezing, not enough kindling for fire,

Review 13:It was a handy location

Review 14:Located on large property with lots of facilities and room to move and park. Friendly welcome and peaceful stay in pleasant surroundings. Close to town without being in town.

Review 15:Strong smoke smell throughout the room, even if no one had been smoking inside (it smelt like it though) there was a 'bucket of butts' just outside the door. Bed was hard and again linen smelt like smoke.

Review 16:Self catering facilities are good (we didn't use them but microwave, toaster etc all there), and an early check-in arranged by friendly staff.

Review 17:Beds not very comfortable- especially the second room. Bathroom had a dreadful smell which seemed to come from the spa bath. Kitchen didn't have a cutting knife.

Review 18:well located. Close to town but felt rural. Enjoyed the fireplace and cosy living space. Generally well kept and clean.

Review 19:Bed was a bit hard for our liking. Went to go for a swim and was overwhelmed by 20 or more young overseas fruit pickers who were also guests. I still did my laps in the pool.

Review 20:We arrived at night so were able to get the key in a lock with instructions how to find the motel room. The room was very clean. Great value for money. Staff were very attentive. Was grateful for air con on the hot days.

Review 21:Some of the kitchen facilities could be modernised and improved.

Review 22:The facilities provided and the attitude of the staff were excellent for families with young children. Excellent outdoor facilities.

Review 23:Fitout of room with plastic flowers was overdone & TV was fading

Review 24:Service was kind & helpful. Overall a place to come back to except for the room decorations!

Review 25:Rooms tired need a make over, electric blanket did not work and toilet was continually running. This was our 3rd time here but will try somewhere else next time

Review 26:Good location not far from town quiet decent sized room with facilities to cook - toaster, microwave tea coffee cutterlry and crockery provided

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:Loved the quiet setting, comfortable bedding, homely feel of the room. The room was spacious and clean. First visit to Stanthorpe and a nice experience. Love the big dog at reception best of all.

Review 29:The kitchen fluorescent light didn't work so we made our dinner using one of the bed lamps and put it on top of the fridge. The matches were damp, so it was tricky to light the fire.

Review 30:The bed was very comfortable and warm, fire was nice, and heated the cottage well. The place was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and even gave us some butter to save us going to the shops. An enjoyable stay.

Review 31:Cottage was underwhelming. Bathroom was v old, kitchen/living area was fine but nothing impressive. We were offered a choice of log fire or gas heater on booking, requested a log fire and weren't given one....on asking what happened it turned out that they should never have offered it as they were booked. A log fire would have made a difference as the gas fire cottage was v cold and unexciting.

Review 32:Location v near town and the river. Jumping cushion a great distraction for the kids. Friendly staff. Electric blankets!!

Review 33:The motel style rooms are very roomy which is great, however the bathroom was very much on the tiny side.

Review 34:At first I thought the location was not good next to the highway, but once inside it is quite peaceful, it is only a short walk to Quart Pot Creek and the walking trail up to the main street. The staff are friendly and my pre-teens enjoyed the facilities.

Review 35:There was only one toilet (combined with the bathroom) for 6 people.

Review 36:Very efficient service Polite and friendly staff - Tammy, thank you so much for your hospitality! Facilities were awesome - especially the big pillow/jumping thing Clean - we come back to a clean cottage every day!

Review 66:Location close to town and garden setting

Review 67:Not anough room in the bathroom to put your toiletries. The electric jug to big to put water in it from the tap on the bathroom basin

Review 68:The surroundings around the cottages and peaceful admosphere. The white linnen, and lovely towles,

Review 69:No internet access from our room; I only ever book hotels with free wi-fi so not to have this was a deal breaker for me. We could get it at reception, but needed it in the room. A screened area to sit outside the room or even be able to open the curtains after dark without being "on display" would also have improved our stay.

Review 70:free upgrade to a larger room :-) Staff were friendly but seemed stretched.

Review 71:could do with a tidy up

Review 72:Love the way the staff went out of their way to make it a lovely stay. The grounds were inviting and lots to do for a family ,we enjoyed walking around the garden

Review 73:Would have been nice to have a screen door on the room so we could leave the door open without letting the bugs in

Review 74:Motel room very well appointed with two queen size beds

Review 75:We dont like dogs in bedrooms . There were dogs there need to control them in a different area.

Review 76:We thought the friendly people very good. Also good value for 3star. also plenty of activities to do, like table tennis, darts, walks.

Review 77:The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was central to everything. Was very peaceful. Had activities for the kids to keep them occupied and most of all was the price which was very reasonable. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends.

Review 78:lack of dish washing facilities other than sink in bathroom

Review 79:refresh of room every day and large open-ness of room. large bed. with electric blanket for cold nights.

Review 80:The unit was very run down and was furnished with odds and ends of oldfurniture. The tables were covered with what looked like old off cuts ofcurtains, which had been washed and not ironed. The room needed to becleaned , as dead flies and quite a lot of black mold on the widowledges. I would have not stayed if we had arrived earlier in the day, tofind some where else for the two night accomadation. We did ask around, but as it was the wine festival most places were booked out, so we feltthat we had no option but to stay

Review 87:What a place !! It has everything.Beaut setting amongst the granite.Large and roomy.Pool,gym,laundry.Friendly.

Review 88:There was a lot of road traffic noise even in the middle of the night. Lots of truck breaks made it hard to sleep
