Reviews for L'Antico Forziere
Review 1:Nothing really. Our second visit in 6 years as good as the first.
Review 2:Small family run Inn close to Deruta, an historic old town making ceramics. It is an easy drive to Assisi. The staff are friendly & accomodating, the breakfast is excellent and the fine dining restaurant is the best in the area..
Review 3:The location near the autostrada, while convenient, was also a bit loud in the evening.
Review 4:The restaurant was a gourmet experience that was among the best we've had in Italy.
Review 5:The inn is in a stone farmhouse just outside of the Umbrian town of Deruta, where many ceramic artisans make and sell their wares. The innkeepers are a wonderful family who operate a marvelous restaurant.
Review 6:A bit noisy opening the window, as the location is near the highway. The worm breakfast could be more diverse.
Review 7:The ambience, friendliness of staff, the support of the staff concerning the visiting of Umbria area. Very sophisticated meals and nice wine card. Congratulations.
Review 8:Welcoming and friendly staff who made our stay very comfortable. My wife was 7 months pregnant and we could not have asked for a better place to relax. The pool was fantastic and the location is perfect to explore the nearby sights. The restaurant is Michelin Star quality.
Review 9:I was in the area for two amazing weeks. Hands down, the Rodella Family that owns L'AnticonForziere knows their hotel and restaurant management. My stay far exceeded my expectations. They really go far and beyond to turn a country side vacation a true relaxing experience.
Review 10:This was our second visit this year and the standards of the food and hospitality of the Rodella family makes L'Anitico Forziere well worth a visit. It is something of an oasis in and around Deruta.
Review 11:We wanted to stop off in Daruta and asked our friend where to stay andshe recommmended this place. The view and everything else was great andthis was after our two and a half week trip around Italy. Was the beststop we made. Was ad we couldn't stay longer. Best food ever.
Review 12:The food was great. The overall hospitality was great. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a quite holiday that was in a central location.
Review 13:You could hear the traffic from the main road which is very close. Not disturbing but very noticeable

Review 23:We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Location is realy ideal to discover all of Umbria and staff is charming and gives excellent advise for your journey. Dinners are outstanding, it is enjoying Italy at its best. Breakfast is complete, and they offer scramble eggs if you like. We are looking forward for an occasion to return there.
Review 24:Not a thing!
Review 25:Beautiful B n B. This is our favorite in Umbria. It is clean, welcoming, cozy and the dinners are gourmet!! We have yet to stay in the summer and use the pool and enjoy the gardens, but everything is taken care of with love. Breakfast is a lovely assortment of pastries, bread, cheese, yogurt, great ham, and they offers to scramble eggs for us!! We will go back again and again!! It is a delight!
Review 26:Quite near to a major road but this didn't really bother us. Not really a hotel for children. Best for adults touring Umbria.
Review 27:Very well run family hotel with only 9 rooms. Facilities basic (outdoor pool) but clean. Very good food (locals come from miles around to eat there). Very well located for touring Umbria. Staff very friendly and bent over backwards to help.
Review 28:The staff were friendly and gave excellent tips on sightseeing possibilities. The standard of the restaurant was superb and the desserts were amazing. We had a spacious room that was very clean and comfortable.
Review 29:When going to this part of Umbria we would not think to stay anywhere else. Comfortable rooms, very good prices, excellent and helpful family-based staff and an excellent restaurant. And talking of the restaurant this is the only one I know where you are asked to choose your dolce (dessert) when you order your antipasto and main course. But when the dessert arrives you can easily understand why --- they are works of art --- luxurious, decadent and all made to order. Oh, and the pool is good as well.
Review 30:Indeed, as some guests complain about, there is some noise from the highway, which makes it less of a rural experience. It did however NOT bother us in the rooms at all.
Review 31:Can recommend to everyone. We stayed with our 2-year old, had dinner in the restaurant while he slept upstairs, wonderfull ! The food was great, the staff super friendly.
Review 32:This is a jewel of a little hotel, tucked away in Umbria but close toDeruta, Spello, Assisi and all of the lovely little towns in the area.Rooms are quaint and comfortable and it was a real bargain. We willdefinately go back! Kay Chandler
Review 33:The place is lovely and the views are magnicicent. The restaurantoperated by the brothers offers outstanding meals. The friendlinessmakes you feel right at home.
Review 34:This charming, not to be missed, little country inn is owned andoperated by a lovely family who do their best to make you feel welcome.Samuele, who runs the front of house, truly cared about every detail ofour stay, offering excellent suggestions to help us get to see Umbria'sless known, yet incredibly beautiful sights. You can easily rent a carin Perugia (main stop, not S.G.) at the train station and drive. Gettingaround is very easy, particularly with gps. We used Google maps. The breakfast was typical, but dinners are not to be missed! We ate at the hotel every night during our stay. Don't skip dessert!
