Reviews for Hotel Villa Stanley

Review 1:Very, very nasty bathroom. Couldn't let my child take a bath in the tub. Breakfast was basic hotel stuff. Nothing interesting. I've never been in a hotel without electrical wall sockets. I mean, there were 2 behind the TV, which were already too crowded, and one in the bathroom. My devices had to take turns in the bathroom one. I understand the whole 14 century feel, but could have been better thought of. Seems they have only one cleaning lady, as it took her all day to clean the floor rooms. There always were durty sheets and stuff thrown around the hallway. The swimming pool was not working, which was a disappointment. It looked nice, though. Overal, this could have been amazing with the right menagement. We were disappointed. Didn't stay for the last day of our reservation..

Review 2:An amazing 14 century villa. Looks great, but could've been so much more. Gread drive up to the villa. Nice garden.

Review 3:Poor wi-fi connectivity Meals are slightly over priced

Review 4:Beautiful typical tuscany villa and surroundings Staff friendliness Comfort Quiet Value for money

Review 5:Really old rooms. The bathroom was filthy, such a dirty bathroom its unacceptable, even in a 1 star hotel. We were 4 and only got 2 towels daily, even when we requested 4. Beware of the 4 € tax per person per night. Its a "robbery" which is not included in the room's price.

Review 6:Beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Free parking. Helpful staff.

Review 7:Gli asciugamani per la doccia sono piccoli.

Review 8:L'hotel è immerso in un parco fresco e ben curato con un ampio parcheggio gratis. In estate la colazione nel parco merita.

Review 9:Could wish for better wi-fi connection.

Review 10:Reception was very supportive and lenience. The big garden is priceless. Love that the hotel is villa with its history. The breakfast was tasty.

Review 11:Wi-fi was intermittent in room. Website stated there was airport shuttle and shuttle to Florence, neither were available during our stay.

Review 12:Setting, location, room cleanliness, pleasant staff.

Review 13:Advertised wi-fi virtually non-existent in rooms. Limited choice in Restaurant and noisy, particularly at breakfast (OK if you like loud Italian radio). Waiting staff could be more attentive. Beware of leaving key at reception - they were left openly on the desk on one occasion. Could so easily be much better.

Review 14:Lovely old Villa buildings. If you get one of the first floor rooms with a decorated ceiling then it feels like it should or could be something special. Easy and cheap access into City centre by bus.

Review 15:A few more services should be available in a 4* hotel:there is no ironing board for example. Food and drinks not purchased at the bar are not allowed by the pool. Also, reception staff is a little bit slack, not too attentive.

Review 16:The restaurant is excellent. The swimming pool is a nice touch, you don't get many so near to Florence. Rooms are very spacious and very nicely decorated.

Review 17:Enjoyed the location, adjacent to a castle and a magnificent view of the Alps.

Review 18:need coffee in room

Review 19:Good location

Review 20:it was easy 30 mins bus ride from Florence, easy to drive to Sienna & Pisa and they had a great pool & grounds

Review 21:Room was dirty. Totally different then in the pictures. Service disappointed. Not recommended to anybody

Review 22:Totally disappointed with everything

Review 23:WiFi inesistente nella parte nuova, camera non curata, la richiesta di poter pagare la sera prima del check out non è stata accolta.

Review 24:Il posteggio

Review 25:Wifi signal was poor, at least in my room. I had to stend almost by the door to be able to get online.

Review 26:The structure is nice. It has cable tv.

Review 27:Cleanliness - my children got insect bites all over Food was terribly expensive - not the right value for money

Review 28:Nothing really

Review 29:When booking this resort i had chosen outdoor pool as an option which it had but there was no comment to say it would not be open until June and as this was part of my main criteria i was not able to use it. Breakfast did not include fresh juice only squash.

Review 30:The venue is beautiful and location is good from the airport.

Review 31:Pure breakfast Moskito Hotel organize parties (birthday ets) due to that we wasn't able to sleep till 1.00 a.m. Rooms need to be renovated

Review 32:Good location and green territory.

Review 33:The air conditioning a little noisy, one can ask for it to be turned off at night.

Review 34:I loved the peace and quiet after the middle of Florence. The stately house and grounds. The little chapel, in memory of its owner, There is also swimming pool, and a mini bar. A very nice restaurant, friendly staff. We would visit this hotel again, its near the Florence airport. You need to take a taxi from the centre, but its worth it.

Review 35:We were misled about the availability of the advertised shuttle bus into Florence, which was not working whilst we were there, and we could not get wireless internet in our room - meaning we had to move to the reception area to use the internet.

Review 36:It was comfortable and quiet

Review 37:Breakfast staff (females only) slow, lethargic and not very happy. No air conditioning that could be controlled to cool room down only heat it up via reception. Was told that air con did not function at all by reception manager. Pool not available for use as no life in attendance. He was being employed on 4th June, alledgedly as that is the day we left!! Also they don't open pool until 2nd week into June as the license from Florence council is not granted until then I was told. Tennis court not available as not enough customers to warrant it's use until later on in their summer time I was told, plus it was covered in leaves and moss anyhow. No packed breakfast available if going out on day trips, even if 2 days notice given. Shuttle bus always booked up for 08:00 hrs departure as it was always business people that commandeered it to go to the station for the whole week and supposedly they required 1 days notice to book for the next day. Preference for local business people given over tourists it seemed. Rooms not cleaned thoroughly at least once a month, but cleaned daily - sparingly. All ornate bedsteds dirty and dusty, as was the wardrobes especially on top of it. there must have been 6 months worth of dust on it. Not enough storage space for a family room for four people - one old style wardrobe with one rail and 6 coat hangers and 2 bedside cabinets. It is the only holiday where my clean clothes remained in the suitcase to stay clean.

Review 38:Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms reasonably spacious. Beds made up daily. Bath linen changed daily if required. Quiet location.

Review 39:However the lack of tea/ coffee maker/ kettle in the room was a negative especially with my younger son taking formulae milk and required boiled water.

Review 40:The room we stayed was very pleasant and spacious. The restaurant serves tasteful food but is expensive. There is coop in the area from where you can replenish your staples if you are traveling for a long duration. This place is convenient if you are traveling by your own vehicle.

Review 41:Advertised airport shuttle doesn't run until 9:00am, useless and required a 25euro cab ride. Misleading note about shuttle. Too far from any services. Small limited menu from onsite restaurant. WiFi did not work in the hotel rooms

Review 42:Free hotel shuttle to Florence booked for 08:45 did not arrive until09:15. Could not collect us from Florence as hotel was busy with twoweddings. They tried to recover the situation by explaining which busesto use for return journey. As it turned out we spent more time inFlorence than first antisipated, therefore best option is to take thebus for the return journey. My moan Is a point of principle, if youoffer a service then deliver.

Review 43:A very nice hotel situated in own grounds with an excellent swimmingpool. Food was first class. Easy reach to centre of Florence, even bypublic transport. If you are visiting Florence and do not wish to residein the noisey city, this is the hotel for you.

Review 44:The only fault I could fine was that I found a few long black hairs inthe bathtub, which was disturbing to me. That said, however, the rest ofthe bathroom and bedroom were very clean.

Review 45:The hotel and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The restaurant waswonderful, and the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Wewould definitely stay here again.

Review 46:the noise inside the buildings (you can hear all what is happening in the rooms next of yours or in the adjacent corridors) / high level of humidity in the rooms

Review 47:the park / the size of the rooms / breakfast room

Review 48:Nice place with good sized rooms, but a little tired --- could do with a refurb. Restaurant was OK but nothing special. A bit far from Firenze if that is your main reason for going to the area.

Review 49:Former 'grand' family home with extensive grounds now turned into a hotel. We specifically wanted to visit Sesto Fiorentino so it worked well for us. Ample free parking (not common in hotels closer to Firenze). Friendly and helpful staff. There was a wedding on the weekend we were there and we were allocated a room in the adjoining block (where the restaurant is also located) which reduced any disturbance.

Review 50:Poor shower Poor bar service Breakfast staff v slow to replace items on the buffet

Review 51:Nice big bedroom and bed

Review 52:Wifi and air conditioning can be improved.

Review 53:I enjoyed the style, food and quietness. Also staff is very friendly. The place is great.

Review 54:the rooms are not the same as the pictures on booking. The water pressure was very low.

Review 55:The restaurant stuff and the breakfast
