Reviews for Villino Eleonora

Review 1:There is no parking space inside the property but the host provided us quite safe parking opposite to the villa.

Review 2:We appreciated the hospitality of the host and their family members. They are very friendly and kind. Healthy breakfast were home- made stuffs the host carefully made for us each morning were different and very delicious.

Review 3:The rooms were a bit noisy, you could hear the other guests, traffic and trains.

Review 4:Allesandro and his family were all delightful and helpful, and the breakfast - different every day was amazing. Great location with a beautiful view, just a 5 minute drive to Tropea and a 10 minute walk to the local beach.

Review 5:Fantastic breakfast Nice garden Very good wifi, even in the garden Excellent location to visit beaches in and around Tropea (you need a car). Good local restaurant within walking distance (5 minutes).

Review 6:The bed&breakfast is located just near a big road and the railway. It is noisy.

Review 7:Nice garden, very nice family running the bed&breakfast, great breakfast

Review 8:Nice, clean and friendly! The owner of the hotel meets you there, he shows the room himself and helps to bring breakfast to the terrace. Every room has it's own place for breakfast, it's really wonderful and make you feel gorgeous!)

Review 9:Well appointed a d superbly clean rooms with private terrace where we were served a delicious breakfast each morning prepared by Alessandro's mother. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival.

Review 10:An exceptional place to stay. Charming & helpful hosts, comfortable rooms with a private patio and the most amazingly tasty & filling breakfasts.

Review 11:Right on the road and 20m from the railroad - it's really uncomfortable to sleep. Not the real sea view. Very cold in the room where the breakfast is served in March.

Review 12:Hospitality, good breakfast. Nice room with 2 bathrooms and 3 patio!

Review 13:It is close to Tropea, but there is not a safe walking route so you do need a car if you want to go there. This is nit-picky, but unfortunately, the lovely views of the water and Stomboli are interrupted by train overhead wires so you have to walk downhill quite a way if you want to take really good photos.

Review 14:The rooms and the gardens are lovely and quiet. The breakfasts are outstanding, served outdoors whenever the weather permits. The host is very pleasant and helpful.

Review 15:the hosts were very friendly, nice and delightful the breakfasts were over the moon - great fresh ingredients, novel combinations of ingredients the rooms were beautiful and comfortable... the bathrooms large, clean and modern the Sea views breathtaking and calming this was a perfect stay in a perfect place

Review 16:Nothing

Review 17:Our host, Allesandro, was charming and very helpful. The grounds of the B&B were beautiful. Most of all, the breakfast served outside our room in the garden was absolutely the best we had during a month stay in Italy. Our room was a bit small but very comfortable. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We were so happy we stayed here rather than in Tropea which is very touristy and loud.

Review 18:We recently stayed 4 nights at Villino Eleonora and we had a wonderful time. Starting with the owners, a very nice family, who made us feel part of their family. The rooms are spacious, with a private patio where we were served our breakfast in the morning. If it gets cool or it's raining, breakfast is served in their home. Parghelia is 2 km from Tropea. But I found that it was much quieter to stay in Parghelia. Tropea is beautiful but very busy and parking is very difficult. It was nice to get back to our place at night and just breath in the peace and quiet. The grounds are well kept and there is parking just outside the door. Our stay at Villino Elenonora was everything we were looking for.

Review 19:Great location just outside the hustle and bustle of Tropea. Host is committed to staying as optimal as possible. Congratulations for this B&B and hope to come back again!

Review 20:Nothing to dislike.

Review 21:Charming B&B with a lovely garden and setting, delightful and helpful owners, loved eating a nice, hot breakfast out in the garden, and it was great having our own room our in the garden area.

Review 22:At first I was taken back when we arrived and were escorted through a narrow driveway to the four bungalows built off the garden of a 100 year old family villa. The hotel is conviently located just a short drive from Tropea. Our room turned out to be comfortable and quiet. Breakfast on our private patio was lovely - a nice presentation of fresh fruit, croissants and homemade jams. The Melograna family was lovely. In general, the Villino is a great place off the beaten path. Abbiamo stato bene trattato.

Review 23:Satellite TV on Hotbird

Review 24:Kindness of owner. Elegance of breakfast. The private patio.

Review 25:very friendly and welcoming staff. beautiful property, fantastic fresh and very large breakfast served on our patio in a pretty garden.

Review 26:wifi as patchy and not all rooms had a sea view.

Review 27:the homemade breakfast was fabulous!

Review 28:Alessandro was an excellent host and made everything possible to make our stay splendid.

Review 29:Great food!!!!

Review 30:Quiet spacious villa with private patio and garden.

Review 31:Bed sheets a bit too rough

Review 32:Excellent breakfast Very polite and helpful owners

Review 33:Wifi was not existing

Review 34:Amazing host, garden, breakfast and location

Review 35:We booked this place as we read about the good reviews and true enough...the breakfast are excellent (great cooked breakfast), served at your own terrace and overlooking the sea. Though it is not in Tropea itself (walking distance away), the local beach here is more genuine, (ie not filled with beach umbrellas). Most importantly, the hosts are really warm and friendly. All rooms have their own private terraces with the seaview. The property is set in a big compound with a lovely garden and with the mountain behind. Simply a lovely B&B, set with class and elegance.

Review 36:Sadly another guest, an old man entertaining a young woman, refused to move from the room especially set up for disabled people because he wanted the larger bathroom! He made things very difficult for the host!

Review 37:The ambiance was excellent, the breakfast was great. Close to bars and cafes. The hosts were very obliging because my wife is disabled and they went the extra mile and did everything they possibly could.

Review 38:Silvana was most helpful in that she drove me to show the best routes to the seafront & into Tropea. The breakfasts were delicious, with delicious fresh fruit, croissants & plenty of good coffee! We had one of the rooms in the annexe which was clean & comfortable. Alessandro, the host & Silvana's son, was charming and helpful. There is a lovely family atmosphere in the main house. The location is perfect for visitng Tropea, which is a very pretty town with lots of good restaurants! It is also well placed for a trip to Scilla & Pizzo is only 15km away where you have to go for the famous tartuffo ice-cream!

Review 39:The mattresses were really, really hard. Some people might like that, we didn't so much (back hurts). Unfortunately the nice house is right next to 2 quite frequented streets. Our room was very small - with 2 suitcases in it it was packed.

Review 40:The breakfast ( on your own private terrace!) was excellent!! Alessandro is a really good cook and really friendly. He speaks very good english. His mother is also very nice! Nice house with a nice garden.

Review 41:Wi-fi was spotty at best. Getting the car through the gate was tricky.

Review 42:The place was very unique. The breakfast was truly amazing in the courtyard each morning. Staff very friendly. The cost was very reasonable. I would stay there again without hesitation. The main house was worth seeing as well, something out of history.

Review 43:What a beautiful place to stay and excellent breakfast. Everything was perfect. It's a pity we stayed only one night. I'm sure we will come back. Villa is near Tropea and other places, walking distance to restaurants etc. Alessandro is very helpful and make you feel like you don't want to leave at all. Our dog was also happy. Calabria is good place to visit. Grazie mille!

Review 44:The location is not the best if you are travelling by public transport.

Review 45:My stay here was amazing! The staff were very welcoming, and my room was very clean and well sized. The breakfast was fantastic!

Review 46:I do not recommend visiting Tropea and surroundings in the off season. For some reason, every restaurant in the small town of this B & B was closed on our one night there, and Tropea was deserted. It was difficult to find a place that was serving dinner.

Review 47:Host Allesandro was very helpful. The breakfast, served in your choice of your outdoor terrace or in the glorious old home of his family, was exceptionally good. Choosing to have breakfast in the wonderful old villa was a very special experience.

Review 48:The neighbourhood dogs that bark all night and without good sound insulation in the rooms they really disrupted our sleep. Both of us do not understand how the locals cope with it.

Review 49:Lovely rooms with beautiful outside areas to sit in and great hosts. Superb breakfasts - absolutely excellent. Easy and free to park.

Review 50:Great location with views of the sea and Tropea nearby. Hospitable owners who do their best to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. They cook a breakfast for you according to your requests. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I was out of season and the only guest, but received all the welcoming.

Review 51:The whole family made me feel so welcome. Sylvana outdid herself with creative breakfasts each day. The room was very comfortable and I loved staying here. If you are going to Parghelia this is the place to stay.

Review 52:We were delightfully taken back in time of grandeur staying at this beautiful B&B. The accommodations are separate from the main villa, with your own patio to sit and watch the view. The garden was peaceful and relaxing to walk in, Alessandro and his mother cooked the best breakfast that we had on our trip. Fruits, eggs, french toast omelette's, sweets, juices etc. with homemade jams. Everyday was a surprise as it was a different breakfast laid before us. We ate under the pogoda with colourful linen table cloths and napkins that changed daily. It was a 5 minute drive to Tropea and its beaches. We would definately stay here again

Review 53:The only problem we had was finding the B&B because our GPS took us through the back roads instead of keeping us on the main roads.

Review 54:The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast served was homemade and absolutely delicious. The B&B was close to the town and beaches. I would definitely stay at this B&B again.

Review 55:The breakfasts were the most outstanding part of our stay. Every morning was an exciting adventure. So much fresh fruit, cheeses, breads, and jams. The creativity of the meals , the variety and quantitiy were amazing!

Review 56:Everything was top class, from the welcome to the breakfast, we weremade to feel very welcome. We left with the impression that nothingwould be too much trouble, and wished we had stayed for longer.

Review 57:Notice there is a 30min walking distance to Tropea city.

Review 58:Highly recommended spot for a relaxing vacation. Welcoming family, making every effort to make your stay enjoyable. It is noticeable they love what they do, and take it seriously Great homemade breakfast.

Review 59:The place is very authentic and very pretty. The owner is doing a great job, great breakfasts at the time you select. Looking forward to going back

Review 60:Everything was fine.

Review 61:Stayed there for 4 days. Villino Eleonora is a pretty cool and classy place on the edge of small town of Parghelia. Territory is shared between owner's villa and house with rooms for rent. Hotel is located high above the sea, and overlooking part of Tropea and sea itself. Hotel grounds are green, have dome high trees, sunbeds, lounges, etc. and small playground for kids. Tropea is close, a few minutes by car, and also reachable by walk. Beach is also in walking distance, but don't make a mistake - it's not a beach hotel, you have to walk, I think, about 15 minutes by common road and beach is not private. Parghelia is close and have some nice pizzerias and restaurants (host - Alessandro - will keep you informed about it). Cafe with ice cream is across the small bridge from the hotel. Rooms are very clean, well furnished, have own patios/terraces with fancy garden chairs and sun umbrellas. Room service is good, there are enough showels, cleaning is conducted every day. WiFi is available on the territory but could be weak in the room most distant from main villa. Breakfast is good, we may be expected even more luxurious one, but this was good too. This place is quite different from beach residences with their sometimes noizy fun and also provides quiet and relaxing shelter after visiting crowded streets of Tropea. Being there is a very exciting experience, have a bottle of good wine there in the night while recalling your favorite poems - and you will get it.

Review 62:There was a bit of noise from the road and train nearby.

Review 63:Exellent breakfast served on our private terrace. Thanks to Alessandro and his mother for their warm and friedly welcome and excellent tips for restaurants nearby

Review 64:very friendly owner, not far to tropea, the best breakfast we had in italy:-), garden

Review 65:Very friendly family who made you feel welcome, Home cooked breakfast was very good

Review 66:nothing...

Review 67:big garden, sea view, kind man, extraordinary breakfast!

Review 68:The room and garden setting. The Breakfast.

Review 69:Very private and friendly. Breakfasts were amazing. Lots of different Calabrian dishes. Wonderful to place to chill out and relax.

Review 70:A bit too close to two streets

Review 71:Nice garden, kid friendly Good value for money Beautiful house Welcoming, friendly hosts

Review 72:there was nothing to dislike.

Review 73:helpfulness and friendliness of the owners, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable rooms and stunning breakfasts.

Review 74:Great room, fabulous breakfast, beautiful garden

Review 75:A nice villa with friendly host and great breakfast. The 19 century house and the old fashion, stylish library is impressive
