Reviews for B&B La Casa Del Poeta Enna

Review 1:Wifi wasn't working, was a bit out of the way and Pergusa is nothing much to look at.

Review 2:Very comfortable and spacious rooms, easy parking, helpful and friendly staff.

Review 3:One of the lovliest hotels I've ever been to. Wonderfully decorated, tasteful design, hundred of little creative details to discover and to smile about. The surrounding nature ist stunning and looks absolutely marvellous. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was lovely - I can't wait to go back!

Review 4:Nothing bad to report.

Review 5:Clean, spacious rooms, lovely pool, great kitchen facilities, delicious breakfast, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We both loved it.

Review 6:The setting is bucolic but not spectacular. It's more than a skip and a jump into Enna itself.

Review 7:When we booked our stay, I mentioned I can't eat wheat. Guess what was part of the extensive breakfast? Gluten free: bread AND cookies!

Review 8:Could have been even better in middle of countryside. No lunch or dinner organized although possible to use kitchen and cook. Wifi can loose connection sometimes.

Review 9:Holliday house with access to kitchen and facilities. We could ask to make a washing machine for our clothes and they very nicely helped us. Good cosi breakfast served at the table with eggs, fruits, croissants, ham, capucino or very good tea... Two long table are shared between residents and help to create connection with other travellers. Comfortable room with nice designed items, modern bathrooms, very comfortable bed and linen. Overall good atmosphere and nice people.

Review 10:Everything was tops. Thank you to that wonderful man who takes care of the b and b because he made our stay so good. The cleanest place that I have ever been to. Great breakfast too.

Review 11:A lovely rural villa with beautiful surroundings. The staff and owner could not have been sweeter. Each room has its own character, artistic and literary. Breakfasts were excellent. Not far from Enna and even closer to the small town of Pergusa.

Review 12:We booked this B&B for the last night of our holiday in Sicily because it would be easier to travel from here to Catania airport. Little did we know how beautiful a place we would find. About 10 minutes outside of the gorgeous mountaintown Enna with stunning views over Sicily this B&B is decorated with so much love and care. The staff is extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was exceptional and the rooms were more like suites: very spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. We really wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back some day!

Review 13:La décoration très belle L'endroit est calme et tranquille. Parfait pour passer un moment de détente Le petit déjeuner est parfait Les chambre sont très spacieuses La vue sur la campagne est magnifique

Review 14:Could have done with a sofa or chairs in the upstairs room. Excellent big room but only one rocking chair to sit on.

Review 15:Staff very pleasant and helpful. Ambience about the place.

Review 16:The sun parasols were broken and did not work.

Review 17:The setting was lovely. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of food and good quality. It was also well sign posted and easy to find.

Review 18:- lack of soundproof.. you try to be really quiet all the time to not to disturb other rooms but it's very annoying.. - location.. not on the gps.. far from the center.. - wifi didn't work - no tv in the rooms - breakfast.. the only good thing was coffee.. - different experience.. but you'd like to know it's not an ordinary place, before staying there..

Review 19:lovely look from outside helpful staff

Review 20:We missed the opportunity to cook ourselves, but very nice restaurants nearby Much noise from dogs barking at night at the neighbours ( - but apparently, that just how it is on the Sicily coutryside ;-)

Review 21:Interiør and surrounding were amazing and picturesque. Staff were outstanding friendly and serviceminded. The pool area is very beautifull and alltogether just and amazing place to stay. A bit too the expensive side, but worth every penny...

Review 22:Some tiny weaknesses not worth mentioning.

Review 23:Excellent service, great interior design to the last detail, beautiful landscape.

Review 24:Breathtaking views and surroundings

Review 25:Stunning b&b, decor, breakfast, pool, all wonderful.

Review 26:poetry on the walls poetry in the tree and everything else

Review 27:The stairs to the top floor.

Review 28:The staff were very good.

Review 29:The decor, the bedrooms, the swimming pool, the breakfast, the tranquility

Review 30:locatie, design, grote kamer, erg goed ontbeet, vriendelijk personeel

Review 31:Breakfast wasn't as good as expected.

Review 32:Great location super house and artwork.

Review 33:Beautiful spot in the countryside. Nice staff and lovely breakfast.

Review 34:The quiet, the poems, the access to the kitchen, the excellent breakfast, our fellow guests

Review 35:Dogs barked all night in derelict factory site nearby

Review 36:Proximity to Roman villa and Hades

Review 37:The wifi connection was a bit poor.

Review 38:The tranquillity and the design of the houses. Stuff most attentive and helpful. Breakfast particularly good.

Review 39:Very quite and confortable place. Excelente typical Sicilian breakfast !!!

Review 40:The town centre nearby was not so appetising.

Review 41:Amazing B&B. Up to the minute restoration of an older property. Wow factor.

Review 42:very nice individual bed- and bathrooms, beautiful location of the outdoor pool, nice garden, great breakfast

Review 43:We couldn't stay longer ...

Review 44:One of the best and coolest places we have seen in Sicily.

Review 45:The staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble. Beautifully decorated with a gentle restful family feel. Excellent swimming pool.

Review 46:Nothing i didn 't like!

Review 47:Beautiful area. Very quiet. Very clean house, good breakfast, attentive hosts. Large rooms.

Review 48:A very unique place to relax

Review 49:interior design, size of the rooms

Review 50:This is a beautiful farm house which was renovated to a high standard. Staff spoke English which is rare in Sicily. And was very helpful and informative.

Review 51:The dogs barking in the early morning was disturbing the sleep.

Review 52:Excellent location and views. The interior design is outstanding. Excellent Service. We felt like Lord and Lady in their countryside manor house. Enough room to an own private spot.

Review 53:Unfortunately booking.com advised the hotel that 4 people would be accommodated at E160 total. In fact what we booked were 2 interleading rooms for a maximum of 4 (not for 4!). The hotel was kind enough to reduce our bill to E120, although still rather expensive for that area. Secondly, the breakfast was poor. Lots of sweet buscuits, only one (dull) type of cheese, no meat or eggs; extremely disappointing. With great fresh produce and fantastic dairy products everywhere available, I just don't understand why some hotels don't take advantage of this. Laziness and possibly cost-savings perhaps. What a pity.

Review 54:The setting is gentle and beautiful: in a rural spot outside the otherwise uninspiring modern village of Pergusa, but convenient for and close to Enna and Piazza Amerina (by car). Accommodation in what feels like a stylish and modern farm house is rather quirky. Beds are very low on the floor: not convenient or practical. Lots of interesting books everywhere, but only in Italian. This is rather a pity if your Italian is not up to that level!

Review 55:Loved the location of our B & B. The decor was lovely, a little different, but just right for the ambience of the place. If we were to come again to Sicily, would definitely make a booking here top priority!!

Review 56:Very welcoming, relaxing environment . Carefully designed to complement the character of the building. Good breakfast and everything spotlessly clean. Recommend without reservation.

Review 57:Bit difficult to find, perhaps email a map to clients as address not on sat nav.

Review 58:Really helpful and friendly staff. Lovely location with views over countryside. Amazing designer touches everywhere, too many to mention. Super pool.

Review 59:A little scary to be there alone, but it was fine. If you have mobilityissues, this is not the place for you - lots of stairs, and thefantastic bathroom has 10 stairs: 2 to the toilet, 2 more to the bidet, and 3 more to the shower. Not for children, either! The other suiteshave "normal" bathrooms, and one has a separate child'sroom as well, just be sure to get the right one.

Review 60:What a fantastic place, in the true sense of the word. Outside, a lovelycountry home, manicured grounds and gorgeous pool. Inside, a fantasy ofmodernity and erudition focusing on poetry, literature and the arts. Thebathroom of my suite is the most interesting one I've ever seen. Thestaff was very helpful and accommodating, even though I was the onlyguest that night. Breakfast was excellent, usual Italian with fruit, rolls, yogurt, etc. Stovetop coffee, not espresso, but ok.

Review 61:It was difficult to handle the shower and it was to warm in our room at night (no airco and we had the room under the roof).

Review 62:The staff was really friendly and helpful, our room was big and ofcourse the swimmingpool!

Review 63:the breakfast was a bit limited.

Review 64:very creative design in the rooms, good bed, fantastic view. We loved the staff. They were very helpful. The surroundings are peaceful. We didn't have any problems with noise from dogs, the swimming pool was open and nice.

Review 65:Massivley overpriced for what they provide.Breakfast was very minimal and basic compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The room did not have a TV or wardrobe or any spare pillows. The doors to the room cannot be locked so there is no real security. Shower was only about 5ft 8 off the ground so not ideal for people of normal height. Toilet bowl fitted to back wall but makes noises as though it is going to fall off the wall when sat on. Pool small and the Olive grove is supposedly sits within is two Olive tress of which one is dead. The sun loungers were all falling apart and the sun mats were not clean. Paint on the windows peeling. It advertises itself as a place of peace and tranquility but there is a well known and long established (guide books words) formula 3000 racing circuit within half a mile so there was no peace and tranquility. No meal or bar facilities on site. How can this possibly be a 4 star hotel and warrant the price that we were charged. Complete rip off.

Review 66:I can honestly say that the family did not like any of this Hotel

Review 67:There was scaffolding around the main house. The shutters andscaffolding squeaking in the wind kept us up all night. The jackhammersat 10:00 the next morning drove us away.

Review 68:We were greated nicely. The decorating is fun if not comfortable. The staff did move us to their other property when we insisted on leaving the "construction site".

Review 69:Very personal service and very nice staff. Rooms are uniquely decorated and well fitted; every room is different; we had the room under the roof. A place to chill-out.

Review 70:Piece of art in every detail . Very frindly staff NIce surrondings for those who value quiet atmosphere for rest and relax

Review 71:We loved everything there. It is a unique experience. If you would miss this B&B when on Sicily, you'd made a big mistake!

Review 72:Excellent!!!

Review 73:pool is not heated and was still too cold for us to swim in June.

Review 74:homemade croisants for breakfast, beautiful location, very quiet
