Hotel East China Sea sells fast on our site. Located right on the waterfront, Hotel East China Sea offers Japanese-style and Western rooms with a private terrace overlooking the blue ocean waters. It features a buffet restaurant, a drying room for diving gear and free Wi-Fi at the lobby.
The East China Sea Hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the Ferry Terminal and the shopping centre Euglena Mall. Ishigaki Airport is a 30-minute drive.
All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and sea views, an LCD TV and yukata robes. The serene Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding on a Ryukyu-style tatami (woven-straw) floor, which features square tatami mats. Western rooms feature tiled flooring, and a limited number of routers are available for free wired internet.

Review 1：if a ver light sleeper, you might be woken up early by the sounds of the boats in the port terminal as it is right behind the hotel.

Review 2：Very easy to find as clse to Port and Bus terminal, Convinient as in the centre of town, clean, has everything you need, polite and helpful staff.

Review 3：The actual hotel building isnt maintained as well as the rooms but is still quite clean.

Review 4：Its right in the middle of the city and is close to the nightlife and the good restaurants. Its close to convenience stores and car rental shops. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

Review 5：It is located at the Ishigaki port, it can be convenient if you like busy place. If not, it is better to locate in some smaller hotels. It can also be a bit noisy when, from 6 am, the boats start their traffic.

Review 7：building is too old, you can see your room door has erosion of sea wind. If you booked breakfast but unable to have it due to some reason, you can not have packaged breakfast instead. Lots of hotels offers such services according to my travel experience. Front-desk can speak limited english. Tatami rooms only locate on 2nd floor where you can see limited see view and noisy outside. The worse is, air condition in room is super noisy and unable to turn it down. Totally unable to sleep.

Review 18：The hotel itself is very run down, feels faded, rusting doors. It's a convenient place as a base near the port but I wouldn't advise spending any significant time here. No WiFi in rooms. Bed is very hard which doesn't bother me but may bother others.

Staff had enough English ability to help when needed and were very friendly. Has coin laundry for 300yen a cycle and a drier for 100yen/30mins. I think they have free bikes to use but we didnt get time to use them.

Review 22：Not value for money because hotel quite rundown + no Japanese communal bath (onsen) + washing / drying machines are located at the backyard outside the hotel which need to request for key from the counter + washing machine too expensive (¥300-00) eventhough drying machine is normal charge (¥100-00).

Review 23：Panoramic harbour view. Majestic sunset. Next to downtown where restaurants & shops are located. Few minutes slow walk to terminal for island hopping cruises. Tables & chairs at ground floor with free wifi & welcome drinks. Diving equipments area convenient for divers.

Review 77：Very convenient location right next to the ferry port, bus terminal and main town. We had views of the sea and port from our balcony! The staff were very helpful and lovely, and the room had everything we needed. We wanted a double but only twin rooms were available, but we were able to slide the beds together and make a super huge bed!

Review 79：The hotel is right in front of the port, and all rooms are facing it. Nice view. Few minutes by walk from the main streets of Ishigaki with restaurants and bars. Buffet Breakfast had a lot of choice but mainly Japanese food. Quality wa so-so, however the mango juice was one of the highlight!

Review 80：WiFi is really weak in the room. But there is a common area (with plenty of tables and chairs) on the first floor where the WiFi is strong and stable. Bathroom is not very big. Room has very good view of the sea but is very hot in the afternoon.

Review 81：Location - very close to both the bus and ferry terminals (approx 5 min by foot); there is a car rental company nearby for easy rental and return of the car if you do not want to do so at the airport. Some staff can speak English very well and you can leave your luggage at the front desk. Rooms are cleaned daily.
