Reviews for Albergo Villa Sorriso

Review 1:The bathroom could be somewhat bigger.

Review 2:We loved the abundant breakfast made by our hosts. The location of the place is excellent for those who are visiting Florence.

Review 3:Considering I was out most of the time and spent very little time at the hotel, I had everything I needed and the staff were very hospitable and welcoming. The view on the terrace was great and would be lovely to have your morning cup of coffee there. The location in Fiesole is just a couple of minutes walk from the town square where there are buses taking you to the city in Florence. There is an ATM cash machine next door to the entrance and a grocery store across the street which is very convenient. The cafe's are really nice and the market on the weekend was great for picking up souvenirs. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Review 4:Very good location: there is a supermarket store directly opposite to the hotel and a 5-minute walk down the road to Fiesole's main bus station. Owner is helpful and hospitable. The breakfast area gives a very "home" feel and pleasing atomsphere. It has fantastic open-air view over the hills! There was a heat wave that weekend, but the room's air-conditioning worked very well. Clean and tidy room + bed. Functional shower and Wi-fi (WLAN).

Review 5:Bed was quite firm.

Review 6:Absolutely beautiful view of Florence! Close to everything, staff is friendly and accommodating. Might not be best for seniors as there are quite a few steps to climb in and out. Overall, the best place to stay in Fiesole for budget conscious travelers. Would definitely stay there again!

Review 7:This is fine as an old-fashioned pensione: informal but friendly host, simple rooms around an outside terrazza with a nice view over the valley behind Fiesole. It's not a glamorous or even a boutique hotel, but as an Italian pensione in the old style it is good value.

Review 8:parking very far from hotel. not appropriate for anyone with a handicap.

Review 9:breakfast was an excellent value. staff very friendly and helpful. location is very close to center of town and everything within close walking distance

Review 10:The bathroom had no toilet paper, but there was some in the shared linen closet.

Review 11:The owner was so nice, he even gave me one of the little ladybug decorations as a souvenir. And his mother cooked pasta and made a coffee for me (at no extra charge).

Review 12:A great little spot up in the clouds over looking Florence. The lady, who spoke no English was very obliging and helpful and jumped in our car to show us where the free parking was. Great view from our bedroom window. Breakfast was basic but adequate, the room was comfortable. In all we enjoyed our stay.

Review 13:The shower in the bathroom took a bit of getting used to but it was fine. That's why they didn't score excellent on facilities but the people and place made up for that.

Review 14:The owners and the location. Beautiful views. Very friendly family, able to use their frig. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The longer we stayed, the more we loved it here.

Review 15:parking was not convenient

Review 16:beautiful views, people were outstanding and had excellent service with homemade touches. Location of our accommodation was very near the Etruscan historical site. Also it was very close to restaurants and bars Roberto went out of his way to assist us with the parking and any concerns

Review 17:Breakfast was excellent - included hot ham and cheese, croissants, yogurt and Mama's homemade jam. The panoramic view from the terrace is breath-taking. Excellent location close to the bus stop, but quiet. Could hear the concerts from the nearby Roman Forum - for free.

Review 18:The owner is really simpatic...You feel like at home... And the terrace is fantastic...

Review 19:Ahower

Review 23:Fiesole.

Review 24:Serena and her mother were charming and the breakfast just perfect to start the day. The view from the dining area is superb and the area very peaceful. Fiesole was an ideal location to visit Florence, it's only 20 minutes away by bus.

Review 25:No parking close to the hotel, no elevator to the rooms. WIFI signal was weak!

Review 26:The hotel is near the center of Fiesole and close to Florence. there is a little super-market very close to the hotel. The view from the hotel balcony was amazing. The staff was nice, but talked only Italian.

Review 27:the room, the bath and it didn't have what was described ( as TV) Shaggy place, very old and badly kept

Review 28:breakfast was good, but ouside, cold and miserable

Review 29:This is a lovely old house in a very pretty town in the hills just outside Florence. Its quiet, friendly and comfortable, and the views are simply stunning. I thought this was really good value for money. You can catch a regular bus intot he centre of Florence from just down the road.

Review 30:The owner does only speak Italian. But she was indeed very helpful!

Review 31:The owner does only speak Italian. But she was indeed very helpful! Much better than I expected a one-star hotel!!

Review 32:A great place to stay, loved the panorama from my window, the kindness of the owners and the fabulous big balcony. Will definitely return when again in Fiesole.

Review 33:The heat of Firenze, but there's a bit to see in Fiesole...

Review 34:Fiesole, the terrace "garden", the restaurant down the road with a view of the Firenze Duomo. The slightly cool breezes....next to supermarket and Bancomat.

Review 35:Noisy (building is situated between two busy streets). Bathroom not more than purely functional. We only ever saw one staff member (owner?) who did not speak any English.

Review 36:The view from bedroom window and the good mattress. Spacious room.

Review 37:Bathroom has shower over toilet. Internet is a bit weak.

Review 38:Owners are lovely. View from the room is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Fiesole is a beautiful peacefull village with amazing views , worth the travel out from Florence.

Review 39:Everything! Older lady (Mum) is a charming helpful lady who provides the best collection breakfast in Italy. She is very engaging although she speaks only Italian we understood every word. Gustavo the cat is nuts! I recommend you stay there and get room 1 for the view!!

Review 40:The village of Fiesole at this time of year is peaceful and friendly. There are interesting buildings and archaeological remains. There is beautiful countryside around and some good walks, as well as breathtaking views of Florence.. There was a very good exhibition of modern sculpture in the main piazza. The transport into Florence is excellent - frequent and quick.

Review 41:Great location, the terrace is amazing and the view is beautiful. The family owning the place are so friendly! Have the breakfast, it's lovely.

Review 42:Excellent value accommodation in this very friendly family run business.

Review 43:Breakfast with lots of different home-made jams and freshly produced bruschetta.

Review 44:Lack of facilities, information, ensuite was a big plastic box in the room, difficult to see how or whether breakfast was available

Review 45:Good location
