Reviews for Nun Assisi Relais & Spa Museum
Review 1:It would have been better to have a nespresso machine in the room. Internet connection did not work properly. Spa opens at 10am
Review 2:Exvellent spa, very nice hotel as the old mobastery has been renovated wuth great care and attention for detail
Review 3:We had Suite 9. Stairs to bedroom were noisy and for me dangerous. Didn't really like the two level suite arrangement with e stairs.suitcases in different places and the bathroom upstairs.
Review 4:Restaurant was very good as was location, out of the way, but near bus to basilica and interurban bus to Perugia. Bed was very comfortable. Room rather stark but reasonably comfortable. Spa was delightful.
Review 5:no safe deposit box in our room, very little space for hanging cloths
Review 6:Fantastic location, breath taking restoration, very friendly staff, good breakfast, wonderful spa
Review 7:Excellent spa but not water services . You may think of having Watsu practitioner or Craniosacral therapist as part of your services. I am a Massage therapist myself and travel giving trainings and therapy around the world. Love to take this therapies during my trips.
Review 8:Traveling solo is not easy and I choose my hotels with safety and excellent service, good location, big bed.It exceeded my expectations and did not wanted to leave
Review 9:In this price range, one would expect at least a few television channels available in English. This hotel does not provide that.
Review 10:This hotel is a quite pleasant place to stay and uniquely so in Assisi. The restaurant is excellent, as is the service.
Review 11:Deluxe room far too small for a 5 stars hotel. The room's ceiling very low and no sound proof. I herd everything our neighbor were doing! Embarrassing!!!!
Review 12:The SPA is fantastic, really impressive!! Personnel kind and helpful.
Review 13:Leaving
Review 14:Everything!! Best staff and the restaurant is superb. We ate there every night. Style, design ambiance. It's got it all. Must go, must go back.
Review 15:Staff is exceptional. Michael the valet was fantastic. The spa, pool, and saunas are fabulous. The new restaurant, "Eat Out", was a highlight of our trip. The terrace dining during sunset overlooking Assisi was memorable.
Review 16:The front desk staff were the most helpful I have seen in years. Staff was impeccably dressed and facilities were beautiful and immaculate.Breakfast was well done and the restaurant best we experienced in Assisi I
Review 17:We booked a twin bed room and received confirmation for the same. When we arrived there was no twin bed available, only a single bed. We would have booked another hotel had we known.
Review 18:We liked the spa. The cleanliness of the property and the breakfast buffet were outstanding.
Review 19:Everything...the service, the room, the spa. Everyone is very professional and makes you feel like royal. The breakfast is heavenly with loads of home made pastries. Also the spa is excellent and would surely go back again.
Review 20:As much as I loved the hotel unfortunately it was blighted by two things. One the beds, which I add are good expensive beds, but way too soft for my back. Two, they put way too many chemicals in their wonderful pool. My legs peeled afterwards!
Review 21:This is in a wonderful spot. The hotel is fabulous and the pool wonderful after a hard day out!
Review 22:Great room and views. Spa is impressive beyond imagination. Helpful and friendly staff. Central location for daytrips to other towns. Eat Out restaurant much better than website indicates. Would do it all over again.
Review 23:Our only complaint was that we didn't plan ahead to stay more than 1 night!
Review 24:My wife and I had a truly marvelous experience during our stay. The place was easy to find, the staff were extremely helpful, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and had an amazing view. The spa is perfect for a few hours of rejuvenatation, and it was very unique in its design utilizing the roman ruins on-site. I can't recommend this place enough! It will be on our itinerary every trip we take to italy!
Review 25:few newer staff that need training. the attached restaurant "Eat out" was a contemporary restaurant that we ended up walking out of. you go to Assisi for the local feel and it definitely did not have that. bright lighting makes it have a cafeteria feel. my suggestion would be to put the lights on dimmers and add some rustic elements that better reflect the Nun Realis property.
Review 26:My wife and I really enjoyed the spa and the wonderful room with views of the Assisi roof tops and castle. we traveled to Rome, Florence, and Venice but Assisi was by far our favorite- decided to extend our stay while we were there.
Review 27:Having to leave so soon!
Review 28:The staff ... From reception to dining to service to transportation, the Nun staff is the best! Courteous, efficient, professional and helpful.
Review 29:Nothing!
Review 30:The separate entry into our room straight from outside made us feel like we had our own structure. Also, whatever request we made was addressed immediately and professionally. The EAT OUT restaurant was quite amazing with it's fresh and delicate flavors. We hope to return and spend more time at the hotel and take advantage of the spa.
Review 31:Spa was small you felt a bit on top of other couples Breakfast was poor no skimed milk, no museli, no bread rolls
Review 32:Location Evening in the garden was very cool atmosphere
Review 33:the massage had to be booked in advance to reserve a block of time, but with so many options, the customer should be able to choose the type of massage they want the day of. the massage team we had was pushy, and would not allow us to choose, only allowing us one type and limited 50 minutes of massage time. for a place that is a spa with tons of options, the massage/service side was extremely weak.
Review 34:front desk staff was amazing, especially silvia who made our stay very enjoyable. spa amenties were incredible (just look at them) and there are four different rooms with different temperatures and humidities. room was modern rustic, very comfortable to stay in. wifi is incredible inside the room it's probably the best i've had in all of italy. they have individual wifi for each room that you stay in. It's a great place to unwind and relax.
Review 35:No massage was available. Would be useful to advise guests ahead of time to book if they want treatments
Review 36:Location. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food very good in restaurant. Breakfast great. Will certainly visit again.
Review 37:The atmosphere of the town and hotel, the staff, the spa the restaurant up stairs.
Review 38:No bath tube in any room - only showers
Review 39:Great architecture, fantastic spa
Review 40:Excellent experience. Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Review 44:Great location, spotless, very friendly service, fantastic spa
Review 45:THE RESTURANT EAT-OUT WAS EXCELLENT.
Review 46:Spa is awesome !
Review 47:The spa was excellent, and the view from the restaurant terrace at sunset was divine!
Review 48:It would be great if there was a small gym to complement the spa.
Review 49:The terrace restaurant is excellent.
Review 50:Problem with WIFI for my Android device--but was OK for wife's iPhone!!
Review 51:Very helpful staff
Review 52:Wi Fi did not work in our room.
Review 53:The hotel is unique and most relaxing. Everyone was friendly andaccomodating.
Review 54:Friendly and helpful staff from front desk to restaurant.
Review 55:I liked everything ...
Review 56:Dinner at the new restaurant
Review 57:Roman spa
Review 58:quello che c'era non piace; (what was there not to like :) Fit for a King^
Review 59:- hard to get to with narrow streets
Review 60:- great facilities - friendly and knowledgable staff - restored Roman baths in the basement
Review 61:Outstanding location, brilliant service, beautiful setting and excellent spa
Review 62:Fabulous Spa and dining area. The location is beautiful.
Review 63:The spa is a museum. The building.
Review 64:This place is a treasure. We loved our room (which was #11, a suite with a roof terrace above). It was light, cool (air conditioning when needed), and quiet. Assisi is a busy hill town and this place was an oasis. Breakfast includes eggs and bacon which is unusual. It also has freshly baked muffins, great cheeses, plain yogurt, and fruit. Very American, health conscious food is available as well as gourmet quality treats. The chef is wonderful and dinners there were very high quality and worth the price. The spa is great. The underground pool is romantic and fun with many features. I have never seen anything like it. Great Italian design is everywhere at this relais spa and the pool is especially novel. Being in a shaded underground pool is relaxing and intimate. There is also a steam room where you can lie on a stone slab and a cold room where you can put ice chips on your heated body after the steam. This is a great couples spot. We also saw a biking group there-also couples. My husband and I are athletic and in our 70s. Most people we saw there were younger with a few older couples like us. The nun Assisi has flights of stairs to the rooms above the main floor with no elevator. There are other rooms available but it is important to specify that type of requirement. If you love good Italian design, great service and gourmet good, an incredible pool-spa experience, a garage, and a lovely garden courtyard, this is right for you.
Review 65:Location somewhat inconvenient.Room very nice but bedroom on loft level and bath/toilet on lower level.
Review 66:Facilities were luxury level.Room upgrade provided.
Review 67:The TV in the room did not work (not a big deal) and the Wifi cut out a few times (this was fixed by rebooting the modem).
Review 68:Stunning facilities, courteous staff, and great comfort.
Review 69:Our deluxe room was very small and spartan, devoid of any of the interesting architectural details we'd seen and hoped to enjoy. The restaurant was surprisingly average.
Review 70:The facilities, both the hotel and spa, are beautifully designed. The location, just outside the historic center, is very good.
Review 71:Nothing!!!!
Review 72:Complete serenity not only in beautiful modern room with amazing room but spa was incredible. Staff impeccable attention to detail . Would return absolutely!!!!!
Review 73:The breakfast was very basic. The dinners at the restaurant were boring and a bit bland. While you are in Assisi, one of the great pilgrimage sites of Western Europe, the hotel went out of the way to sort of mask that fact.
Review 74:I really liked the pool and spa facilities. We had a two floor room which provided a lot of quality space. The location was very convenient.
Review 75:The rooms with best views are facing the castle (rather than facing the inner garden) but unfortunately if you sleep with the window open, you can hear the garbage and recylcing trucks banging the bins and hearing glass break at the very early wee hours. If you sleep with the windows closed, it's not a problem as the windows are double-glazed so they are essentially sound-proofed.
Review 76:Imagine yourself sublimely enjoying the ambiance of the white and cream tones and clean lines; soaking in the old Roman stone thermal spa; dining on delicious artisanal cuisine; basking in the sun in the rosemary and lavender herb garden with a view of the rolling hills as the clouds spill over Monte Subasio just behind. This is a stunning mix of appropriately balanced modern luxury combined with the antiquity of the original Roman site and convent. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming and were extremely accommodating to every request that was made. We will certainly return. We stayed in room #12 and were very pleased with the suite.
Review 77:Being told our potatoes would come 10 minutes after our main course. Wefelt that although the hotel is lovely, it is very expensive, coming outat about £500 for 1 night, with dinner and breakfast.
Review 78:Lovely location and very comfortable. Good food.
Review 79:Nothing
Review 80:Luxurious hotel in a great setting, unusual spa facilities which were great to use, a high class restaurant and staff who would go out of their way to help you with anything. First class.
Review 81:Initial arrival. Badly signed. Difficult to find.
Review 82:Attention to the smallest detail. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Exquisite courtyard for open air dining and relaxing. Enchanting and efficient spa although lacks a full size swimming pool. Excellent and imaginative cuisine. Nicely positioned away from main tourist centre.
Review 83:Hard to find -- rooms clean but beds not overly comfortable -- no place to put clothes-- eating places limited
Review 84:Good if you want spa services -- near Assisi -- shower and bathroom great
Review 85:We had the misfortune of spending a day there when the electricity wasout, so we were not able to experience the full use of the facilities.Need better signage to find the spa--GPS does not recognize the address.
Review 86:Staff was very accomodating, facility is beautiful.
Review 87:nothing
Review 88:Spa Restaurant, excelent food

Review 91:The stay at this venue was a highlight of our trip. The staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent. We enjoyed every aspect.

Review 95:Would have liked bottled water
Review 96:Space and restaurant
Review 97:seems not a natural spa
