Reviews for Villa Carmen
Review 1:It will be difficult to find more nice and friendly people than Carmen and Angello. The place is perfect for people who want to go to Etna the day after.
Review 2:GPS is not particularly helpful in finding the house, so be sure to get directions from the hosts.
Review 3:Carmen and Angelo are amazing hosts. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It's like staying with Italian relatives you never knew you had. There's a wonderful pool.
Review 4:Had a fantastic day here with my mother and brother and sister. Carmen and Angelo are gracious, giving hosts -- they offered cold beers, water, tea on arrival, sat us down and chatted with us, and were welcoming and helpful in every possible way. Make sure you try some of Carmen's home-made laurel liqueur as a nightcap! Grazie Carmen and Angelo!
Review 5:We arrived and were immediately welcomed by Carmen and Angelo and offered a cup of coffee, some homemade cake and fresh strawberries. We were given local information about restaurants and visiting Etna and a suggestion for visiting Taormina afterwards. When we came down for breakfast the next day we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked cakes. We felt welcomed into the family and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and public areas were beautifully furnished and decorated. We would highly recommend Villa Carmen
Review 6:Nothing really - our friends would have liked brighter reading lights by the bed
Review 7:Angelo and Carmen were wonderful hosts, so friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was still too cold to use the pool when we stayed but it was a lovely spot to read and relax. Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice and fine pastries. Trecastagni is a little off the normal tourist path but it is worth the detour for a truly exceptional B&B experience.
Review 8:Nothing at all
Review 9:Carmen and Angelo are lovely people. We spent our honeymoon in their lovely villa, with beautiful garden and pool. Carmen and Angelo considered us as family and we felt absolutely at home. Great recommendation!
Review 10:There was some noisy construction work at the house just next to us but we can't blame Carmen and Angelo for that.
Review 11:1) The kindness of the owners (Carmen and Angelo) who really treat you as a guest (as opposed to a client) 2) Good breakfast including homemade cake and fresh fruits 3) Nice garden and swimming pool 4) Our room was comfortable and the house is nicely decorated.
Review 12:Leaving The next property we stayed in!
Review 13:Here we have an example of what a b & b can be if you strive for excellence. The villa is in trecasatagnani, a small village on the slopes of mount Etna. On arrival we were greeted and felt immediately at home... We were taken to the matrimonial suite which was like a room in a stately home, set on two levels with room for 4 people with a massive bathroom including an actual bath, which is not a given in Italian accommodation. As well as a sumptuous and separate shower. A beautiful and comodious terrace overlooking the pool, looking on into the Mediterranean in the distance. Considering it's position in a residential neighborhood there was no noise to speak of, other than bird song and very very tranquil and relaxing. That would be enough but there is more in the welcoming attentiveness of the hosts who endured my broken Italian and made sure we were happy and gave their time for whatever we needed. The breakfast was wonderful and as with everything here you were not left wanting. Your hosts are people of genteel and caring disposition who embrace visitors to their home both literally and in their natural manner. They see themselves as ambassadors of the Sicilian way of life and they ensure that you are happy to the extreme. Unfortunately for us we were here for only two days and at the beginning of our tour. Subsequent experience has reinforced for us that Villa Carmen is an A1 experience. Angelo and Carmen Ti ringrazio Salute
Review 14:The room we had was fantastic and the hosts Carmen and Angelo are very special in the way that they make you feel at home from the first minute. We asked if they could recommend a restaurant, and then they drove us to a very nice place, actually they drove twice so we could see how to walk back. Breakfast is very very good. We can not think of any better place to stay.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:This is an outstanding B and B run by the most hospitable owners I have ever met in 20 years of European travel. No detail is overlooked and they truly love inviting their guests into their home and their life. They are willing to do extra such as provide a delicious and genuine Sicilian feast for a moderate cost, help with laundry, provide maps and touring advice and even pick you up when needed. I would love to return again. Their location is in the small town of Trecastagni which lies on the slopes of Mt Etna just above Catania. It is best found using a GPS if you are not used to driving in Italy. Carmen and Angelo you are amazing hosts and the best we have experienced in many trips to Italy.
Review 17:Not a Thing
Review 18:Our hosts Carmen & Angelo were fantastic and made us feel most welcome from the minute we arrived. Room very comfortable and easy access to Mt Etna from Trecastagni. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 19:Carmen and Angelo are the most welcoming hosts I've ever met. They run this small bnb with love and passion. The place is comfortable more than home, with beautiful rooms, garden, pool. Breakfast is hard to describe, with small gourmand surprises every morning! Everything is done perfectly and (most important) with heart. I can't recommend a better place, pity the score can be expressed only up to 10!
Review 20:The welcome, the room, the breakfast. Angelo drove us to the local restaurant where we had a great meal.
