Reviews for Ishigaki Seaside Hotel

Review 1:The beds are pretty hard, and it doesn't seem right to have to pay the same price for each person when one has to sleep on a pretty uncomfortable sofa bed. The rooms were spacious and had everything you would need, but the decor was dated and a little dingy. Wifi is only in the lobby and very weak.

Review 2:The location was amazing -- gorgeous views from the balconies, great beach steps from the main building. The a la carte menu at the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. The baths are nice to have, and the pool is quite nice.

Review 3:Overall service. Pay for new beach towel. No biking after sunset. Expensive breakfast. No new water after cleaning. Beach swimming area full of sharp rocks. Only WiFi in one area

Review 4:Buffet diner, great bungalow and private outside bath.

Review 5:Horrendously strong smell of smoke in the room Weird piped Hawaiian music 24hrs a day, on repeat, in all public areas Incredibly tired time warp hotel. Like David Lynch decided to rewrite The Shining and set it in Hawaii.

Review 6:Good location right on the beach

Review 7:The hotel was overpriced for its location. The pool was dirty, too many flies. The corridors smelt of smoke. The place felt quite empty and too quiet. Not a lot going on. I would like to see more promotion of water sports and other events that you can do from the hotel. Shopping is boring for Western tourists!!!

Review 8:The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The bike hire deal was excellent.

Review 9:The bar was closed when we were there!

Review 10:Beautiful beach, fantastic BBQ's, large thatched villa, garden, service & food.

Review 11:no English spoken by the staff - Wi Fi available only in the lobby

Review 12:staff is awesome recommend local dinner place . friendly envirment .

Review 13:far from airport

Review 14:Nice beach sight

Review 15:Access to the hotel from airport is challenging. Taxi costs 4500 yen andseems to be the only way. The hotel is old but everything was clean.Restaurant was ok but menu is limited.

Review 16:It is just next to wonderful Sukuji beach. I truly enjoyed the beach asthis was the primary concern for my case. Staff was helpful.

Review 17:The garden around the bungalow is more like a jungle left to its own devices, which is probably one of the reasons for the enormous amounts of geckos in the room, which we did not mind, but also a huge spider, which we did mind indeed. The hotel itself is equipped for families with small children, but there are no activities for young adults after dinner; most people disappear in their rooms and the hotel seems deserted after 9 pm. As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the best thing to do is rent a car for the length of the entire stay, which is what most people do.

Review 18:We stayed in a beach bungalow and loved it when we entered it. The bungalow is huge and offers quite and privacy, has a jacuzzi on the veranda and it is close to the beach.

Review 19:Tried to book some tours at the hotel desk but no one spoke English. No where to buy food if you don't eat at designated times. No food or drinks by the poolor outside in the daytime.

Review 20:Very friendly staff, good location, relaxed atmosphere.

Review 21:Food was expensive. A breakfast inclusive package would have been good. We paid about 290AUD/ night and I do not think this was the best available deal for this hotel.

Review 22:Beautiful location on the beach, large rooms, friendly staff with very relaxed attitudes. A real holiday feel. Proximity to Kabira village was a bonus.

Review 23:The restaurant. Food was no good, and it was just as expensive (if not more) than surrounding places.

Review 24:The villa that we stayed in felt classier than the hotel itself.

Review 25:The construction noise. The price (as a solo traveler, minshuku /guest houses are a better option)

Review 26:The location is great. You can rent a bike and ride to Kabira bay veryeasily. A ride further up the peninsula near club med is also quitepicturesque and enjoyable. There are paths through the thick plants youcan take to get to the other beach. The hotel itself has great viewsfrom the room. Unfortunately the construction was quite noisy so Idecided to stay for only one night and move on to Hateruma.

Review 27:Not enouhg facilities like gym and spa.

Review 28:staff's kindness

Review 29:NO ENGLISH MENUS. Limited internet. Poor beach for swimming

Review 30:Beautiful views. Friendly & helpful staff. Great diving & snorkeling
