Reviews for Relais Sant'Emiliano SPA & Wellness

Review 1:bedrooms a bit "tired" - but clean and generous proportions. about 4 km out of town, but all you need is in hotel.

Review 2:superb staff and excellent facilities. brilliant restaurant and no need to go anywhere else.

Review 3:The rates are absolutely disproportionate to the value. For such moneyyou not only expect to have impeccably clean and well furnished rooms, you simply must have that. Instead we found beds that might be ok for acamper; covers of the lamps in the bathroom and sitting area were brokenand not changed; equipment for self-catering were as if gathered from"what's left"; cushions for sun loungers by the bungalowshave seen lots of rain and other troubles but no cleaning...On top ofthat you have to pay extra for cleaning (I think I should check themeaning of the word "cleaning" in the dictionary as from whatwe found upon arrival made me worried if I ever understood this wordcorrectly), extra for towel change.

Review 4:The location is excellent for those who want to enjoy the tranquilityaway from city buzz. Regrettably, only location...

Review 5:Very noisy room , you can feel like under the plane , bed ventilation ,spa opening hours , staff in reception can be better , especially the older women

Review 6:Spa, Gym , very good breakfast , nice restaurants

Review 7:Rooms slightly outdated. Air con too noisy to have on at night. Public transport in the area unrealiable and taxis expensive, so unless you have a car or willing to walk a bit would be difficult to get out.

Review 8:Good location, very peaceful but only a 5 min drive/ 40 min walk into Desenzano. A couple of nice restaurants close by. Lovely pool area and right on the lake. Spa handy for a rainy day. Plenty of free parking.

Review 9:A/C not working in room but dealt with very quickly.

Review 10:Very helpul staff, beautiful location, great restaurant, incredible breakfast. Underground pool and Spa is outstanding.

Review 11:Can't complain about a thing!

Review 12:Staff were excellent - great service Lovely facilities. Gym, pool etc very well kept. Hotel very clean and tidy Lovely room with view of lake. Great breakfast. Location suited us. Nice and quiet. May not suit everyone - not many facilities in immediate surroundings

Review 13:Absolutely nothing! Even though the wifi wasn't great we were not there to Facebook etc.

Review 14:Spent the first week of our honeymoon here - AMAZING! It is just off the lake and the views are incredible. It is in a fantastic location to tour all the lakes - although to be honest, Garda was the most impressive and the only one we would return to! The staff are absolutely fantastic and a have superb English. Even though we tried our best Italian :-) Aleigie welcomed us and was fantastic over our entire stay. He is very knowledgable and a star! All the staff were friendly and the bar staff were top notch! (Prices also very reasonable) There is a fantastic restraunt adjacent and lots within walking distance and all with fantastic staff service and food! There are loads and loads of shops nearby for everything you could ever need! This was my first taste of Italy and I am happy to say I would return to this hotel time after time again. Thank you so much for everything! (Also booking via booking.com as always pain free and informative) Would recommend the hotel and the booking.com to all my friends without any hesitation!!

Review 15:Not much actually, it was exactly what we were looking for. Spot on.

Review 16:Spa facilities are superb. Breakfast was second to none. Clean and excellent pool. Great lake views. Had both on site and local restaurants. Easy to get around from here 1 hour drive to top of lake Riva del Garda. Excellent all round.

Review 17:Pool was disappointing as it was small, rooms were somewhat dated, parking was a hassle. Although our first time in garda, it seemed quite expensive for what you get.

Review 18:All staff are excellent and friendly, nice views next to the lake

Review 19:The location wasn't great. You really have to have to have a car to get anywhere comfortably and affordably. Trying as we did to do this with local transport, is really hard work. Pedenghe is the nearest town, a five minute drive, but it's not worth bothering with. It was a deserted town that offered very little to see or day. We foolishly decided to cycle there to find a restaurant one evening, and could only find a ropey looking pizzeria that looked like a Dominos takeaway with tables outside. Desenzano is the nearest large town a good 10 minute drive away. It's good in terms of ferry connections, but the place itself is so busy with tourism and cheap markets, that's it's far from romantic. Sirmione is a great place to visit, but if staying at this hotel, you will have to leave early to get a connecting ferry and then bus back home. I would say ignore any hotels near Padenghe for easy connections. Stay close to ferry ports and walkable to the towns so you have different restaurant options each evening. Visit Desenzano and Sirmione, but stay further down the lake to get a truly wonderous experience of Lake Garda.

Review 20:The hotel itself was lovely with a nice spa area. We stayed in the new section of the hotel above the restaurant and spa so although noisy from the restaurant at times, it was a very smart and comfortable place to stay.

Review 21:Excellent breakfast and stunning views from the terrace

Review 22:Not close to Attractions and Resturants

Review 23:Direct accses to Garda lake

Review 24:A little expensive for evening meals

Review 25:Location and Hotel staff

Review 26:It is the best place with the beach on Garda lake. Good location for getting around trip of Garda.

Review 27:The staff were all very helpful & friendly

Review 28:Excellent breakfasts on the terrace. Superb dinners at the restaurant with immaculate service.

Review 29:Nothing

Review 30:Staff were really friendly and helpful, breakfast was very varied and good

Review 31:Wifi wasn't working good in rooms. People who don't like peace and quietness shoudn't choose this hotel.

Review 32:Personnel is great, very polite and attentive. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view over the lake, pool. Food and cocktails is execelnt quality.

Review 33:Expensive. Closet hanging system poor and unreachable for short person. Lack of hooks for towels, robes etc.

Review 34:Great spa, good gym equipment, wonderful sauna and Turkish bath and indoor pool facility. Friendly and helpful staff at all levels. very nice outdoor pool.

Review 35:My review of the staff is very low because they weren’t accommodating and did not try to meet our needs. We booked for one night, and they put us in a room overlooking the courtyard next to the kitchen. They failed to mention that for that particular night, the only night we were there, there was a wedding reception going on all evening until midnight. There was obviously loud music and shouting and cheering - all of it right under our window. We weren’t going to bed early, but we came there to RELAX and not to be disturbed. A mere mention of the wedding reception or the option for us to change rooms would have been courteous during check-in. We asked them in the evening about the noise, and hey weren’t very snobbish about it, but they did not apologize at all, and laughed it off. For more than 200 euros a night, I expected more from the service. Bad customer service guys, check your attitudes.

Review 36:Beautiful gardens and room, the spa

Review 37:Location very quiet and boring compared to other places at Lake Garda Apartments are poor - far from 4 star- bed hard and uncomfortable

Review 38:Staff very nice and helpful

Review 39:Although we didn't mind the walk and we could get taxis, the main town is 45minutes away and buses are very unreliable. We had room service and had to put full bins outside but noone collected the extra dishes and rubbish unless we paid extra. Also you have to pay extra to use the indoor pool and facilities which I felt should be included, this did not hinder our stay though.

Review 40:Lovely hotel with friendly staff, our apartment was well equipped and not far away from the main building. Gorgeous view from the pool, looking over the lake upto snow peaked mountains. We went the weekend before Easter and got a great deal, due to it being so quiet the staff were even more attentive. Taxis were very efficient and once in Densenzano the trains, buses and boats were easy to use though be sure to validate your train ticket using the boxes provided to avoid a fine. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, mainly pizza and pasta-alternative food options were limited but everything we did have was delicious.

Review 41:The location is terrible if you don't have a car to get around. Theapartment was not a four star standard, we had to wash dirty plates andcutlery which had been overlooked by the cleaner. We were shocked to find if you wanted your room cleaned during your stay there was an additional charge of ten euros. This is not a four star service. Staff apart from the gentleman who dealt with our complaint were dismissive and rude. We are not by any means a snobbish couple having stayed in various hotels, hostels and camp site. However the hotel was terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Review 42:A member of staff who dealt with our complaint was attentive and offeredus complimentary drinks. He delivered outstanding customer service.

Review 43:Internet was very slow; sometimes it did not work at all.The interior furnishing was new but surprisingly cheap. The pictures on the homepage of booking.com do not show the true situation. They are choosen in such a way that one gets a better impression than reality turns out to be. If you book in the high season it is really expensive and then value for your money is not that good at all.

Review 44:The location of the resort is great. The whole layout is very nice.Staff is very friendly and commands both English and German.

Review 45:The wi-fi was very slow and didn't work very often in the apartment. The room was spotless but smelled quite damp. The area itself was beautiful but there's very little around, car hire is a must as taxis are expensive and while you can call them from the hotel they don't pick up on the roadside so it's hard to get back from local towns if you go out for the evening.

Review 46:The staff in the hotel were excellent, and the food in the hotel was the best I've ever had. The self catering apartments were fantastic, exactly what I was hoping for.

Review 47:Nice hotel, friendly ambiance. There is an opportunity to prepare their own food from the finest natural products that are sold in the shop opposite the hotel or enjoy a meal in the hotel restaurant. Location requires a car. It makes available many of the attractions the coast. The front desk staff is very friendly. Special thanks to the senior manager.

Review 48:Some of the staff at the reception showing impolite behaviour. No fitness or wellness opportunies. Minor points: Rooms are rather tiny. Sunshades or blinds missing on the terrace. Parking area can be crowded in the evening.

Review 49:One of the rare places directly on the sea. Beautiful mediterranean garden with old Pines cypress trees and plenty of space even in peak season offers privacy even in the sunbathing area. Generelly pleasant guests who enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this place. Rich and delicious breakfast buffet in a spacious dining-room with sea-view. Attentive and swift waiters. Even it is starting to show its age, its an all over well maintained hotel, the clean rooms offer a good standard and modern large TVs. Sound and friendy cleaning personal. Good location for golfers as you are surrounded by many top courses.

Review 50:We were actually surprised that the lake is bordered from the hotel territory by metal fence, so you cannot make a walk on the beach or test the water which is quite unexpected for travellers from our part of the world. However you can reach the beach through the territory of neighbor restaurant in 200 metres from the hotel

Review 51:We've stayed actually for only 2 nights, so not that lot to describe. Beautiful breakfast organized at the open terrace in front of the restaurant with lake view, quite comfortable and cozy rooms, lot of fresh air, far from noisy streets and overcrouded cities... not too long distance from historical towns of Sirmione and Pescheria, they're easily accessible by car (20-30 min drive). Hotel staff was more than friendly, though we haven't that much to ask them to do for us. There are couple of pretty restaurants right nearby the hotel, so you will always have the choice for the dinner, in case of course it isn't too late

Review 52:One of the staff at the front office who was not at all helpful.

Review 53:The swimming pool and the restaurant

Review 54:Please work on the wifi access in the whole facility!

Review 55:Everything was very good and nice

Review 56:no wifi in our room

Review 57:position and the view over the lake, staff, spa, restaurant

Review 58:No bath tub

Review 59:Good sized rooms Free upgrade Plenty of wardrobe space

Review 60:Internet speed is abysmal. If you need internet access to do some work forget about it

Review 61:Owners/staff could not be kinder

Review 62:Service, breakfast, garden with pool and directly close to the lake
