Review 1：competence of English of staff can be improved.

Review 2：The staff were good in manner and very helpful. The breakfasts were great. The room was clean and comfortable. Location of the hotel is close to town and bicycle rental service was provided with 6 hours free of charge.

Review 3：For me there were no negatives. (I was able to communicate in Japanese sufficiently with the staff.)

Review 6：Everything is great. You can rent a bike for free. Their rewarding system is cute. Room is bigger than I thought. Breakfast doesn't have many choices but nice.

Review 7：This hotel was exceptional value for money. Free washing machine, wifi and you are rewarded with points which you can use to exchange for goods by choosing not to have you room cleaned.

Review 8：Very helpful staff and they did their best to help us with our limited Japanese language skills. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast variety of Japanese and Western breakfast items was fantastic. We also thought the free laundry and bicycles were a huge help. Quick walk to the ferry dock made for an ideal location.

Staffs can only speak little English, but they're really nice and helpful. They also help me to rent a car. If I have a chance to go there again. I'll also choose Hotel Patina.

Review 33：Really lovely cozy hotel in great location to enjoy the island. Staff were perfect facilities were all you could expect at price and more. Friendly feel, comfortable rooms.

Review 34：The breakfast was very good with a wide choice. In particular we liked the "eco point system". Each day you received a list where you could check off the items that you didn't need the next day, like towels, room cleaning, etc. For each item points were assigned. You could then purchase items with your points from goodies to beer or souvenirs. So much more effective than simply asking guests to try and be more eco-conscious. A fun idea. Except for one member whom we only saw once at check-in none of the other desk staff spoke English. Since there are mainly Japanese tourist in Ishigaki you find many English speakers on that island.

Review 35：Our room was very dark and small. Although they claimed there was a view of the ocean, we did not get one. The breakfast was not very good either. I would not stay there again.

Review 37：The staff was very friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast buffet was great, the triple room was spacious (we brought lots of diving equipment), though we had to cancel one night due to unexpected typhoon, they were still very nice and everything was resolved smoothly. We had a great stay there.

The room would be a bit onthe small side for big people but the twin beds were big and the roomhad everything you might need, including good aircon, a kettle, tv,ensuite with ample hot water, and a small balcony with drying rack. Theroom was quiet, reasonable wifi, and smoke free. The breakfast wasmainly Japanese, and included fish/fish 'cake/sausage',eggs, tofu, salads, rice, pickles, miso soup, and yogurt. It was verysubstantial and a high quality. There were also croissants and breadrolls, tea and coffee. There was a good laundry. The staff were veryfriendly and helpful. Although the surroundings are not particularlygreen, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the main centre, withshops, ferry, bus terminals, museums and markets. There are lots ofrestaurants within walking distance.
