Reviews for Bram Hotel
Review 1:Really nice hotel with wonderful staff and good breakfast. Very convenient for airport and station, but otherwise in the middle of nowhere, with no restaurant and almost no local facilities. Great if you have a car, bout I didn't!
Review 2:The staff was wonderfully welcoming, gracious, helpful, and kind. Our room and all common rooms were beautifully appointed. The included breakfast buffets were outstanding in their quality, abundance, and variety of choices.
Review 3:People loitering at front entrance. Wasn't becoming of your establishment.
Review 4:Proximity to train station and airport. Extremely clean and inviting. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Thank you.
Review 5:Very accommodating, friendly staff. Very well maintained, clean hotel. Excellent breakfast service. Walkable to train station. A great base for your explorations of Calabria by car.
Review 6:Lamezia is not a great place to stay but this hotel is excellent for those needing to stay over near the airport and railway station
Review 7:excellent staff, lovely room, excellent breakfast and host.
Review 8:The Bram Hotel was perfect for our one night stay before an early morning flight out of Lamezia Terme. It was close enough to walk to from the train station and all of the staff (from check-in to check-out as well as those who corresponded to me via) were wonderful. We were recommended a very nice restaurant within walking distance for lunch and there was also a pub very close for drinks and a light dinner in the evening. They were also very accommodating with a cot/crib for our 'almost 2 year old' grandson. Our room had a very nice terrace with table and chairs also which was a pleasant surprise. Our flight was very early flight so we were unable to try the breakfast but the breakfast room looked very nice.
Review 9:The air conditioning system is erratic and not really up to the job. It seems to be centrally controlled even though there is a control box in the room. It was a very hot night and the hotel was full.....maybe the system just couldn't cope?
Review 10:This is a very nice hotel
Review 11:Everything! we checked in early and that was not a problem. the staff were friendly and efficient. our room was spotless! comfortable and quiet. Had to leave early the next day and were unable to enjoy the brekfest,, but stayed here 5 years ago , in 2011 with family and it was fantastic. I will recommend this hotel to all friends and family and will most certainly stay here again, next time we are in souther Italy. Also, nice and close to the airport and there are some great places to eat close by, within walking distance, one to two blocks. the city square is about 3 blooks away, nice stroll after dinner if one wanted to go for a walk. Felt comfortable in the surrounding neighborhood.
Review 12:The staff were fantastic, we arrived late, following a delayed flight, the receptionist knew my name and we were given a lovely suite for the night, very much appreciated.
Review 13:The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a variety of offerings despite the fact that it was low season with very few guests in the hotel.
Review 14:Great hotel! Room was very big with all you could imagine inside. I had 3 balconies, two TV sets (I never watch TV, but it is nice to have them) and a tea set. Great place, helpful and competent staff, they meet you with a smile and treat you as their favorite guest! Unluckily I travel for work and I stayed only one night there. I wished more. Near the railway station and easy access to the airport.
Review 15:The only tiny downside - in fact it almost seems churlish to mention it - was that, because our balcony was adjacent to the fire escape it wasn't possible to leave a window open at night which, combined with my age, made me hot: my fault, not theirs!
Review 16:This hotel is a little gem of stile liberty design, and it has obviously been very recently refurbished to a very high standard. Both the public areas and our room were elegant and comfortable. We really liked our light, airy room which was well-furnished - it was good to have a settee to relax on, many modern hotel rooms have nowhere except the bed to sit - and with a lovely balcony. Bathroom was well-equipped and spotless. All staff were friendly and helpful, with the waitress at breakfast even offering to prepare freshly-squeezed orange juice. Highly recommended: in fact we hope to go back soon!
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Large room quiet, great bed, excellent breakfast good restaurant for a quick meal. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room places to sit. Great choice.
Review 19:The food in the "restaurant" was terrible. The wifi was wonky and the climate control didn't work properly.
Review 20:Manuela was extremely helpful when we had issues with wifi and climate control. She did what she could with inadequate services.
Review 21:Not much to do close to hotel. Area very quiet. Not many shops close by.
Review 22:The staff were friendly and most helpful. It is within walking distance from Lamezia train station and a supermarket. The suite we had was quite large for two people. Having a fridge in the room was a plus. The breakfast was very good.
Review 23:The local area isn't convenient for walking to other bars or restaurants, a bit shabby but no worse than the rest of the area Unfortunately on the morning we were due to leave, the towns water supply was cut off and hence no showers or toilets.
Review 24:Convenient for both the airport and station. Modern, clean rooms with all the facilities one expects from a 3 star hotel. Small dining room serving traditional Calabrian dishes that was open until quite late. Good value for money. Multi lingual staff who are efficient and helpful.
Review 25:Nothing at all bearing in mind we used Lamezia as a base for travel to and from elsewhere.
Review 26:Lamezia is a great base to start exploring the South of Italy although the town itself does not have a lot to offer. There is a regular shuttle bus between the airport and the train station and then good links to the rest of Italy. The hotel is just a few hundred metres from the station so very convenient. The hotel offered us a suite - a bedroom, three balconies, a lounge and two tv's with internet access - what more could you possibly want? It was quiet being out of season and we again ate at the Quadrifolia restaurant in town so we cannot judge the eventing meal. However if the breakfast is anything to go by, I would think it would be very good. Finally the all important staff made it a most pleasant stay.
Review 27:This is one if the the nicest hotels in a modest neighborhood near the train station. For this area, this is as good as it gets in the way of a really nice hotel.
Review 28:Elegant but casual hotel. Decent restaurant. Friendly staff. Many details that show the quality of what a nice hotel could and should be. Almost felt like being in a palace. Some of the nearby hotels are in sharp contrast to the Bram so I was very happy that we chose the Bram.
Review 29:AC was not as powerful as I would have liked but it was comfortable enough.
Review 30:Great location near the train station. Quick connections into Lamezia itself. Great local restaurants nearby. Spacious and well appointed room. Great breakfast included. Highly recommend.
Review 31:In particular we loved the excellent service from the staff: they provided great advice in where to go and what to do; were always responsive to the needs of our very large family group, including 2 young children; and the desk is attended 24/7. The breakfast also was excellent, with so many choices, and with the specific dietary needs of some family members well attended to. We would stay there sgsin.
Review 32:The dinner menu and cooking could be better. There is not much choice for dinner in the area.
Review 33:The staff at the desk was very efficient and friendly; very helpful. The breakfast buffet is to die for; an outstanding spread that includes meats and scrambled eggs among all the other European fare--pastries, cereal, yogurt, juices, fruits, and cafe made to order, like cappucino. The room and bathroom were spacious by European standards, with all the amenities in the bathroom--very comfortable and clean.
Review 34:Convenient when arriving at and departing from the airport, pleasant rooms, wonderful staff, homemade pasta, even at 10 PM, good breakfast. Will stay there again when visiting beautiful Calabria!
Review 35:Great Hotel!!!
Review 36:very close to Lamezia Terme airport. Staff were very helpful.

Review 40:The decor was very nice. The rooms were large and clean. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Review 41:A garden to sit and enjoy the sun with friends would be nice as it was an excellent location for getting around
Review 42:No, all good
Review 43:Hotel perfect for area located in. Staff extremely helpful. Few minutes walk from train station. Short taxi ride from airport.
Review 44:No restaurants close buy, nothing near by

Review 54:A lovely room
Review 55:noisy air conditioning

Review 59:Beds
Review 60:Nothing.
Review 61:Luxury, bed, location, breakfast....everything!
Review 62:Location
Review 63:Staff were friendly and helpful
Review 64:Location was in a fairly run-down area near the train station
Review 65:Excellent room and good meal in the restaurant
Review 66:It was all lovely.
Review 67:Convenient and clean hotel.
Review 68:Beautiful hotel with amazing food and great staff.
Review 69:They didn't have sheets, only the comforter.
Review 70:We needed to connect with a relative at the Lamezia Terme. The location is isolated from shopping and sight seeing. We were told not to walk around alone in the town by relatives. If you have to stay in Lamezia Terme, definitely stay at the Bram Hotel.
Review 71:The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station. The breakfast is excellent, especially for Americans who enjoy protein foods as well as the continental pastries, etc. The dinner menu is nice. The rooms are lovely with windows that open; new bottle of water each day, comfortable bed--just wonderful. I would definitely stay at the Bram again.
Review 72:The hotel is located not far from the train station. The WIFI internet is slow but it is free. Breakfast is adequate but could be improved.
Review 73:Very nice hotel, exceptional value for the money paid.
Review 74:Excellent stop over when traveling across Italy. Rooms very modern and clean. Mary's Pub is delicious place for pizza, pasta, etc. Don't let the name deter you.
Review 75:Very clean, upscale boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. A nice little restaurant with fresh local food. An easy walk from the train station, even with that monster of a suitcase!
Review 76:Nothing to dislike, keep up the excellent standard.
Review 77:Nice, clean, tidy boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome and valued. Very comfy and tastefully decorated room that was cleaned and tiedied every day. Would certainly recommend the Bram to any visitors to this region of Italy.
Review 78:Absolutely nothing.
Review 79:We're frequent world travelers, and we can say, without any reservations, that this hotel has offered us the best experience we've ever had. The staff are kind, helpful and professional, including the owner himself. The suite we were in left absolutely nothing to be desired. Attention to detail is impressive, and everything is designed and planned with the guest at the center. We now have one more very good reason to go back to Calabria and as often as we can.
Review 80:Excellent stay with very friendly staff and modern additions to the rooms. Littered with nice touches from the chocolate on the pillow to sky on the tv. Highly recommended.
Review 81:Dreadful food in the restaurant , Could not recommend this. Do not havethe soup a tin of borlotti beans with onions for 9 euros awful, the pastadishes were tasteless. We would use the hotel again but not eat in it.
Review 82:Wonderful room, would recommend this hotel.Convenient for the railwaystation and airport .
Review 83:We had a 5:00 A.M. wake-up call to catch a 7:15 A.M. flight. Breakfastwas included in the pkg, however, breakfast was not served until after7, therefore, we missed out on any breakfast! We paid 23 Euro for alater dinner, but we still would have liked an early breakfast
Review 84:Decor and ambience. Colour schemes and unique fixtures. Staff wereamicable and very helpful, fast and efficient. It was about 5 minutes tothe airport.
Review 85:Surrounding area was residential flats etc. Not many options for dinner, so we ate in the hotel.
Review 86:We used this hotel as a last stop on our trip, before flying back to London because it is so close to Lamezia airport. The actual surrounding area is not great, but the hotel is lovely inside. Well maintained and helpful, english speaking staff. We had a hire car, so chose this hotel for the secure private parking which is just across the road. It was quiet when we were there, so we were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise! Wi-fi works well, food in the hotel was fine. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. Would reccomend if you need somewhere to stay near the aiport, I dont think there's much going on in Lamezia.
Review 87:Just a little to hard to find but once we knew it was near trainstationit was easy mention that in directions as once you get on a wrong roadit was imposible to turn around
Review 88:Great place room was exceptional dinner excellent we were only there onenight as wewere to leave next morning close to airport.
Review 89:Not much to do in Lamezia Terme. You have to Nicastro 10 kms away.
Review 90:The hotel is very posh for the area. We had a mini suite which was lovely. We ate dinner in the hotel which was great.
Review 91:The air con in our room did not work and it was 30 degrees outside
Review 92:Arrived late following our flight into Italy. Restaurant staff werereally helpful and although they were preparing the room for breakfast, served us up a late night meal. Really friendly and helpful
Review 93:Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. Room temp could only be adjusted to 25 Celsius at the coolest
Review 94:Location to lemezia terme airport great for early morning flights to Rome.
Review 95:A lovely hotel. Very convenient for the airport and Lamezia TermeCentrale train station. All of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was fairly quiet and our room choice had been upgraded;thankyou. They were also happy to extend the checkout time on the day weleft. Rooms are very comfortable and all appear to have at least onebalcony. We ate at the hotel restaurany which was open until 10.30 in theevening, which was useful as our flight landed just after 9. I had askedthe hotel to arrange a taxi for us as the airport buses stop runningbefore 9pm. The taxi was waiting for us and I would recommend thisservice, it cost 10 euros, for anyone landing at 9pm on a Friday as theairport was very busy . There's not much in Sant'Eufemia Lameziaitself, although we did find a two or three restaurants and an excellentgelateria/pasticceria. All of the restaurants, including the one atthe hotel, appeared to be closed on Sundays.
Review 96:Town looked a bit dodgy!
Review 97:Super friendly staff Really comfortable and clean
Review 98:Every thing
