Review 1：I chose this hotel to be close to the Rome airport for my flight in the morning. It was not easy to drive to, especially at rush hour. Must have GPS to find.

Review 5：The person who works at the front desk needs to pat more attention to other customers beside the ones who speaks his language Urdo. He never gave us the information what time is breakfast, he was more interested in the conversation with another customer who speak his language and forgot about us, we waited 40 minutes and we find out that he didn't even tell the maid to get the room ready, my sister when upstairs and gave her a tip and the room was ready in 19 minutes after that.

Review 6：Poor breakfast. Room requires repair (damaged wall in the bathroom, 1 light switch is broken). Some of the reception staff are not to helpful and nice.

Review 8：We had a nigntmare stay- our room was so stinky that we could not sleep,it was half fish smell and half gas. At some point we thought there is agas leak, it was dagerous. Plus the transfer prices are huge - for 3 kmthe charge 25 eur. Stay away!!!!!!

Review 12：Good location on sea front; convenient for FCO airport. They let us stay an extra night at same rate when our flight to the U.S. was cancelled. Clean rooms with breakfast included. Breakfast options were good with a variety of fruits, breads, and beverages. Free bicycles. Pleasant staff.

Review 13：Was a little frustrating to come from a very long exhaustive trip and the room was not prepared yet. It was promised to me to be ready by 11:am when I arrived, but it was not ready until after 1:pm :( Kids were exhausted and sleeping the lobby and all I wanted was a shower :/ Everything else was great.

Review 14：Very friendly staff- Nikola was very sweet and helpful. Located close to some nice Pizzerias and right on the beach! Bicycles are free to use as well. Very dog friendly- stayed with 2 large, full grown Rottweilers and their 4 puppies.

Review 19：We stayed here two nights in transit. The hotel is near the beach at Fiumichino, about a $20-25 taxi ride from the Rome Fiumicino airport. The hotel and room are clean and well presented, The room was a bit small and internet unreliable. Noise transfer from the two adjacent rooms was unacceptable. The shower gave a weak flow of water which was only warm. One bed lamp did not work and was not fixed despite two requests. Breakfast was good. Performance of reception staff was variable with one , Hosain, being excellent.

The property is located near the sea and there are lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. One of the best features was that they offered free bikes which was great for exploring Fuimicino!

Review 41：the staff was very helpful and spoke good English they helped us find the best way to get to Rome I really appreciated that, the breakfast was really nice and rich, the room was clean and well-equipped, the bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was cool, the place has a good location by being just at the beach side, wifi worked pretty well. I d say the hotel is perfect for a sleepover but I would not go there for the town or for the beach for more than a few days.

Review 42：Swimming across the street was bad. The AC smelled awful, like stale celery. They couldn't figure out the problem and it was either sweat or have a stinky room. They only contract with one taxi company do are not flexible in arranging pick up times.

Review 46：Very poor service about one particular issue - We had a patio door which opened onto the communal terrace. I discovered that it was broken and it would not lock, when I asked the staff to fix it before we all went to bed (we arrived late to the hotel) the first member of staff looked and couldn't fix it, so they got the manager who looked at it and when I asked if we could move room, we were told there weren't any other rooms. In the end he just said don't worry when the door is closed it looks locked and left. As it was so late, we had friends we had staying at the hotel,it was now nearer to midnight and we had two young children we just pushed a large wardrobe across the door and all went to bed. We also arrived to find that the aircon was not on and the room was very hot, a member of staff did bring our bags up to us (lift not working) and did set up the aircon. Everyone was smiley and friendly but over all the experience due to the door wasn't good. I was pleased it was only for one night.

Review 50：Probably, the impression of the hotel was spoilt by the lack of planning / wrong choice for our purpose. The reason for stay in the hotel was its proximity to the Fiumicino airport. We had a late flight and did not want to go anywhere that night. Unfortunately, our plan turned out to be stupid, as there were no buses after 9pm to take us from the airport to the hotel. We had to take a taxi increasing the cost of stay by 30 EUR. Negotiating the price of a taxi is a big deal if you don't speak Italian. When you arrive to the hotel late at night the first thing you see (smell) is rubbish bins - so area did not seem nice to us. The room overlooked the inner yard with the kitchen/restaurant on the ground floor. It was a very noisy experience, as they shuffled cutlery and plates around late at night. The last negative thing to mention - it is not that easy to get out of the place if you are restricted in time. The bus did not stop, as the bus stop turned out to be closed (though local people told it was not!). We had to take taxi to Rome for just EUR 65. So think twice and plan carefully.

Review 68：Staff was super kind, professional, and accommodating. Excellent location! I grew up in Hawaii and must say the swimming out front of this hotel was Fabulous!! Safe, pretty, a wonderful little after-Rome retreat for those wanting to relax a bit before heading home to the States (or wherever). Will definitely stay here again next time I pass through Rome (will book a couple nights next time to properly soak it in).

Review 88：I can completely recommend this lovely small hotel by the sea in Fiumicino where I stayed for a whole week in April. It is tastefully decorated throughout, I loved my room, with its balcony overlooking the beach and sea, in fact I couldn't tear myself away and spent about 80% of my time there. I was spoiled with glorious sunsets each and every evening. And the hotel and area was quiet at night, even on the weekend. I slept really well. The staff are friendly and helpful. I also liked the area of Fiumicino there are nice walks by the water and lots of restaurant options for lunch and dinner. I can recommend Neri Village on the beach near the hotel where I had a really tasty meal (tagliata di manzo, and house red) watching another great sunset - staff were friendly here too and the manager came around the tables to say "hello" which impressed me. There is also near the hotel in via Porto Romano a brand new launderette I used twice. The mother and daughter who run this launderette "Fortune Wash" are really sweet and you can help them make a success of their new business venture. They washed, dried, and folded my clothes immaculately. So thumbs up for Hotel del Mare and Fiumicino. I was sorry to leave and hope I can return before long. Ciao ciao grazie a la prossima!

Review 89：Over a holiday weekend we found that there was noise until about 2am from a nearby restaurant. Its electricity generator or extractor fan made sleep difficult for some of us.

Review 109：It was easy to get there by taxi (20 euros). When you leave the airportby baggage, go across the street to the local taxis. If the taxi iswhite and says Roma 48e, that's the Rome cab, do not take! The hotelitself is right on the beach. We enjoyed walking a long it and watchingthe sunset. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a cheap room with astrain out the window to see the water. We were only there for a onenight lay over and it was fine! There were a few places to walk to fordinner. For breakfast , there was a giant abundance of things to eat! Itwas the best that I had in all the hotels we stayed at in Europe! Thehotel offers a private driver back to the airport. Please do not ask forthis service last minute! It's a private driver. We asked the nightbefore. It was 18 euros. Also , what was nice. They have bottles ofwater and cups set out for people to have a drink. There was a espressomachine to help yourself. There were pastries left over from breakfastthat we were allowed to help ourselves to . It was a nice snack aftertravelling all day and before dinner. I would stay here again!

Review 110：-When I checked in, I was sent to a room where there is no doornob on the door... Technically I couldn't open the door. I requested the receptionist to change room but initially she stressed the hotel is fully booked and no room free and can't give me another room, which I definitely knew it is not true. Because it was October and not high season for such beach side resort. After I strongly negotiated awhile to find other room, she finally gave me a key for another room. But I was very annoyed by the way they treated me. -To take early flight, I ordered a shuttle to the airport in the early morning. The car costs 25 Euro for short distance to the airport because of the early morning charge. There were 2 other guests shared the shuttle with me and receoptionist explain 25 Euro is a price for one car and us 3 passengers can share the cost. However, the driver after all charged 25 euro for each of us. When I refused to pay the amount, the driver actually tried to send me back to the hotel. If it is a shuttle arranged by the hotel it should be more orgnized and we shall not be over charged. This was not very much good experience I have to say.

Review 113：Comfortable room and bed. The shower was larger than what other hotels have. A very nice breakfast, with fresh fruit and wonderful coffee. It is right across the street from the beach. Good restaurants in the area and walking distance from stores to meet your needs. It was spotlessly clean and the staff went out of their way to help. During our stay the flight back to the United States was cancelled due to a pilots strike. There with no directions from the airlines and they would not respond to telephone calls. One of their management staff not only drove me to the airport to resolve my issue and obtain a different flight, but also waited an hour while I was doing so. I attempted to pay the employee for their time and gas, but they refused reimbursement. May I say this goes way beyond what one would expect from a hotel. Of course a big bonus was having a access to the beach and warm water to swim.

Review 114：Fruit flies in the elevator; neighborhood is not especially friendly; after taking a couple of trains to get there we arrived around 4:00 and all the restaurants were closed until 6:30.

We arrived early and they invited us to have coffee and a light breakfast while our room was getting ready. That evening we asked where we might find coffee and cappuccino and the gentleman on the desk made it for us.

Review 118：We arrived and the room we were given was not what I had booked. We're a couple with two children aged 3 &7. The man at reception called the owner and showed her our reservation for a family suite with two separate double/queen beds. The room we were given had 2 single beds put together and nothing else to sleep on. So, I slept uncomfortably with my children, and my husband slept on the floor. The owner would not place us in another room for the night. We were charged for all the nights there, including the first one when my husband slept on the floor.

The recommended restaurant was closed the one day we were there, but we enjoyed a nice early dinner at another small restaurant down the street. Enjoyed a magnificent sunset. Were sorry to miss the morning continental breakfast that came with the room, but we had to catch our flight. The desk attendant called us a cab and helped us with our bags. I would gladly return!

Review 133：Next to a really good restaurant, opposite the beach, only 10 minutes from Fiumicino. Nice terrace to sit on. Breakfast fine. Staff helpful. WiFi fine.

Review 135：We were greeted by a friendly reception desk who gave a nice place to eat while a room was being cleaned. We were very happy they worked with our limited Italian as well. When we returned the room was ready, the cleaning staff even took the time to say hello to us on the corridore. Room had a great view and patio. Thank you Del Mare!
