Review 1：Although clean the hotel was very dated and mismatched styles didn't make for a great experience.

Review 3：Only one problem... internet service did not reach our third floor room. But able to access in the lounge area and the sofa area on second floor, so just a minor issue.

Turned out cook at restaurant also came from my home village - had a great chat and her mother went to school with my mother.

Review 19：Location - it was almost opposite the station - the plane arrived in Lamezia after last train had left for scalea - the room was as expected for price we only stayed overnight breakfast was coffee and croisants but as expected. Review 50：Very good location. This hotel is valued to overnight traveling from Lamezia Terme airport to the rest part of Calabria. Only 5 minutes from airport by taxi and only 5 min from central rail terminal by walking.

Review 51：*We had two different rooms during Our stay, and they both smelled INCREDIBLY bad; Sewage, mold and cigarettes. * The pipes must be really old, because there was a loud dripping sound coming from the bathroom wall in both rooms, wich, along with all the other noise, kept us up all night. * The hotel owner's dog starts barking from 6 a.m. * The hotel is extremely run down, and not in a cozy way, just old and bad. *The room was very dirty, the toilet hadn't been kleened and there was tracemarks of poo in the bottom and the sides (!), there was something that looked like blooddrops on the extra blanket in the cabinets, and there were stains on the walls, and a lot of brown/yellow stains around the bathroom floor. When I touched the shower curtain my hand got all sticky, so I'm guessing they've never been cleaned....... *Btw when you shower, you need to Clear the floor first, because the water runs out from the bathroom and into the room. *This was definitely NOT Worth 55 euros per night. More like 10 euros per night if you're desperate....

Review 52：*The hotel is situated just few minutes from the airport, and a 1 minute walk to the Train station. *There was an elderly man who worked at the hotel who was very sweet and helpful.

Review 74：I stayed one night at the Piccolo, before having to get an early flight from Lamezia airport the next day. Good value budget accommodation and friendly staff.

Review 75：Old, old and more old. Everything was grossly old. Didn't want to touchthe toilet, with the seat falling off the hinges. Didn't want to go intothe disguisting shower as it was beyond old and dirty. No hot water,only tepid water came out of the shower. Wouldn't use the tap water tobrush my teeth cause it was cruddy! Beds were like cardboard, my Sistersbed hd the slats break when she lied down making a hole in which sheslept. We all slept on top of the bed, not under the sheets because ofthe room condition. The room was a mixture of 1950 1960 left over andbeat up furniture. We tried to speak with the man at the desk when wefirst arrived to say the room was not up to standards and we wanted tocancel our stay and he refused to do so stating he was going to chargeour card if we didn't spend the night. Luckily we had such an earlyflight out in the morning that we only were forced to lie on the bed for3 hours before we left for the airport. 70€ a night! Should cost €20 atthe most! And to top it off there is no one at the front desk during thenight and we couldn't get the front door unlocked from inside to leavethe hotel in the morning. We had to shout "hello, hello" a numer oftimes before anyone came to let us out the front door so we could get tothe car. The whole little place seemed like a boarding house or half wayhouse, no way a hotel. This has topped my well traveled list as the mostdisguisting place I have stayed and wished I had not!

Review 76：It is 10 minutes by car to Lamezia Terme Airport; unfortunately that isthe only thing we liked about the hotel - which should be listed as a"pensione" really not a hotel. Seemed more like a boarding house.

Review 77：The two cockroaches who shared our bathroom for an evening! I think this was just an unfortunate occurrence as the accommodation was clean. The hotel was having some works done to a downstairs bathroom which started at 7.00 a.m. but the owners apologised for the noise and they may well have chosen for the works to take place on this date considering we were probably the only residents in the hotel that evening.

Review 78：Piccolo Hotel was well situated to Lamezia airport. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Fine for a one night stop-over. There was air conditioning (albeit it was rather noisy but worked fine otherwise). The accommodation while dated was clean including the bedding. The breakfast was simple (packets of criossants and french toast with jam) and the coffee was great. I would recommend this accommodation to travellers looking for a cheap overnight stay close to the airport.
