Reviews for La Villa Del Patrizio

Review 1:It was very bad experience. We came at 9pm and waited 45 min to get in only bcz owner was not there, had to call him to come, he was very angry and unhappy with us, rude, stating that all is our fault! It was very hard to figure out wifi, written poorly on main desk, no local phone to call, i would stay away from this place!!!

Review 2:Location close to airport but be aware of rip of 30 euros taxis

Review 3:Poor showering facilities and shower tap broken although usable. No breakfast!

Review 4:Walking distance to Ostia Antica Two good restaurants nearby plus 24/7 cafe adjoining.

Review 5:After obtaining this room late at night and notifying of arriving late there was no one on site. One of the guests opened the gate and let me in. He checked for spare rooms but none to be had, and no water was available. I was totally put out as I had an early flight from Fiumicino the next day. There was no available parking, difficult access via staircase to check in and not one phone call to advise. And now they want to charge me a cancellation fee????

Review 6:There is nothing to like,

Review 7:The free airport shuttle service advertised wasn't really an option.

Review 8:The staff were lovely, for a small fee they even drove us back to the airport. They recommended a restaurant to us which was delicious too. Very friendly.

Review 9:It is inconceivable that a reception should be open only from 6 to 10 pm. We arrived with 2 little children and had to wait for an hour for the reception to open in the middle of the road under the Italian afternoon sun. The rooms are located above a cafe and some bakery and have rather a low ceiling, which makes the rooms stuffy. The area is noisy and at night this noise was further augmented by the sound of air conditioning that started to rattle instead of producing cold air.

Review 10:The price.

Review 11:Everything

Review 12:am not sure i like anything about my stay, i wanted to move out but could not find another place. It was a waste of money for staying in La Villa Del Patrizio

Review 13:No breakfast included even though it is advertised as a "B&B", A/C poor, toilet did not function well, manager rarely on duty, charged $25.00 for pick up and drop off at the airport.

Review 14:Close to a great supermarket, one nice steak restaurant

Review 15:There is no easy way to get here besides an expensive taxi ride. The name indicated B&B but there was no breakfast included.

Review 16:Comfortabl and clean.

Review 17:B&B images and info..are misleading ? false. No garden, no breakfast included..no wifi active, no resident manager..broken tiny TV.. up on bunk bed not secure! loose lighting ceiling /electrical wires. So, nothing 'to' like (check-in only 6-8pm). Night Bakery below, solid bars on room windows (in event of fire..no escape) Noisy vans. Our advise: don't go - pay €8 more (our exp) stay nearby at Ostia Park hotel..with spa/pool for visit to lovely Roman Ruins..1 km away.

Review 18:Only the bathroom..adequate! This is a truck stop in effect ~ bar cafe next door to drown sorrows! No breakfast is included, "get-out" 9 am. You need a car to go simply from here. Its on a 'hurry-thro a road into Ostia Antica town, noisy. Arrogant attitude from owner who arrives to collect payment 9am and get the key..you're out!

Review 19:Noise-road, bar, dogs, cars Rip-off taxi fair from airport. €15 per passenger so can only recommend hotel if you can avoid this taxi.

Review 20:Nice bed, good shower/ WC room; 10-15 mins walk to Ostia Antica site 10-12 mins similar walk to train to Rome Few food options, no space in next restaurant- thankfully bar next door ha patisserie Very cheap for good bedroom

Review 21:Noise from street and hallway and front door buzzer, dogs barking, guests and or bakery employees smoking all night, strong fumes coming into room by vents, smell of bakery. Staff said they would pick us up on arrival, then did not show, we walked along busy road with traffic, dirt and rocks from train station, then called again for more directions and they said we had to be on wrong road when we were in fact a block away.

Review 22:Very Clean, large bathroom, new towels and sheets, comfortable bed, nicely decorated, transfer to airport in professional manner for discounted price. Good recommended restaurant next door.

Review 23:Position on busy main road made walk from station with cases difficult and not ideal for walk into Ostia itself [10mins max] as no pavement. Brilliant if you don't mind bakery smell [was pretty good!] but not so good if you don't.

Review 24:Got exactly what you paid for [except wi fi which wouldn't connect] staff friendly. Got the room with the balcony which is MUCH bigger than most balconies with table chairs etc. room and ensuite very clean. loved bakery next door + great for a beer and snack/pastry etc , very cheap and open all night/very late.10 mins walk to station. Train service good and not expensive.

Review 25:It is not easy to find. You have to take the regional rail out to Ostia Antiqa and walk about 1 to 1.5 km to the hotel. To get there, exit the train station, walk straight ahead to the corner, turn right, walk to the corner, turn right again, and walk over the bridge and down the street. The hotel is on the left side of the street. There is a garden center you walk past with 2 imposing dogs, but they never did more than bark and follow us. As with much of Rome, there aren't really sidewalks, but you do not have to walk in the street either. There was, unfortunately, a loud arguing couple staying there with a child (about age 4) who they let run the halls til 1 or 2 AM, but that is not the hotel's fault.

Review 26:The place was clean and well stocked with towels, tp, etc. Max is a very nice person and was helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. There is a grocery store across the street, as well as a dept. store, there is a dinner place next door with 10 Euro dinners, a gelaterie next to that and a bakery downstairs. So you can get what you need right there. It is also within walking distance of the large archeological site of Roman ruins from the old Roman seaport. It could take you all day to walk through and see all of it. This place makes me think of the type of find that you see on Anthony Bordain's Parts Unknown. It is not in any way in central Rome, but it is well situated between central Rome and the shores of the Mediterranean Sea just 1 regional rail stop away. It takes less than an hour to get to the Vatican on the other side of Rome by rail and metro. There are week passes for the train and metro system that goes all the way to the last regional rail stop and includes busses in Rome.

Review 27:Thumbs up x il simpatico Max! Da Simone

Review 28:The hotel was very nice, the manager and owner were super nice and helpful. free parking. Very nice hotel

Review 29:Next door to a fantastic little restaurant and across the road from a supermarket.
