Reviews for Agriturismo Le Pale

Review 1:We were stopping over for a night in Genoa on way to Geneva from Rome. It was a truly memorable stay. Marco, the owner was very friendly and coperative and greeted us with a big smile. The children loved the ride up the mountain. The appartment was very clean and comfortable, as shown in the photos. And the best of all was the view of the sea. We will definitely stay here again.

Review 2:One bedroom was little bit darker and colder.

Review 3:The apartment location is fantastic (close to main road with shop) . The view from sitting room is beutiful. The apartment is spacious with decent kitchen.

Review 4:The dinner was very average-even though the price is 25 euros p/p - our meals arrived almost cold, we couldn't finish veil -it was simply not good. The wine recommended to us by the staff was also very mediocre. The restaurant is on the top of the hill so the views are great but it is a steep walk uphill and quiet tiring if you are not super fit. The appartment is easily accessible if you are by car but if not-I don't think it is an easy find. We thought for all we've got for our money -it was a bit too expensive to be honest.

Review 5:The appartment was huge but not really the sea side view as it is blocked with the buildings closer to the sea. The owners were super friendly and helpful. The pool and views from it are great.

Review 6:Very nice appartement. Very friendly staff. Nice to have access to a pool. Kids loved that there were WiFi in the appartement. A lot of stairs to climb to the beach, to the Town, to the pool - but we knew that from the begining. See you again! Ciao!

Review 7:Very interesting position on a steep slope, with several terraces, amazing views of the seaside and city. We received an upgrade to apartment (large!) and stayed 2 nights. Good kitchen facilities, large beds, good breakfast. Not the most convenient if you do not like stairs, but we enjoyed it!

Review 8:the downside of the on-the-hill location is that the guests have to climb the stairs all the way up. there is a mono rail, but with our visit it was used twice, with baggage pick up during our arrival and departure. The internet is slow.

Review 9:The hosts were welcoming, giving us tips on where to go and what to see. The property sits on the hill so the visitors enjoy a spectacular view on the town and the sea.

Review 10:This hotel was a stopover on the way to Verona but it turned out to be very enjoyable in its own right. Be aware that a climb is involved, but you can take the mono rail if you're feeling brave. Evening meal was very good along with a local wine.

Review 11:We have stayed in quite a few agriturismo's over the past years and can appreciate basic accomodation but Le Pale was very disappointing to us. Also taking into account that it is not very cheap. The overall very positive feedback given by previous visitors is therefore difficult for us to understand. The place looks/ is very run-down with broken chairs, rotten wood and rubbish everywhere. Maybe the rooms and appartment are ok? The chalet there against is moldy, old and has a terrible bed with the most awful matrasses (old, thin, squeeky, noisy). We couldn't sleep because of that at all. The door couldn't be closed properly (small holes) and the bathroom also has holes in it, so all kinds of bugs visited us day and night.... The shower is the smallest we had ever seen, so we decided to use the sauna-shower. That was very ok, however we did get the feeling of being on a 2-star campingsite having to walk outdoors through grass, rubbish (glass!) and up old stairs in order to reach it. The rooms are cleaned only every three days! For towelchanging that's ok but other agri's at least always change make the bed every day and empty the waste bin. Since the chalet was a room without a kitchen and no appartment we were negatively surprised. The owner very nice though, offered to have the bed made every day after we complained about it. All and all, we feel that this place isoverrated and overpriced for that matter. We loved the town of Bogliasco and will be back there, but will stay at a different accomodation.

Review 12:Pool is nice. Nice view. Breakfast was ok.

Review 13:Hard to find, had to ask some locals for help. Parking area was tiny and near the bottom. The climb to the property was a bit intense. Not for the out of shape. But then once up there, the view was incredible. Owners were super friendly. Absolutely lovely place. Very spacious accommodations.

Review 14:Little trouble in case you do not like climbing 50stairs every time you want to go to town.

Review 15:Great view, good facilities and excellent food, home made. Great pool.

Review 16:Poor wifi

Review 17:Location

Review 18:Only double bedding for trundle. Could use single top sheet and for colder months 2 single quilts.

Review 19:The View. The family feel. Marco was fantastic and it was lovely to speak with him. My Son loved the funicular up the cliff.

Review 20:Furnishings are a bit old and if you don't close your windows, you will find lots of ants and bugs in your room!

Review 21:Very nice family run property with beautiful views of the sea. The owners are very welcoming. There is free parking and they take your luggage up for your on a little train. Bogliasco is a lovely town that is less touristy yet close to Genova and Cinque Terre.

Review 22:Nothing TV was not working but we didnt miss it :).

Review 23:We extend our stay on 2nd day:) , the appartement was very nice and the owners running the place, they are very nice kind people, it is a mountin area , you have to walk but you will injoy. It has very nice veiw to the sea. If i come back sure i will stay there.

Review 24:There was a lot of steps to climb but same as every where in italy butit made up with the views and service.

Review 25:How Marco himself the owner and his wife made us feel so welcome, lovelylocation we actually think its a lot better than genova yet it is only a15 minute drive away, would definitely recomend it just wish we stayedlonger 10 out of 10

Review 26:Just checked out from Agriturismo today after spending a week of Christmas and New Year holidays in this lovely place. We enjoyed very much our time at Marko's. Travelling with friends we booked a 2 bedroom apartment which is located in a separate building about 400 meters from the main plot. It was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay including cooking utensils. We also had a little patio with grill and sun chairs. With a small supermarket just one street down to the sea and being a bit lazy to climb up each morning we visited breakfast and dinner served in the main building only a few times. Dinner is 25 euro for adults/12,5 for children excluding drinks and is a 5-course menu with several options to choose from for every course. The food was great as well as the service. Most of products are homemade or local including delicious pasta which is hand-made by their chef Ms. Regina (the Queen of the Kitchen:-)) Breakfast is 5 euros for adults and 2,5 for kids and is also very nice with good choice including again home-made eggs and jams. The place has great location (Le Pale is the only Agriturismo located so close to the sea in this area!) with breathtaking views of Ligurian Sea. There are plenty of orange and mandarin as well as olive trees and flowers all around. The plot of Agriturismo is huge but it all is located on terraces which is absolutely normal for this rocky seashore and that is why you have to climb up stairs to get to the place. The restaurant and most of apartments are located in same building, except for the one (largest) which we booked. There is a large kids playground and a swimming pool with sun decks. Baby chairs and baby cots are also available. As it was not the swimming season we didn't ask Marko about the closest beach but I believe there are some not far from the place. We went down to the sea once only to enjoy mouthwatering but it was in a rocky place with no water walk-in area.

Review 27:Appartment terrace has a view on a roof instead of see. Quite high - a lot of walking, but instead you will have a great view.

Review 28:Excellent view from the window and comfortable appartment. Play ground for children and swimming pool are great things.

Review 29:The breakfast was typically Italian and could have done with some more fruit and fresh fruit juice. The hot tub was directly under our room so could be a little disturbing.

Review 30:The views from the agriturismo are stunning. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent: great quality an value for money and if you can sit outside on the terrace, do so! We were wary about parking as we have a big car but it was fine and the mono rail was perfect for transporting our bags up the hill. The pool looked nice although we didn't have time to use it. Marco was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Review 31:Nothing!

Review 32:It is a very beautiful, comfortable and calm place - very good for arest!!! My husband and me stayed there in challet - it was amasing! Theagriturismo is posited on a big hill (about 40m) and opens a verybeautiful (about 170') view on a seashore and part of Bogliasco. Theowner of this hotel, Marco, is very kind funny and friendly person. Hemet us at piedmont with his car and helped us to lift up our bags. Onthe top of the top of this mountain there is a restaurant, where you canbook a supper (they says "dinner") for just 50€. The supperconsist of 5 or 6 refined dishes, 3 of them are choosable ;) plusunlimited water and home wine. It is very good suggestion, especiallyfor this price !!! Marco is a farmer - he grows orchids - you will seehim pretty rarely. Also there is an open-air swimming pool, playgroundfor children and also paid jacuzzi-bath on the hotels territory. Myhusband and me got a very much pleasure here!

Review 33:This place has a big problem : the main road is very near and the shapeof the hill works like a Theater wall that amplifies even the slightestnoise from the road. We could not sleep at night so after the firstnight, we left, although we had booked the room for one week and we hadto pay a penalty for leaving early. The breakfast was not somethingspecial but was ok. (Good quality but not so many options) The dinnerwas too expensive: Apetisers, pasta and a glass of wine has costed 62,50euro for two persons !!! When we asked why so much, we got the answer :you must pay for the whole menu even if you want only a part of it. Theproblem is that they did not say that from the beginning when we saidthat we want only a light dinner…! We have travelled a lot, butsomething like that had not happened to us before!

Review 34:The view was wonderful. The people were friendly. The dinner was ok (butunfortunately very expensive). Die Aussicht war fabelhaft. Die Leutewaren freundlich. Das Abendessen war ok (aber leider zu teuer).

Review 35:As indicated by others, a lot of steps need to be taken if you want togo to the beach / town by foot. However, this was known before wearrived and as such not an issue. No other issues

Review 36:The various buildings are located on a beautiful location overlookingbogliasco. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and a bigplus is that the owner (Marco) speaks good English. We stayed in theGardena apartment which was basic but clean and large. More thansufficient parking space at no cost and a splendid little monorail tobring up your luggage. Trust me, with all the stairs this is a blessing!

Review 37:Breakfast was just enough, even though home made jams were delicious. The owners were quite busy with their daily work at the agriturismo, so not much time to chat and ask about the surroundings. Nearly 300 stairs to claim if you go by foot to Bogliasco beach, etc. (Although a good excercise to balance all the tasty food you have eaten...)

Review 38:Plenty of fresh air with an awesome view. We stayed for six nights relaxing and swimming in the pool as well as in the Mediterranean. Home cooked evening meals were delicious, especially pasta with pesto and their oven chicken dish. The owner, Marco, also sells his own very high quality olive oil.

Review 39:Nothing to complain about here!

Review 40:Amazing location on the side of a mountain. Monorail to bring you and your luggage up the mountain if required. Lovely breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
