Reviews for Palazzo De Mori

Review 1:Beautiful location in the walled medieval quarter looking over the harbour. The hotel room was elegant and very well appointed. The breakfast choice was varied and more than adequate. The staff met all our needs.

Review 2:One of the best breakfasts we had, great selection of cakes, cereals etc Great location for exploring the old town and visiting the beach Easy access to the many restaurants in the old town Helpful and attentive staff

Review 3:A b&b, its identity/whereabouts not known to most of the people in the Centro Storico of whom I asked the way - though there were signs on the landward side of the Centro Storico. When we arrived it was closed until 16.30, & we were very lucky to be let in by some people who had arrived the previous day (& had had similar difficulty in gaining admission). We had no car; but there is no access by car & I believe overnight parking outside the Centro Storico is not easy

Review 4:Position, when finally found, overlooking the harbour - very attractive Good bedside reading lights

Review 5:There was nothing we didn't like. Perhaps tea and coffee facilities could have been available in rooms.

Review 6:Great location, great view. Good to have use of balconies. Very peaceful and surprisingly quiet at night given the central location. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Review 7:Breakfast was very basic. You are paying for the location which is excellent but compared to other properties we stayed in in Puglia the rooms were overpriced in our opinion.

Review 8:Location great. Property and rooms both beautiful. Terrace for breakfast was a lovely touch.

Review 9:No place to park the car you had to drive around to find one and it was quite hard to find. Then you had to walk with your bags into the old town. Problem if you have a lot of heavy suitcases.

Review 10:The location was great.

Review 11:Only small problem we encountered: Free wifi requires new login, every time you want to use it and is not reliable.

Review 12:Very nice location! Opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace with very nice seaview.

Review 13:The pillow on the bed was flat as a pancake, making it a little difficult to sleep. Also, our wifi log ins provided only worked for one log in, so as soon as we left the room, we didn't have wifi for the remainder of our time.

Review 14:We had a sea view room, and it was beautiful! Very clean, modern and comfortable for our night in Otronto! The staff was lovely - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the patio was delicious and such a relaxing way to begin the day.

Review 15:Wifi very sporadic. There was a mix up with our bill and we ended up being charged twice, both on the credit card which we had used via Booking.com to secure the room, and also on the card we used at check out. To be fair to the management, they emailed us very quickly to point out their mistake, however we are still waiting for the refund.

Review 16:Stunning property in a great location with amazing views. Our room was very spacious with a double aspect over the terrace/sea to the front and the castello to the side. Mosquito screens to the windows were a very good addition as the mosquitoes were vicious in southern Puglia. The décor is mainly pristine white with some sea blue accents and its beautifully presented. Breakfast was good and served on the charming terrace. 15-20 min walk from the train station, although seemed longer on the way back as mostly uphill. Lots of cafes/restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and we were offered the option of leaving our bags after checkout. Not much English spoken which gave us a great opportunity to practice our italian

Review 17:The staff a bit unpersonal but very professional and effective.

Review 18:The decoration in white of our room, the magnificent terracce and a beakfast very up to date with youghurt, müsli anf frech fruitcocktail. The location inside the walls of the old castle with the sea and seaside walk near by.

Review 19:Some language problems (especially on the phone), we couldn't leave our bags before checking in time. You have to constantly activate the WiFi. Construction works started early next door. But still it was really beautiful so it didn't feel like a big drawback.

Review 20:Beautiful white room with a view to the sea and stunning terrace, where we had some wine at night (we were able to use glasses and plates) and it was the best experience in Otranto. Beautiful breakfast. Location is absolutely beautiful.

Review 21:the wi-fi signal kept dropping off which was annoying but didn't spoil our stay.

Review 22:The B&B is beautiful, all white on white. Breakfast is served on the terrace with the most wonderful view.

Review 23:nothing really

Review 24:I can't imagine there being a better location in Otranto. The Palazzo has a beautiful terrace over looking the port where we spent lots of time. The rooms and decor are chic and relaxed. The staff are also very helpful and owner makes a real fuss. The breakfast is also great.

Review 25:Nothing major, but if I could change something, I would have liked to see the ocean when lying in bed, but the seaview room has a rather highly situated, standard to small sized window, with a perma mesh screen. I think noise from the cafes below may bother some.

Review 26:Loved the big terrace and location was great. Decor nice and crisp/ clean looking.

Review 27:Our room was very small compared with that of our friends & only a little cheaper. The staff were not friendly.

Review 28:Nice location & very clean

Review 29:the location was great. The decore was lovely.

Review 30:Nice breakfast outside

Review 31:Location and opportunity to source the terrace/patio.

Review 32:The location is amazing and there is lovely attention to detail. Very well appointed and comfortable.

Review 33:Wifi needs recoding too often

Review 34:Location, hotel building, dinner excellent, ideal room with terrace

Review 35:Very small room and staff could have been more helpful.

Review 36:Good location.

Review 37:no one around most of time, so hard to get information, help

Review 38:With bag is not easy to Reach

Review 39:Small rooms are SMALL!

Review 40:Excellent Italian breakfast Service View from the balcony the superior double and the suite

Review 41:We would have preferred breakfast outside on the terrace, but for some reason, they seemed reluctant to put tables there?! Despite the view and ease of self service.... Need to be fit to stay here, as lots of stairs both inside and outside the property.

Review 42:The superb views of the sea and harbour from our romantic white room.

Review 43:The breakfast was a bit basic, considering the cost of staying in this b&b, and compared other similar b&bs we stayed in, whilst in puglia. Maybe having eggs and bacon on offer would have been a nice option, as only bread, cheese, salami and cake. Shower was temperamental the first couple of days, we only had cold/ like warm water. However, for the last two days this seemed to have sorted itself out.

Review 44:The location was amazing, the roof terrace lovely, especially when we discovered we could bring our own wine to drink therein the evenings. Also appreciative of the Mori's agreement to have prosecco and fruit for our arrival, to help celebrate our honeymoon.

Review 45:staff was quite unfriendly. we couldnt have breakfast outside because staff didn't want to put a table on the terrace. wifi not working.

Review 46:nice terrace and location, very posh. probably more suited for more senior people than for young people on a roadtrip ;)

Review 47:Very romantic setting. Lovely breakfast room and terrace with views to the bay and all white bedroom with nice soaps and products in the bathroom. Very relaxing.

Review 48:A bit far to transport luggage as place is in the middle of the old town with no car access, but this was the price to pay for the good central location.

Review 49:The situation in the middle of the old town close to everything. Roof terrace with sun in the evening.

Review 50:The only downside is that you cannot park near the hotel as the whole old city is a car free zone. However, you are given a voucher to put on the dash and it allows you to park anywhere on the street for the duration of your stay. Don't let the parking put you off staying here though - the short walk through the old city is worth it.

Review 51:The location is excellent, with beautiful views over the port and the sea. The hotel has a lovely terrace and breakfast is served there. Our room was really lovely, and the whole building has a peaceful ambience.

Review 52:Too many stairs to access the hotel. No staff helping if you have luggages

Review 53:The stunning view from the terrasse. The hotel is beautiful

Review 54:the view of the water from our room was beautiful!

Review 55:Great terrace in front of the see. Historic center old house.

Review 56:very nice, comfortable room great view good breakfast

Review 57:Wonderful views of castle and of the sea. Very friendly receptionist who recommended a great restaurant. comfortable, if very white, room.

Review 58:Rather expensive, comparing other locations in the same area (we were in low season)

Review 59:Beautiful location, very clean room

Review 60:No Parking Facilities Breakfast

Review 61:Sea view Terrace Location Interior Design

Review 62:Beautiful decor in fab location. Breakfast on the roof terrace wa wonderful.
