Review 1：We asked for ground floor rooms if possible for our elderly parents in September only to find out they didn't have any when we actually arrived. Bad communication on someone's behalf and cost us another £70.00 for another double room on the first floor.
Review 2：Excellent location for the return trip from Germany, near the motorway and petrol stations. Friendly staff, brilliant rooms and comfy beds. Sorted out the bed/room problem with little fuss and gave us the best room. Restaurant is very good, breakfast also good, despite the high price.
Review 3：Only French-speaking staff. We were woken up early in the morning by other guests taking a shower due to thin walls.

Review 8：We arrived at dinner time and were very well received by the friendly staff at both the hotel and adjoining restaurant. It was a busy Saturday night and there was only one table left in the restaurant, in a corridor. When I confided I didn't like the table they moved a reservation for us and promptly gave us a cozier place. Room was peaceful and large.
Review 9：Good location, easy to find, plentiful parking, pleasant helpful staff, simple but unlimited breakfast. Free wifi and excellent cable TV, large airy family room.
Review 10：Reception rarely occupied. Floor in bathroom had a hole in it. Restarting and breakfast expensive and nowhere else within walking distance to eat out. Very busy road outside and difficult / dangerous right turn to drive back towards the motorway. Decor rather tired, needs s luck of paint!

Review 12：This property is a working restaurant (very nice one too!) also - there is the risk that noise and smoke from the customers could easily enter the windows of the rooms above. We kept our windows closed for that reason (no air-con, just a fan). The property is elderly and has plenty of character ... and creaky floor boards.

Review 14：The Personal have low English or another Languages skills (except French). I have told 2 times and write a message, that the Ventilator is not working (outside was +35*C), and nobody repaired or changed the Ventilator. Quiet noisy place to stay, if the window is opened.

Review 16：Electric socket hanging off wall exposing live wires. I asked for this to be fixed, it wasn't. Bath panel hanging off. Shower kept going hot & cold. Toilet loose & wobbly. Bed very hard. It looks like the owners spend all their time on the restaurant & not on the hotel part of the business. It just needs some basic maintenance.
Review 17：About 4k from city centre. Pleasant older building. Nice garden. Clean room & bathroom but many things need repairing.
Review 18：We weren't greeted on arrival and found the bar and restaurant prices expensive. The floorboards creaked so much it was impossible to sleep when the neighbour got up early. When the hotel was full, by 6.30 all the hot water had gone.

Review 23：the hotel was located just out of toen but with easy access to the places we wanted to visit during our stay. parking was easy and the hotel has a good ambience. my wife particularly liked the breakfast meal with fresh food, orange juice and coffee the beds were very comfortable and the room was very spacious.

Review 26：Two incidents happened that we didn't take lighthearted. When checking in, I handed over my passport to the female owner. When returning to the reception app. 1 hour later, my passport just laid there on the desk, with no staff in sight. So unguarded and there to grasp, even for passengers on the street. A very unresponsible way of staff to deal with such document! When paying the bill at our departure, the same owner suddenly claimed that we had to pay much more then the price of the Booking-reservation. Since she spoke only French, it was difficult to get the discussion right. Suddenly, she stated that if we would just pay extra for the breakfast (which was included in the reservation price), it would be settled. We did that in the end, since we just wanted to leave a.s.a.p. The case is currently researched by Booking. Because of bad management, a disrecommendation.

Review 30：Easy access from the highway, nice people, good parkingspace and a romantic old style insider. Very much recomendable. Quiet surroundings. It was a quick-rest og our trip, but would have loved to stay a few ekstra days due to the atmosphere. We arrived late evening on Christmas, but no problems. Everything was ready for us. Review 31：Room floor was decidedly spongy with a chair over one especially poor part. A coffee machine but only supplied two coffee bags for the first night , even after being asked received none for second night. Dearest food on our trip but least enjoyable.

Review 33：the room was up three flights of narrow steep stairs, it was in the roof, and not much head room, three steps up, without handrail into a very small bathroom...not for anyone that are less able bodied, as there is no lift.

Review 36：The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and apart from breakfast, there was never staff around to even get a cup of coffee. The bar area was shuttered off so even soft drinks were not available. There is no-one at the reception desk and keys were left on the counter for collection by anybody passing. The entrance to the car park has enormous holes that could potentially take out a car's exhaust or even petrol tank. And you have to lock your door with a key when you are in the room otherwise anyone can walk in (as they did). Finally, the only staff around at all could not speak a word of English - not helpful in today's world.

Review 40：I really loved the Hotel; it was in a perfect location for visiting the Mons Conde canal battlefield and just a short drive to the Grand Place. The restaurant served lovely food and although I see other complained about the price, the 3 of us had a full meal with plentiful wine and drinks for 50 Euros each. Lovely gardens and plentiful parking and easy access to the ring road.

Review 78：When booked we also paid for 2 x breakfast. We advised them on arrival that we would be leaving early as we had to get to the Ferry Terminal but were told this was not a problem staff would be there to make a breakfast for us. When we went down there were no staff we waited 15 mins but no staff appeared so we left. Not happy that they charged us for something they said was not a problem but that did not provide. Obviously no one around to try to obtain a refund. The hotel in general especially the toilets were not clean. Would not go back or recommend.

Review 80：Unfortunately service in the restaurant was very slow - we waited nearly two hours for our main course to arrive Bathroom in our room (No 9) needs some care - shower rail was hanging off the wall and shower head clogged.

Review 82：Road noise!! It is adjacent to a busy road and the motorway is not far away. We were there in spring so it was ok to keep the window shut at night. But in summer it must be impossible to sleep. Although it was a corrected after we complained, the room was not cleaned or made up. The standard of décor and floors tired and urgently needs to be refurbished. There was no proper shower only a hand held in the bath. One of the two hall way lights had failed making it very difficult to see as there was no natural light. It remained unrepaired the following day.

Review 84：Bathroom facilities are in need of update. I had a very poor shower head which trickled water and a leak incident from the ceiling.
Review 85：The staff makes the hotel... The hotel can boast a very very loyal and hard working staff. The restaurant and breakfast food are excellent, with good choice. The staff is devoted to make your stay pleasant. I had an incident (leak from the ceiling from someone taking a bath above my room) and the young lady on duty and her boyfriend provide me with help, mopping the floors and offered me a cup of tea. They turned a potentially bad situation into an small incident, without fuss.
Review 86：Bed sank in middle, duvet didn't reach the sides. Stayed for two nights but no room service - bed left unmade, no fresh towels and used cups lefted and no coffee refill for second night.

Review 91：The room was not clean enough and during my stay, rain was going through the ceiling and some of my stuff get wet and destroyed. None of the staff take action even though I insisted to change my room. They first told me that they did not have any vacant room but later changed my room. Therefore, I left the hotel three (3) days earlier, even I paid all the money in front. They did not reimburse my money. Additionally, Staff was not either friendly nor being responsible. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody else.
