Reviews for Hotel De La Ville

Review 1:Comfort rooms are newly refurbished but a little small.

Review 2:Staff was very friendly, breakfast buffet was very varied and included a small selection of gluten-free products. The location is really strategic in between the beaches and the historical center and close to an amazing gelato place called Puro & Bio.

Review 3:The hotel has no outside space to sit in the evening, and no balcony. The bar had a limited selection of drinks.

Review 4:The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. A great shower! Good situation for access to an excellent beach.

Review 5:Our friends stayed in a recently renovated room and found the wardrobe rack to be too high to hang their clothes. In a word the wardrobes would work well for basketball players and not for normal size folks. Our room which was older was just fine.

Review 6:Our host Luca and his staff were so friendly, excellent and extremely responsive. Food was outstanding. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant almost every day and we were there for 10 days. That says a lot about the quality of the food. Location is great too - 10 minutes walk to the beach and just a few minutes into town.

Review 7:some of the staff were in a so-so attitude. Bar items are a bit expensive for this kind of hotel

Review 8:renovation are great. food was excellent. not bored with regulations,

Review 9:They take care of you like an old-school hotel. They look after you, make and take phone calls for you at the desk, and prepare excellent meals. I ate there for nearly every meal because of the high quality food and the personal, thoughtful service (e.g. the waiter Luke suggesting a better dish than what I ordered for less money because he knew what was freshly brought in that day; or making a meal for me after lunch had ended and they knew I hadn't eaten yet because I just got in)

Review 10:The location is central - which means it is LOUD. The problem isn't just traffic noise: when I stayed Fano was in the middle of hosting a carnival, which meant there was a fantastically loud amplified rock band playing immediately beneath our window. The staff assured us that it would only go on until 'midnight or one in the morning at the latest' - which, if you're not Italian and/or not in the mood for a carnival, is not what you want to hear! The general vibe was of a hotel for people who were in Fano for the beach and a late-night party rather than to sleep. I expect most people in Fano *are* there for the beach and a party - but as a middle-aged couple in town for a wedding we were not best pleased. If you're just passing through, you're probably better off in one of the hotels further out of town.

Review 11:The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating - we were made to feel very welcome!

Review 12:the breakfast buffet was only sweet things....seems like some eggs would be easy enough

Review 13:modern decor - felt updated and it was very comfortable bed and spacious room. Allowed my dog and easy last-minute booking. Thanks!

Review 14:Well, partly my fault, but their outlets seemed to be different thaneverywhere else I traveled in Europe. My converters worked in Barcelona,Rome, Prague, Munich and Amsterdam, but not in the hotel in Fano. Maybeits a regional thing?

Review 15:Friendly Staff, Good Location, Nice Clean Place

Review 16:The friendly staff

Review 17:Location and Staff are fantastic. Comfort Double(Plus) is really good!!

Review 18:Wooden floors, you can hear every foot step of other guests

Review 19:Location

Review 20:wash basin was placed outside the bathroom which meant kids were disturbed when parents went to bed.

Review 21:Really nice chap (son of the owner) who made reccomendations on pasta dishes and wine and was really nice to the kids

Review 22:I loved the location. You don't need transportation to get to the beach or for shopping. I felt at home as soon as I came in. Staff is really friendly and helpfull. The food is great. We will come back to this hotel for sure.

Review 23:great place to stay the restuarant fab the son who runs it was really good and never stopped working shame about the beaches to many people find the sand between unbrellas town was great

Review 24:The shower cabinet was tiny - I'm slim but could barely fit inside. Building and room a bit worn out, but apparently some new "superior" rooms will be ready very soon.

Review 25:Friendly staff, value for money, breakfast included. Minibar in room.

Review 26:room wasn't ready at check in heating didn't work for first two nights and was very cold bed broken shower door broken work men drilling hammering sanding etc at 7am and lasting all day

Review 27:location

Review 28:I would have preferred a fresher breakfast with more options, but they made fresh coffee/espresso drinks of your choice and there was no "machine" coffee!

Review 29:The hotel was fairly comfortable, and very clean - and the staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently. It had a little bit of the feel of a hostel, as the staff were all in their 20s and 30s and the feel is casual. But the coffee was great; breakfast was fair. The location is close to the beach & shopping districts, and parking is no problem or cost on the nearby streets. The beach area seems fairly touristy, but the hotel is far enough away from it to be quieter.

Review 30:Nice english speaking straff. In the sister Hotel across the street there is very nice restaurant (hotell guests get 15% discount) were we had the most fantastic Fish Soup wich I Can recommend (made by the wife of the owner).

Review 31:Just perfect! We spent there a week and were very happy with everything! The restaurant is excellent, the hotel staff is nice and helped us with every little thing we wanted! Mr ori the restaurant manger and one of the hotel owners is a great guy! His family owns the hotel and they were very nice all of them always with a smile and trying to help! Highly recommended!!!!!

Review 32:The staff was amazing! So kind and helpful ther restaurant in the hotel is very very good, better then the restaurants we tried in town. The entire experience was excellent!!!! Highly recommended

Review 33:Parking a bit of a chore.

Review 34:The food !!! Sea food is fantastic. The staff, friendly and helpfull.

Review 35:air conditioning did not work.
