Review 1：Absolutely loved this little gem of a hotel. Wonderful location with commanding views of both the valley and the historic center of Montone. The owner was incredibly nice and catered to our every need. We loved our room and it actually had the biggest bed I've ever seen in Italy. Would definitely come back in the Summer so that we could use the pool.
Review 2：Cardaneto turned out to be very hard to find. (Not known on Google Maps,nor on our gps). When we eventually arrived, we had to search foranother half hour to find the owner, which made us feel not verywelcome. Breakfast was rather limited compared to other breakfasts wehad during our stay in Italy (we know that Italians eat mostly sweetfood for breakfast, but every other B&B served us alsocheese/cold cuts...). On the second morning, we were asked to leavethe table we had taken, since it was reserved by other guests (but thiswasn't indicated). Rooms have no key.
Review 3：The buildings are excellently renovated and the rooms beautifullydecorated (owner is a former antiquarian). The view on Montone isbreathtaking. The swimmingpool is very nice.

Review 5：A perfect spot, with stunning view of Montone, peaceful, superb rooms in a traditional style, wonderful dinners, kind, generous and helpful hosts. And a 20-minute walk to Montone - a charming little town with a remarkable museum and splendid views.
