Reviews for B&B Villa Casablanca
Review 1:The owners are nice and helpful. It felt like being in someone's home not just a rental place. The owners home is right above but they still kept the guests bit like it was their own private quarter. It was all very clean and comfortable. The house is lovely with a pretty garden and friendly dogs. Parking was easy and we could park within the grounds. Breakfast was in a lovely breakfast room
Review 2:Loved this B&B! The hosts were very kind and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were spacious and immaculate! I highly recommend staying there!
Review 3:this was by far the best B and B we experienced during a 3 week tour of Sicily. The grounds are relaxing, the hosts were charming, helpful and accommodating, and the room was quiet, comfortable and well equipped (two reading lights, extra pillows, etc). The location is perfect for trips to the wonderful Roman Villa as well as Enna and the surrounding hilltop towns. We would have been happy to stay a week. (And, yes, we liked the friendly but well mannered dog)
Review 4:Absolutely nothing.
Review 5:Lovely room in a beautiful setting; we echo all the positive comments already said about this property - great location if you have a car; tasty buffet breakfast; beautifully furnished rooms; friendly dog; very quiet and peaceful. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night.
Review 6:If you don't have a car, the location is a bit inconvenient, though it is on bus line for Piazza Armerina
Review 7:Beautiful B&B, excellent breakfast, very helpful staff. Nearby restaurants good.
Review 8:Feels a bit like intruding on a family. Very loud quarrel on the terrace when I tried to nap.
Review 9:Nice owners, good room and breakfast. Very nice resident dog.
Review 10:A distant neighbor had a dog that persistently barked throughout the night.
Review 11:Galaria was exceedingly helpful, contacting airport officials to inquire about our lost luggage. Her B & B had a nice terrace to relax and read/eat. She had a great breakfast each a.m. The room was large and comfortable and bathroom facilities very nice.
Review 12:The B&B is in a lovely, quiet setting where we could relax after busy days spent sight-seeing.We stayed three nights in a spacious comfortable room from where we were able to walk straight out on to the terrace and enjoy the beautiful garden. Galaria and her husband are great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good and we had lovely meals at the restaurant they recommended.. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 13:There was absolutely nothing we didn't like during our stay!
Review 14:Very friendly reception upon arrival and very attentive and helpful customer service throughout. Great Breakfast! We borrowed bikes to ride around Lago di Pergusa and had excellent help fixing and adjusting these bikes to a 6.4 ft. guy (like me)
Review 15:To leave was sad.
Review 16:This hotel is like a gracious farm house in the middle of the country side. The pictures at face book were true to the real spot. Beautiful spacious room with terrace. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Closeby good restaurants.
Review 17:Breakfast was poor, compared to other places we stated in Sicily. Everything was from supermaket, except boiled eggs prepared by host. Poor sound isolation.
Review 18:The host was friendly. Some restraunts within walking distance about 600 m. Good playground for the kids. Nice garden. Good location to stay on the way to Etna.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:The bnb is located close to Pergusa Lake. It has spacious rooms and welcoming hosts, they even speak very good English. (Not that common in Italy). The breakfast is really good.
Review 21:We were woken by dogs barking at 6.30am.
Review 22:The villa is in a rural setting close to Enna amid a lovely garden and provided secure parking. The hostess, Galatia, was very welcoming and provided a huge breakfast.
Review 23:We arrived a bit late at night having suffered heavy traffic on the way. The lady of the house was there to greet us warmly. In the morning we walked through the lovely garden before a hearty breakfast. We left feeling the warmth of our hosts.
Review 24:Very welcoming family home, colourfully and tastefully decorated. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Spacious room scented by wisteria outside. Extensive buffet breakfast Lovely terrace and extensive garden shaded by pines, serenaded by Nightingales. Close to village but up a quiet lane, well signed from main road. Gated on-site parking. Restaurants and lake within a ten-minute walk along pavements. A good base for Enna & the incredible Villa Romana a Casale.
Review 25:The fact that hat we couldn't stay longer!
Review 26:From the moment the security gates opened we were bowled over by Villa Casablanca. Off the beaten track somewhat and close to some very good restaurants and lesser-known tourist sights, it served as our 'quiet rest stop' for two nights on our big Sicily tour, and as soon as we got out of the car I realised we'd made the right choice - the owner lady, despite not speaking English, was incredibly welcoming, as was her English-speaking daughter who checked up on us later. The grounds are lovely (I wish we could come again in the summer) with two patios, a small playground, olive trees, cacti and a shelter, plus a friendly resident dog. The room we were given was gorgeously decorated (in fact, that can be said of the whole property) and very comfortable and had a good-sized bathroom. Also, the breakfast room was big, bright, and well-stocked with Italian breakfast goodies.
Review 27:Wel love this place..,it has a very nice garden with great view. The room was spacious and facing to the garden. The best part it has a parking inside the compound.
Review 28:It was not right in the town, but not far way, the peace and quite is the first thing you notice, you do hear the barking of the dogs, unfortunately this continued on during the early hours in the morning, it was dogs just doing their thing, it didn't ruin our overall visit. The place was fabulous clean and tidy, rooms were the best we have stayed in so far, the staff very helpful and attentive. Great breakfast, We will go back there if in that area.
Review 29:Signposting is misleading. More signs needed as road names not visible.
Review 30:Great location, lovely views, large comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, free bicycles, welcoming coffee, great breakfast. Close to old town of Enna.
Review 31:A wonderful place to stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful and always up-beat. (Need anything? Call out "Gabriella!") We stayed nearly a week very happily.
Review 32:The only suggestion we have is to renew the sign-posting from the main road through Pergusa to the hotel as the signs are quite faded. We DID find the place relatively easily but we crawled through the town and looked very carefully and by chance my husband discovered the first sign and I saw the second one, but we could just as easily have overlooked them in the dark.
Review 33:We arrived in the middle of the night after a late flight to Catania and delays in getting our hire car. Galaria was still up and waiting to show us to our room. (We had asked re. late arrival via the booking.com website when we booked but also sent a mail directly to the hotel a couple of days before which was acknowledged) Galaria was most friendly and attentive throughout our stay, too, without being in any way invasive of our privacy.Car parking is very easy with a spacious car park to the left of the entrance to the property - not always our experience in Sicily. No narrow, steep driveways or awkward corners to negotiate which was most welcome, especially late at night with a strange car!Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 10.30 a.m. and is absolutely delicious with lots of choice including home made cakes, fresh fruit, etc. The lady who serves it and cleans (think her name is Gabriela) was also extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble to her - not even our daily request for additional hot water for extra tea!We sat on the large terrace outside our room (I think at least 3 of the 5 rooms look on to the terrace) a couple of times in the evening which was most pleasant. Eating is understandably not allowed in the rooms but no-one seemed to mind us having some 'nibbles' and a glass of wine outside.Wi-Fi access was the best of the 3 places we stayed in Sicily this year. Password is provided in a prominent place in the room and everything worked perfectly. We stayed for a total of 4 nights and found the location ideal for visiting Enna, the Roman Villa at Piazza Armerina, the excavations at Morgantina, etc. (as long as one has a car). The Lake of Pergusa itself is a bit of a non-starter with a car racing track all round it but on the Sunday evening we walked round to the Hotel Riviera and had drinks overlooking their pool and the lake (without really seeing the racing track!) Dinner in their restaurant was also very pleasant.
Review 34:The rails in the wardrobes could only be reached by giants! A small fridge or minibar in the room would be helpful. But overall it is an excellent B&B.
Review 35:This villa is set in peaceful surroundings and one has views over vineyards and countryside. Yet it is only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the restaurants and supermarket sited on the main road through Pergusa. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful and are delighted to make recommendations on places to eat. The villa is spotlessly clean and breakfast is good. One can select from fresh fruit, cereals, bread with cold meats, cheese and egg, and home-baked pastries. There is a small garden/grounds area one can walk around and outside chairs for relaxing. We would definitely return here if looking for accommodation in this region.
Review 36:The villa is located in the vicinity of Enna, it has its own garden and parking space. The staff is very friendly, however speaks only Italian. The rooms are spacious, very neatly decorated and named after flowers instead of being numbered (we lived in Mimosa room). We had there only one night, thought I would stay there for several days to enjoy the fresh air (there are pines in the garden) and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is various and sufficient, there were also tables outside, so that you can have a cup of coffee sitting in the garden.
Review 37:The host was very kind and helpful. He waited for us until we arrived at night. The B&B has clean and comfortable rooms, large toilets and is located in a quiet area. Breakfast was very good, with many varieties and fruits from the garden. Congratulations to the host, Angelo.
Review 38:the location is a bit far from the highway and not so easy to find (specially if you are arriving during the night). Water pressure in the shower was very poor and at some point water was not warm enough.
Review 39:The host was so kind and waited for us until we arrived after midnight. the villa is clean with comfortable beds and spacious rooms and toilets. Breakfast had many varieties and was so good.
Review 40:Awesome place to stay and wake up in the garden. Friendly host, clean and nice

Review 47:Good location, clean, good staff, nice garden
Review 48:Host was so welcoming after difficult drive Gave us a kettle in our room so we could make cups of tea
Review 49:We used the free bikes to discover the area.
Review 50:If you don't have a car, it will be hard to reach as it's some distance from Enna.
Review 51:Great garden with hammocks and a nice breakfast.
Review 52:I liked breakfast, location, the site
Review 53:None
Review 54:Location, inner design, friendly owners, cleanliness...
Review 55:Not cheap.

Review 57:Children's playground was our two daughters’ favourite place. One evening we ate at "Al Carrettino" where food was excellent.

Review 77:The room,garden
Review 78:Very pleasant location, great breakfast. Great restaurant recommendation (DA Carla?)
Review 79:You need a car if you want to visit something
Review 80:Big clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was fine.
Review 81:The kindness of the staff, the room was huge and nice. The possibility of using the bikes to ride in the Pergusa Lake.
Review 82:The positioning of the shower was dangerous, the opening of the shower was on a step. The breakfast was not good, it was very average.
Review 83:It was inexpensive. The air-conditioning was good. There was an excellent restaurant in the village. The name of the restaurant was Al Carrettino. The food was excellent ,at a very reasonable price. The staff of the restaurant were very attentive. It closes on Tuesdays we ate at Da Carlo where the food was more expensive but not of the same standard.
Review 84:In Pergusa there was little choice of restaurants. Went back to Franco's, but not of choice. A drive into Enna would have found better, but didn't fancy the drive.
Review 85:The family running the B & B were lovely and helpful. The room was large, if a bit orange, and had doors on to the large terrace. The breakfast was simple but adequate. Very peaceful.
Review 86:Missed the turnoff sign the first time- had to be very alert to see it-
Review 87:The friendly owners Good location near Villa Romana, a site we visited the next morning Quiet and comfortable lodging
Review 88:not many restaurants in the immediate area
Review 89:The area around Enna turned out to the most beautiful part of Sicily from a landscape photographer's point of view - much more appealing than the eastern and southern parts of Sicily. Driving was also much easier here than the northern and eastern parts of Sicily. The B&B was in a very quiet country location, and while a bit difficult to find initially but once there access was quite easy. The staff were friendly and the breakfast and room were excellent.
Review 90:Very nice place! We loved everything: the room (so lovely personalized), the bathroom (big and clean), the garden, the breakfast (amazingly rich), lots of books and paintings. Lovely hosts. The villa is in a green area.
Review 91:We had a lovely time at Villa Casablanca. Our room was very spacious and great value for money, and we greatly appreciated having parking on site. The breakfast was very solid, and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. We would recommend this place to anyone eager to explore Enna, Piazza Armerina, and the rest of central Sicily.
Review 92:This is a really good spot for stopping off when travelling across the island. We were going from a visit to Piazza Armerina to Santa Flavia near Palermo and Pergusa was perfect. This b&b was excellent value, beautifully and we hada lovely room. Also the people in the local pasticceria were most welcoming when we popped in for something to eat. Nearby Enna has some interesting places to visit and is in a stunning location.
Review 93:Perhaps the bathroom needs somewhat refreshing but this is more like a personal opinion rather than something we disliked.
Review 94:The location is great, the house and the garden both look gorgeous and the staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is quite good for Sicilian standards. The room we had was quite spacious and comfortable.
Review 95:Restaurant nearby was terrible. Go to Enna.
Review 96:Peace & quiet. Moonlight coming through patio doors to our room.Scent of wisteria in the outside air. All for 50 euros!!!
Review 97:Nothing to mention
Review 98:We stayed in a doble room - the place is fantastic, the location in itself. Privacy (each double room had a separate entry), beauty, nature, peace & quiet. It was great to have an airco in the room - we were there in March and it really made a difference to be able to increase the temperature of the room at night. Was also very confortable to have the mini kitchen setup in the room - we could make ourselves a nice tea after shower. Breakfast was abundent. Really lovely yard - woudl have loved to be able to spend the day there - just chill, enjoy the peace and the nature and the sun. Definitely would come back with family/ kids here. Staff was nice - we arrived later than annonced and that wasn't a problem, they even printed our boarding card. Couldn't spot the lake - so don't count on it. Also, do not wast more than the time for a quick stroll in Enna - take a look at the scenery around the city and head for the villa with mosaics right away. The city itself seemed worthless to me, not quite appealing from a food perspective and not tourist friendly.
Review 99:We just stayed one night during our trip through sicily. The person who gave us the keys to the room did not speak much english, but it was absolutely no problem. The room was just perfect with a direct access to the terrace. The owners two dogs were so friendly and funny. Breakfast was amazing.
Review 100:It would be nice to have a ligth to iluminate the parking place at nigth.
Review 101:Enna is an enchanting place at the top of Sicily! The place is easy to find, very beautiful, and we have had a friendly reception and good acomodation.
Review 102:B&B Casablanca is in a manor house with big and beautiful yard, very close to a nice restaurant. It is a really good place to stay in Enna. We were warmly welcomed by the owner's family. Room was big, clean and comfortable. The decoration was elegant. My room was facing the terrace with a door connect to it. My daughter was so happy to play in the yard. There were two baby swings and other toys for her to play. 3 goats and owner's cute dog grasp all her attentions. Our whole families are like there very much and definitely will come back again. BTW, the breakfast was excellent, many choices.
Review 103:The location was in the middle of nowhere with a little town that had nothing to offer. The lake is actually an unkept pond.
Review 104:The owner was so sweet and really fussed over us..he was hot! The breakfast was great!
Review 105:Bed was a little too springy for our comfort.
Review 106:The accommodation is situated in its own grounds, convenient for visits to the ancient Greek site of Morgantina and the extraordinarily well- preserved Roman villa at Casale. We had a large, comfortable room with a good-sized bed and doors opening out on to the large terrace. Breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice of food and beverages. The owners were welcoming and helpful.
Review 107:The surrounding area does not have any redeeming features.
Review 108:We were treated very well and the breakfast was excellent. the rooms were very clean and the parking facilities ample and good.
Review 109:The warm welcome as son as you step your foot in such a very well keptVilla. The owners are really nice and helpfull..breakfast was awesometoo.. 100 % reccomend
Review 110:Nothing.
Review 111:Excellent value lovely room, clean with good breakfast included.Owner/staff very pleasant.Secure parking reasonably close to good restaurants.Would recommend
