Set inside Monte Ortobene Park, Casa Solotti is at an altitude of 2,700 feet. Just 2.5 miles from Nuoro, this country house offers a peaceful location and a 3000 m² garden. Parking is free.
A continental breakfast including homemade cakes is served out on the terrace with the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. There are a number of restaurants and pizzerias at the top of Monte Ortobene, a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk away.

Review 2：Whenever visiting Sardegna and Nuoro the Casa Solotti is a must. Location, rooms, breakfast, library and lots and lots of information. Fabulous!!!
Review 3：It's a little off the beaten track on a mountain close to Nuoro. It takes you about 15 minutes into town. But it is a beautiful location with great view. So it is also an upside, depends on what you are looking for

I got great in depth tips concerning hiking, festivals, local villages and restaurants. He even writes you maps. :-) Best breakfast on Sardinia so far with homemade yoghurt for example.

Review 7：We booked this small place for one night during our round trip and this was just lucky. The owners are the loveliest people. They instantly helped ous out with recommendations for restaurants and tours. Just ask them for help. Rooms are modern and clean and have an amazing view. Our best room on the island.
Review 8：If you need good internet connection, then it might be that in your room it does not work. However, there is a computer available and wi-fi works well in the common area.
Review 9：The host of this wonderful place, Mario, gave me the feeling of his personal guest. And he really helped me with the best advice of what to enjoy in the surrounding area. Room was nice and comfortable and breakfast tasty. I can highly recommend this place if you want to get the real local taste of Sardinia and the kindness of its people.

Review 13：Mario greeted us on our arrival, and was keen to share knowledge about where to go and what to see in the area, and Frederique was lovely too. They share the running of their business and cook a very good dinner! The room was large and had an extensive view of the mountains and sunrise, and the bathroom was modern and clean.

Owners were very helpful with advice of where to visit - and advised on local eateries if they were not providing an evening meal. If you are offered the option of eating in - the meal was excellent!

Review 24：We very much enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The owners are lovely people, very welcoming and friendly. They gave us very good advice on what to do and where to eat, which was very appreciated. The house is very beautiful and has stunning mountain view. The room was very clean and comfortable. Best of all, was the breakfast, home-made yogurt, home made pastry with ricotta and honey and fresh orange juice, it was simply delicious. We would strongly recommend this place.
Review 25：We stayed two nights here during our honeymoon and had a great experience. Our room had great views, the bathroom looked super new and the owner is super friendly. He gave us great tips about the region and the homemade yoghurt is to die for.
Review 26：Most of all we've liked the excellent location: woods, quietness, fresh air. On the other hand, close to the city of Nuoro with many interesting museums and other places of interest. The breakfast was very good, most of it homemade. You can also have dinner (except on Sundays) and it is also very good. At the table you can communicate with the other guests, so the atmosphere is really friendly and relaxing. The host Mario suggests sightseeing points all over Sardinia, and explains how to get there.

Review 43：We were warmly greeted by Mario and Frederica. Breakfast was tasty. If you wish, you can take dinner at Casa Solotti. The meals were always more than delicious. The room was very clean and well equipped. The atmosphere was very pleasant thanks to the warm personality of the host family. Wifi is not always perfect in the rooms, so sometimes you have to move to the living room. You can also use the family computer.

Review 64：The mountain top location gives wonderful views, yet there are also two restaurants nearby. We had the advantage of the large balcony. The house has very interesting items throughout. We liked the room with some self-catering facilities and delicious breakfasts with pretty tables on balcony. Friendly, helpful hosts who were keen to describe local points of interest and help arrange activities. Visit to cheese farm was very special.
Review 65：Thanks a lot for this pleasant stay at your house Mario & Frederique! This B&B is totally recommendable, due to it's travel and sightseeing recommendations from its hospitably owners. Also the place has its own magic within the Mountain area of Ortobene. Fresh air and nature everywhere. Rooms are very clean and decorateted with love and in a proper style. Mario helped us a lot when we had a flat tyre and took communication with our car rental. We will defenately come back!

Review 68：Great place to stay! not only because of its peaceful and beautiful location, but also because Mario and Federica are so lovely people that they made you feel at home! Mario is very knowledgable about all the history of Sardinia as well as the surroundings and can give you better advice than the common guide books. Besides, he speaks several languages! The rooms are big, clean, with good heating and very comfortable. Breakfast is great, with local products and the best ricotta you will ever taste! During our staying, my husband was hospitalized in Nuoro, and both Federica and Mario were very supportive. It was four distressing days buy they made me feel I was not alone, Mario even came with me to the hospital to talk to the doctors... I cannot be more grateful! We will certainly come back some day!!!
