Reviews for Villa Battista
Review 1:Difficult to find while driving in the dark. Signage very small. Lack of electric outlets for chargers
Review 2:Comfort & style. Location close to Herculaneum Secure parking on site Partner restaurant, Re Lo, was excellent
Review 3:Winter hours. Ercolano closed at 1500 so we had to go twice.
Review 4:The room had a mezzanine aspect with single beds above a small sitting room. The house is palatial with private parking for 5 euros extra. 10 minutes walk from the site of Ercolano.
Review 5:The rooms are in a very nice design but you need to know that some of them have two levels with a bed on the second one and no handrail for the stairs. Stairs are also quite steep, which could be an issue for family with little children or elder guests. There is no private parking, but you can use the free parking lots just 50 meters away. We also had issues with WiFi in our room.
Review 6:Very nice designed hotel on the 1st floor of an antic villa. Super location to visit the volcano or even to go to Napoli. Also close to another little town Torre Del Greco, where in the port, there is a great fish & seafood restaurant called Voce del Mare. Breakfast was okay, but only with sweet things.
Review 7:Great location it you are visiting archeo sites (scavi) such as Herculaneum or Pompeii. This is an apartment converted into individual suites. Feels comfortable. Privately run, where the owner/manager cares about his guests and the business. They also own a restaurant and wine shop - both within walking distance with plenty to choose from. Tasteful breakfast to compliment. Overall great bnb to stay at.
Review 8:Not one thing
Review 9:The Villa Battista is located on an entire floor in a 6th century building in the heart of Herculaneum. It has been meticulously restored and beautifully decorated in modern, clean style. The room was enormous- the bed comfortable, the balcony idyllic and the bathroom with its surround shower- Spectacular. The staff was fantastic and attentive to my satisfaction- the manager picked me and my suitcase up from the nearby Circumvesuvian line and made sure I was settled. The breakfast was bountiful and delicoius. The Villa Battista is conveniently located a few blocks from the entrance to Herculaneum archaeological ruins, an easy 15 minute walk to the Circumvesuvian train station, shops, restaurants and pharmacies. Easily accessible by train from Naples and a 10 minute train away from Pompeii. This little gem was so fantastic- I wish I would've planned my stay here to have been much longer.
Review 10:Concert in the park next door was extremely loud. We were leaving for the airport early the next morning and the concert did not finish until 1am. No one at reception when we came back at 7pm or when we had to leave the following morning at 7.30am.
Review 11:Location excellent for Herculaneum and train into Naples. Room was good size and very comfortable. WIFI was good. Elevator for luggage. Parking close by free of charge. 20mins from airport.
Review 12:Perfectly placed for the Ercolano Scavi with free parking next door. Really modern rooms within a slightly dilapidated building and great views from the terrace outside the breakfast room.
Review 13:The house is located on the neglected area that does not match the house itself,
Review 14:The building where the apartment is 1912, a stunningly beautiful building. The apartment is very clean, decorated amazing, very warm welcome from the Owners.
Review 15:You have to wake up around 7:30-8:00, as they are preparing the beeakfast room and somw guests start their breakfasts, that means a lot of noise. Besides, there isnot much left from the breakfast if you prefer to have later, around 10:00. Ercolano is close to Pompei, Napoli, Sorrento, etc but there is nothing do so in the town.
Review 16:Clean, big rooms, comfortable bed, wifi, parking nearby. Staff is very helpful, especially Manuelle solves any problems.
Review 17:We are totally satisfied with our 3 nights stay at the villa. The hosts are very pleasant, the food is fine, the safe parking at the back yard appeared to be a very useful thing too:)
Review 18:La struttura e' stata appena rinnovata, l'edificio e' storico ma nelle stanze le attrezzature ed i servizi sono modernissimi, lo staff gentilissimo e disponibile
Review 19:It would have been nice to have access to the car park to keep belongings secure. We had no issue with the available free on street parking which was plentiful
Review 20:We really enjoyed the modern touch in an old style building. The lift up to the second floor and then through the doors into a tasteful peaceful havem. The welcome was friendly and calm with being offered a tea or coffee (always nice after the usual tenseness of negotiating a strange city and not being 100 percent sure what the place yoou have booked will turn out like). Only about 5 months since opening there were minor finishing off jobs that still needed doing (some light fittings) but we would return to explore more of the area.it was also nice to be able to access the tea and coffee machines in the breakfast room. Great views from the terrace.
Review 21:Closer to the train station Ercolano Miglio D'oro. However, the walk from this station at night isn't so pleasant. An extra blanket will be nice.
Review 22:Friendly. Decent breakfast. A 10-minute walk to the Herculaneum archeological site.
Review 23:The WiFi signal was on and off the whole time, most of the time it was really hard to get reception at all, especially in the Superior suite. The breakfast left room for improvement, it consisted mainly of different kinds of store-bought sliced bread, cold cuts and processed cheese, portion sized packs of jam, Nutella and butter and also store-bought croissants and cakes.
Review 24:The staff were really helpful, the rooms were cleaned and tidied up every day (a little too enthusiastically for my liking; even clothes hung on backs of chairs were folded). Clean towels and toiletry were also provided daily. At breakfast, the staff also served up coffee.
Review 25:WiFi could have been better in our room but was obtainable in the dining area
Review 26:Villa Battiste was ideally situated for visiting the historical sites from Sorrento to Naples, via the circumvesuviana railway. We had no need for a car. Herculaneum was within walking distance. Nothing was too much trouble for Marlene and Mauritzio.
Review 27:Ercolano itself is a dirty town
Review 28:Staff welcoming and very helpful
Review 29:Very nice staff Excellent location Quiet rooms. Great for rest.
Review 30:Great location near Herculaneum (10 min walk) and train station. Quirky room decor and nice breakfast
Review 31:Extra cost for parking. Reception not attended at all times, but reachable via cell phone.
Review 32:Nice studio-like room. Fresh pastry for breakfast.
Review 33:the internet is very weak. the environment is unsecure if you walk on the street at night
Review 34:the architecture and interior design, the view to Vesuvius
Review 35:Not a really fun area, but great for a nights sleep on the way to sorrento. Very hard beds.
Review 36:Nice clean rooms. Friendly host. Beautiful old building.
Review 37:Friendly owner, design of the room
Review 38:The location, atmosphere, kindness of the owner, everything makes us want to come back. Excellent position to explore several important places
Review 39:parking risk
Review 40:design
Review 41:We had a really hard time finding it because the signage is very small.
Review 42:Room was great, staff great, location not so great
Review 43:The villa was amazing staff were really friendly ideal location for exploring the area would definitely recommend
Review 44:The place is luxurious, freshly renovated, and the view is magnificent.
