Reviews for Golden Mile B&B

Review 1:No loo seat and towels had the funny smell of not being allowed to dry properly

Review 2:Big clean room Flexibility on check-in and check-out Friendly/helpful staff Near to Herculaneum site

Review 3:Hotel located on rush crossroad with traffic during the night. Not comfortable to open the window due to dust from the street and noice of traffic. The room equipment kind of modest, but new and sufficient. We spent there 2 nights as a young couple. Bathroom was not located in the room but we were aware of that before. Room door really thin and had to be locked all the time by key from inside as the handle was broken. Bed not comfortable, was really soft. Price higher and the comfort not equal.

Review 4:Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Great restaurant across the street. Location close to city centre.

Review 5:Sadly we had street works going on outside our window all night. Not the proprietors fault of course. Room was only a metre from the road so traffic noise.

Review 6:Good bed, easy to find from train.

Review 7:Muddle when we arrived - no one around and we had to wait a while -owner was suprised we had phoned but he had no record of our call- otherwise all good and exceptional value and restaurant right opposite- Cuba catuba!? interesting and excellent- . Just a short walk to Ercolano ruins.

Review 8:Very friendly staff esp Maria

Review 9:The bathroom door could only be locked by key which meant it was a bit fiddly late or in the middle of the night.

Review 10:I booked a single room with private bathroom separate and across the hall. Easy walk to the ruins and down to the pier, great breakfast and excellent staff who were very helpful and accommodating.

Review 11:A minor comment, the heat was fine in our room but the hallway and shower room were quite cool. We put this down to being the only guests on these two chilly nights in December.

Review 12:Maria and Dario treated us very well and were very accomodating with our bikes. The breakfast was perfect in a dining area. The building was old and decrepit a few years ago but this young couple has done wonders in rebuilding it into a modern accommodation. The work is ongoing but not a bother to us.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:This is the second time I've stayed here and it's always a good experience. Maria Rosaria was welcoming, friendly and happy to help however she could. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to Ercolaneum ruins and the local shopping area too. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, and a Post Office and cash machine about 100 metres away.

Review 15:Staff were lovely

Review 16:Non ci sono le tapparelle alla finestra quindi la mattina entra la luce in camera.

Review 17:The staff were wonderful, especially Maria Rosaria!

Review 18:The very warm welcome from Gianluigi, Dario and Annalisa. Gianluigi was particularly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were really fresh, clean and modern with uplifting colours. The continental breakfast with delicious fresh pastries.

Review 19:Accomodation is at a crossroad with traffic-noises. For us was not a problem, but it is good to know...

Review 20:Ercolano is a good choice to visit Vezuvio, Pompei and the places in the sorrento-coast. Gianluigi and Bianca are friendly and helpful hosts. They speak English quiet well. They give useful advices about the sights, programs. They try to make more comfortable our stay. You can find lots of leaflets and guides about the city and the surrounded area at the entrance. We booked the red room with separate bathroom. We had not got any problem using the separate bath. Room and bathroom were very clean. The whole accommodation looked like new. We were satisfied with breakfast The choices were: milk, juice, cereals, different kind of biscuits, cheese and ham, coffee, croissant… The style was Italian, the selection was continental.

Review 21:Arrived early but found staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable and facilities worked well. Breakfast very good, nice variety and coffee excellent! Location to Roman ruins very good.

Review 22:Keep in mind that the B&B is located at the crossroads, so traffic noise (Italians' style) can be heard from 6 am to midnight.

Review 23:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern. Also breakfast on the terrace was nice. The B&B is located very close (app. 300 m) to the ruins of Ercolano. Metro station is slightly further away - need to walk uphill (~ 15 min).

Review 24:We decided spontaneously to spend a day in Ercolano to visit the ruins there instead of going to Pompeij. Luckily we found this bed & breakfast with great location (very close to the train station and even closer to the ruins of Ercolano). Bianca, the owner welcomed us very friendly and showed us everything. The house was very clean and neat and at night we were even able to use the kitchen to cook a nice dinner with the freshest ingredients from the food market. We only stayed there for one night, but that was enough to see the ruins one afternoon and go to Vesuvius the next morning. At Golden Miles B&B we probably had the best breakfast from all the places we stayed at in Italy. Fresh 'crostata' and croissants, salami and cheese, great coffee, fresh juice and lots more. If you decide to go to Ercolano, you should definitely stay there!

Review 25:Ercolano doesn't have much to offer except for the ruins (but they are well worth a visit), very busy roads and a trek to station.

Review 26:Staff were really great, helpful and friendly. Room was Comfortable and very clean, breakfast had something for everyone continental style. When you get there the trains are cheap and reliable.

Review 27:Nice and friendly owners, only 3 rooms so no stress and noise cuz ofother tourists, very clean and comfortable rooms and bathroom. I feltlike at home. Would book it again!
