Situated in the little historic village of Brunate, on a hillside overlooking the city of Como, the Vista Lago boasts spectacular views of the lake and the Italian Alps. All rooms offer a relaxing view, and most feature a balcony.

Review 1：Heating was off in October so it was quite cold. But the extra blanket helped.

Review 2：Perfect location on the hills with Lake Como view. Good breakfast. Lovely people. Clean rooms&bathrooms. Inform the hotel if you will artive late because they close and go home which is ok for an hotel on a mountain i guess.

Review 4：This is the second time I have stayed here and I chose to pay more for the room with lake view. The view from the room and the balcony is amazing and it's the main reason I chose to stay in Brunate. Also it is very peaceful there.

Review 5：The room was a little small, and this is certainly not a luxury hotel in terms of furnishings. However, if you are looking for a well-priced and well-located B&B in Brunate, this is a good choice.

Review 6：Vista Lago is a nice bed & breakfast - good for a stopover in Brunate above Lake Como. The owner was kind and helpful - helping us park our car, and showing us to our room. The view was fantastic - we had room 30, with a stunning view over the lake. The location is great - just a few steps from the top of the Brunate funicular, so you can have dinner in the town of Como, and take the funicular back to your hotel. The price was also competitive for the area. I would stay here again.

Review 7：We were so disappointed and shocked by this hotel that we decided to check out earlier from the hotel and accept the early cancellation penalty (which was unusally high!) Lots of issues: - there was YELLOW water coming from the tabs (both the facial tab and the shower) - even after leaving it on for half an hour - all water was icecold, including the shower, even after a while of leaving it on - no heater in the room, and it is freezing cold, also in april1! - The village if this hotel is NOT a nice cute como lake village and indeed quite far from it. - There was no one from the hotel there to talk to, just the restaurant managers from below, but they did not know anything abou tthe hotel so could not help us!

Therefore we wanted help to find a restaurant in Brunate. And the staff recommended us a perfect restaurant and it was unforgettable birthday celebration for me. Review 15：If you are driving you have to be prepared to naviagate the very difficult alleyways up to Brunate. Pretty hairraising at times. It might be advised to park in Como and simply take the Furnicular up with some luggage, rather than driving.

We really loved this hotel. Price and quality - great value. We came here by Funicolare and it was ok. With car this place is pretty "tight". Highly recommended!

Review 39：They should have written that animals are accepted with a cost of cleaning on the page of the hotel. It wasn't written. Then they told me 5 for small to medium, 10 for medium to large size of dogs. They told me when I arrived to the reception. However they were kind and offered me a bottle of wine to cover it up.

Review 43：The walls are thin. We could hear the voices from other rooms. The way up to Brunate is nothing for big cars (it did work with an Audi A4) and our navigation system had problems with the narrow serpentine road. But the hotel is easy to find: follow the only road to the church. It is directly next to it.

Review 44：We had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Vista Lago for one night travelling back from Italy. The staff of both hotel and especially restaurant gave us a very friendly and warm welcome and did everything to handle our requests. We never met such a friendly staff anywhere before. Thank you, you are doing a great job. The rooms were clean and bright, the view was very nice. We can recommend this place!

Review 45：When we arrived - there were only repairmen, who checked us in and gave the key (mille grazie, signore!). Room was very cold, airconditioner even did not worked. The same repairman fixed it, but next eve, when we came back - it did not worked again! And there were no stuff to complain :((
